So glad to see you back to doing motorcycle theme videos, love the info and how you explain it. Naska may i ask you what made you stop racing motorbikes this last year? You were so good! (You won the Championship!) Was it the last crash you had when you highsided? Just curious, but thank for all that you do for the sport and the enthusiast, it is appreciated!
Hello Alberto, thank you very much for this really good tutorial. It's the best one about chains and sprockets what I have ever seen on TH-cam. I wish you all the best for your recovery.
I think "transmission" refers to the stuff changing gears in the cases and the chain and sprockets are called the "final drive". pretty sure they mean the same thing technically but that cought my ear.
yes, in my area, we called it final drive. eg chain, belt. where transmission is the gearbox. eg CVT, manual transmission, dual cutch transmission. so its depend on the ur area/local.
Are you able to order these kits outside of Italy? I live in the Netherlands and I would like a transmission set for my 2016 XJ6N (If I install a new set I would like to get the silent gears).
Hey Naska, Shit this is one of the best video's I have ever seen about motorcycles!!!! So really cool!!! Thank you Naska for your super great and mega interesting video`s! I love your video's, especially because they go so deep into the matter! Simply awesome! Hope you are well and that you can drive the year again at a championship. The fingers are crossed! Regards Kenny
Noise was old chain and sprockets vs new, not rubber vs full steel front sprocket. Rubber used for passing noise regs at 4000rpm only. Never heard or felt the difference between the two while riding. Need more vids like your aftermarket mirror one . That was hilarious.
Love your video mate. Have you ever considered putting sub on your Italian channel consistently ? Would love to see more of your content and you rarely make videos for the english channel 🥲
Thanks! This has been a crazy year, but I'll be posting soon all the races on this channel and starting from 2022 I will start to post again constantly on this channel
I always been using 525 for the racetrack (S1000RR) for years because I've just seen too often that the people who ride 520 break the chain and that can also be damn dangerous. I forego a few percent performance with 525 , but I have a long-lasting chain where i not have to change constantly after one year or earlier.
Changing gearing (sprocket size) may also change the angle of the chain and have an effect on the rear suspension... Maybe not as important to the road rider as it might be to the competitive rider, but should be mentioned, I think.
Two Times I have walked away from my Moto on the wrong side of Texas from my home with Chain problems, God helped me and I am still hungry to learn, grazie e pace
If you put for example 15 instead of 16 front sprocket the bike will have better acceleration but less top speed?!! Or if you put for example 46 instead of 41 rear sprocket you also have better acceleration and less top speed?!! Am I correct??
wait, did you just do a sound comparison between an old kinked up chain and a anew chain and say the noise difference is because of the rubber in the sprocket? Ummm.... thats not how that works.
Is this an infomercial or an advertorial? In the 21st Century you'd either put your bike in the shop & have them do it. Or you'd be competent & confident in your own knowledge & ability! You'd also have a suitable workspace & your own tools. Then you'd either buy an O.E.M. set or a well known brand. If you were going internet shopping you would get the specs & sizes off the dealer, owners manual or the bike manufacturers website! As most guy bikers come from bicycles as kids & & teens we could change a push bike chain & sprockets in an hour. The main problem is recognising when to change them? We all know the problem with chains is stretch & stiffen up or rust due to lack of use over time and conditions. The rule we always went by is: When the back sprocket is hooked the front one is Fooked!
This is one of the most informative channels on TH-cam… always such valuable info!!! 👍🏼
I miss your videos about motorbikes! It helps me a lot to improve my riding skills!
Same! Hope he continues when hes a bit more recovered!
Your back on bikes for 2022? Grtz dude!
Brilliant, I never knew what the numbers mean until now. Gazie Alberto

Hi, thanks! Yes, the injury was pretty bad, so I'm still recovering
@@AlbertoNaskaDELETED Recover well and God Bless. That was a really interesting informative video mate. Thanks

Hello Alberto, thank you very much for this really good tutorial. It's the best one about chains and sprockets what I have ever seen on TH-cam. I wish you all the best for your recovery.
Great to see you back Naska 👍 oh and lube, we would pronounce 'loob' so the 'e' is not spoken. Hope that helps, and thanks for sharing 🙂🏍️👍
Thank you Alberto!
gracias por tanto alberto! Saludos desde argentina

DID heeft ook een kettingkit met rubber erin. Deze gebruik ik nu al 15.000km onder m’n Z800. Werkt super! En is overal in Nederland te verkrijgen.
Hey Naska🤙 Great to see you back, I think, many people missed your videos, please…. do EN videos more frequently🙏 Love you vids

Watching your videos made me drop 8 seconds off my lap times alone……lol in my head at least!

Been using 520 since 2008 and never had one break, my current Yamaha R1 is running 210 at the back wheel
@@Zeebo1uk Which model year R1 mate?
A 1981 Yamaha 920 RH has a enclosed chain . Filed with grease. And if I remember correctly, a 630 size chain.
Amazing...
So , tell me if i understand . if i have Xring chain i don't need to clean it and lubrifing it ? or i have to do it , but less frequently ?

When are you gonna upload the last races of legend cars
And racing is life in general
I ride a 125 and it uses a 520 as standard. I replaced the stock chain with an MX chain only resulting issue was that it lasted longer.
What sprocket sizes would you recommend for a dedicated race-only spec R1M?
Is there a silent sprocket for 428?
I can't find it.
Lube is spoken as Lub , without E , because it comes from lubricant/lubrication.
Depends where you are, in the UK its pronounced lube (loob)
@@Zeebo1uk thats what i meaning =)
Can i Get that noise free chain for my GS 150R?
I noticed the older the pitch the more lube it needs 🤦♂️...I love your vids dude ...you're awsm
We miss your bike content !
God I love this channel
Even on my R1 I always use the psst psst anyway.
fun info.. 1/2" = 4xx pitch because 1/2" = 4/8"... so 5/8" = 5xx pitch and 4/8" = 4xx pitch :)
Can i choose sprocket for SUZUKI GS 150 R from india 🏍️
Pls do video about how to downshift on corners
Select the correct gear prior to the corner 👌🏽
@@daveo9844 about engine braking and rev matching
On Offroad Bikes use non Ring Chains only on 125 and 250f Bikes.
On 450 use X Ring too.
unstoppable
I love you

Yes
I tried to look them up, but I don't speak Italian and the website is in Italian.....all the best.
Ognibene doesn't have online catalog, so it's not possible to find references for your bike. :(
None of this matters to me since my bike uses a belt transmission. But it’s still a good video.
Bmw has a chain that is rated for life. Check it out.
you better say for index and pitch that chains are 5/8" for 500 series and 4/8" for 400 series and not 1/2" which is not making direct sense
Ormai uso i tuoi video anche per esercitarmi nell'ascolto ahahah

In English the chain and sprocket it called the "drivetrain", not transmission.
