    Great options. Storing is always a big problem in our house. Helmets are out biggest issue . Great demonstration. Thanks Rick

    That's a killer idea. My only problem is I've gotten so accustomed to having my tour pack, I don't want to take it off! I told myself when I got it that I'll only use it for long trips. I was sadly mistaken 😂 great video brother.

    Great video, what about the seat you have hanging behind you. Can you share your DIY on that as well looks great too

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I have my seats hanging on a gladiator rail system that I think you can get at home depot or lowes. I just screwed the rails into studs and used the single long straight hook. I slip the seat nut opening through the long hook and that's it. Great video.
    I also built my own tour pak storage rack out of aluminum angel and two pieces of threaded rod.
    Tried mounting it vertical, but found the tour pak too heavy and awkward to mount.
    So I mounted horizontal.

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for sharing. I considered using angle iron and threaded rods as well, but, the Mrs. wasn't liking the esthetic. So the she approved the black pipe route featured in the video. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 👍👊✌️

    Is this the same measurements for all years of tour packs? The reason I ask is I'm building one now like yours and when I measured the distance front to back on the quick disconnect on my 06 it looks to be 5 in. Thanks for any help!!!

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching and commenting. The measurements in this video would be for 2014 to 2024 tour pack brackets. The pre 2014 measurements will definitely be slightly different. So definitely gp with what you measured. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. I’ve done something similar. Using the angle iron that you would use for a garage door opener, the kind with the holes. About six feet cut in two. Mounted vertically on the wall studs with threaded rods spaced to match the spacing of the pack mount. I had some left over EMT cut to length and slipped over the threaded rods. My tour pack , back rest and luggage rack all mount vertically on the rods. The EMT was left over from a wiring project so no cost, and I had around twenty dollars in the rest.

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I considered the angle iron route as well...however Ms. HDVIBE had some input on the ascetic and highly suggested I go the pipe and flange route. Thanks for watching and for the input for the viewers. Much appreciated. Ride safe and enjoy. 👍👊✌️

      @@HDVIBE I agree, mine looks industrial. I did paint it satin black. I have a separate detached 2-1/2 car garage for my workshop, home for my bike lift ,street glide, mower etc. it’s my man cave so to speak.
