    Looks like the trigger speed is very low, which is very nice. Unfortunately, my cheap 9€ pocket size anemometer have high trigger speed, more than 0,8m/s. For HVAC is useless. Thank you for sharing this video, probably I will buy this anemometer also.

    Good review.
    I too was impressed with the how the blades seemed to spin without any friction. If you are going to use this for fan reviews, I suggest you standardize your methodology. With a bolt, attach the anemometer to the zero mark of ruler (meterstick or yardstick). Also, devise a way to elevate the anemometer such that the vanes are level with at the center of the fan blades. This will ensure the anemometer and fan are parallel to each other and provide consistent distance to compare the speeds. You can even determine airflow at different distances.
    Thanks for making this video.

      It was just a review of the device

      I know.
      You mentioned that you got it to review camping fans, which I thought was cool.
      Best,

    Hey, can this thing also measure the speed of the hot air coming out of a politician's mouth?

    • @Joeteck
      @Joeteck  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably, wind chill is wind chill. Hot or cold. It's very sensitive to bull shit.

    Please tell me what a gap between anemometer and blowers, it have any standards?

    Was there a review in here somewhere? Not many facts about the device. How many batteries, type, standby mode, temperature reading?

      has min max units, and avg, uses 2 aaa has back light and what I see with mine is it measure any and all air movement.

      @@JoeteckHow? By pressing “UNIT”? When I do I see “m/s, Km/h, ft/min, knots, MPH” (and temp & bat) but no cfm.

    • @skylee5029
      @skylee5029 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You need to calculate CFM. You can't determine CFM without taking into account the size of the duct that's moving the air

    • @coolramone
      @coolramone ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If duct is 6 inches in diameter and FPM (anemometer) is 300, then pi r squared 3.14 x (3”x3”=9) = 28.26 sq inches x (1 sq foot/144 sq “) = 0.196 sq feet x 300 FPM = 58.9 CFM.

      you take a ft/min reading and convert that to cfm

      @Kemer Sailing but what am I using to make that device calibrated to calibrate this? No calibration is required

  • @Hotwire_RCTrix
    @Hotwire_RCTrix 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The trouble with this device is it's totally inaccurate. No documented way of calibrating it. Junk.

    • @Joeteck

      Wrong.. your comment is junk. Doesn't require calibration

      @@Joeteck Every measuring instrument requires the ability to be calibrated. It's how you know it's a valuable reading. Ever gas/petrol pumps must be calibrated, by law.
      Check out the available equipment for anemometer calibration. However I don't suggest you need a wind-tunnel to correct a poorly calibrated wind gauge. Just a way!
      BTW: those other cup turbines are innately more accurate because the cups can't go faster than wind speed, unlike helical systems.

    • @Joeteck

      @Hotwire_RCTrix this isn't a federal government device. The device doesn't require it. You need to be educated on devices that require calibration. Your cars speedometer doesn't need to be calibrated, and that's used everyday in your car. Will you be able to fight a ticket? "Your honor, my speedometer wasn't calibrated correctly from the manufacturer" yeah right
