wow thank you SOOO much for posting this it's great!! however, christine still only has 3 words in her vocab: lovely, lifts, and efficient. the woman seriously needs a dictionary and/or thesaurus
Seeing this, it’s such a shame Tatiana Nabieva never made it to the Olympics. I’d have loved to have seen “the Nabieva” performed by its creator there, but at least her namesake move has become a staple of the uneven bars!
For real, that girls feet were incredible! Probably the best in this entire competition. She was so talented, it's sad how inconsistent she was, though. Her career was far too short. Especially considering the fact that she literally devoted her entire childhood to the sport starting at age 6. I can't imagine how hard it is for those gymnasts from countries like Romania and China to have to leave their families at such a young age and be raised in a training facility. Some of them only saw their parents once or twice a year😢
Yes but the NBC basically comment on how good the USA is and shows all the falls from the other teams too show how much better USA is and they constantly follow the gymnasts off the podium.
Tim is the WORST, I can't stand listening to him at all anymore. His love for Simone is bordering on creepy obsession and he pretty much ignores everyone else, Americans included. There could be someone else in the middle of a fucking AMAZING routine and he will just go on and on about Simone rather than what's currently happening in front of him. He can't seem to help himself lol. They need to give him the boot.
It still is. The athletes of today are deserving of the same respect and admiration of those of before. If you don’t like it, don’t watch but keep your infantile comments to yourself like a real adult would.
@@saragrant9749 Also, my comment about gymnastics being more watchable then has to do with the judging and the scoring system, not the athletes. If you think I'm infantile, you should listen to the commentators who flat out say the system sucks....as the competition is going on live. They don't even try to hide their disgust.
Let’s not forget that Tim and Elfie called chelaru’a routine boring and missing energy, so that shows you already how much better the BBC commentators are
@cleicsioluek yh i saw that on youtube, it was at the chinese national uneven bars final, were she was leaning to the left and just fell off and wacked her knees on the bar!!!
@96horseluvr did you know the beam is 4 inches wide and a fall used to be 5 tenths but now is a WHOLE POINT! and on bars "she looks like a kid playing on a playground" there i'm an nbc commentator, christine is a coach, matt's former gymnast and they tell the audience the names for skills and do their best to explain the sport, the nbc ones just occasionally point out steps and wobbles and proclaim that other countries scores are too high (see 2008 olympic aa)
Normally the only gymnastics I watch is the World Championships AA or Olympics AA, so the scores seem so low now. (In comparison with Wieber, Mustafina, Maroney or Nabieva :P)
I know you uploaded this a long time ago, but there is nothing on the internet about 2010 Euro MAG gymnastics. Could you upload it no matter the language? Thank you a lot in advance
Honestly, this is a far worse performance from Russia than I remembered. Vaults weren’t great, beam was atrocious, with Myzdrikova and Semenova doing some split leaps that looked like they barely hit 90 degrees. And bars was also atrocious for them. Nabieva on UB and Myzdrikova on BB were not hammered like they deserved. And one last complaint: Kurbatova’s UB has to be the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Like my jaw was on the floor. Even raisman’s UB pales in comparison to this. I’d have given GB the gold. Becky was underscored on beam, but just taking the Russian overscoring on beam and bars away, that obliterates the difference.
Kurbatova was better than Raisman, she at least pointed her feet and sometimes had straight legs, but it was still pretty terrible lol. Not at all what you expect to see from a Russian UB routine.
@@andreid.8568the British actually performed like champions in this competition. Russia got some huge “gifts” on bars and beam, handing them the gold in spite of the atrocious performances they produced in several spots. Mustafina was the only one who got justifiable scores.
S cure how the British girls don't know how to stand properly on the podium Ike russia and romania. Funny their coaches probably coach them that stuff.
@Blitz1209 no i'm not being sarcastic. the nbc commentators are former gymnasts, and know a lot about gymnastics. the bbc commentators are about as bad as the youth olympics commentators
i have never seen more biased commentators; they literally cheer on their own gymnasts "come on becky!" you CANNOT do that when you are commentating. NBC NEVER cheers on the usa girls so blatantly. these commentators seriously need to go
Commentating is not journalism. You're confusing the two. There is no expectation of impartiality when commentating an international meet.In fact, it's expected (as long as other nations are discussed and respected) because the audience watching for it is usually going for their nation's team. If you are commentating for a league, it's different.
I thought they were pretty fair, actually. They were highly complimentary of all of the good routines. You have to expect that BBC is going to be SOMEWHAT partial to the British team, that's just the way it goes. They were still very knowledgeable and did a great job IMHO.
"NBC NEVER cheers on the usa girls"?! HA HA HA!!!! The gymnastics community is full of jokes, memes, gifs about how lame the NBC commentary is. For God's sake, there are US fans who only watch the BBC cover of big competitions :))))). You're funny :))))(
Romania I miss your gymnastics

I've always loved watching gymnastics. It's my #1 sport to watch since I was a kid. It's hard work but at least they try their best to win.
It's really nice being able to watch a competition without hearing "This is a disaster" a million times
OMG YES!
What would have been even greater would be to not hear practically every non British name butchered.
Thankyou very much 😊 for uploading this amazing gymnastics competition
From Vancouver
SO great to see Dufournet and Downie at a time when they were both healthy (ish). Both were so wildly talented, but so often hurt.
Tends to happen when your coaches don’t know how to properly pace and train you unfortunately- as history has shown.
This was an incredible final. Love BBC presenters.
Thank you so much for this! The comp in full! And BBC! Magic!!!!
Thank you so much for uploading... never seen this ❤😊
Was so happy for the top 3 they so deserved their spots. Great judging this competition.
Beth Tweddle, my spirit animal! Oh, how I adore her. GB really killed it here, such an amazing team
wow thank you SOOO much for posting this it's great!!

My heart breaks for Ana Porgras ♥
She did sprain her ankle but made it to the world championships
And my break for Mustafina and Komova.❤
@@EmilyS1234 From what I can remember it wasn't a sprained ankle but a broken bone (fibula?)
It was tough but she managed to recover- and become a world beam champion. I just wish we could have seen her in the Olympics.

Haidus toe-point!!!! *gymgasm*

back when elite gymnastics was watchable
Very true.

@cleicsioluek Your welcome!! Sorry for it being so long, I forgot to cut it into parts.
And kuddos to Paola Galante for doing these spins in split after that famous picture!
Wait...... How can I have never seen this before!!! :O:O:O
Thanks for posting...most coverage is Spanish.

😅😅😅😅
What's the floor music for Marine Brevet?
@96horseluvr I know he's wrong but maybe what he meant to refer to was the fact they had never been world champions since becoming independent ?
Chelaru used a lot of Henrietta Onodi's routine.
YAY! Thanks for the upload.....in ENGLISH!

Who's that female coach from Romania? Bitang?
Lili Cosma
Mustafina 🤩
Your Welcome, I understood some words and verbs but i got lost because it was so fast, lol.
did that first dutch gymnast do a 2 1/2 twist through to double back? similar to what canadian ellie black does now?
Love Mustafina getting herself to the front of the podium 😅
Um hello? Russia won team in 2000 and 2002 in Europeans
I thought so, I was like wait a minute WTF lol.
22:45
When do you ever see an elite gymnast doing a sole circle and jumping to the high bar
Ferrari, talk about 20 : nowadays it is more "common"
@96horseluvr the one about nbc commentators not being biased
Where’s the USA 🇺🇸 team
It's the European Championships...
Oh yeah because USA aren’t part of Europe im really dumb 😂
@Blitz1209 which comment are you responding too?
Christine's husband is a national coach too..
whos the fifth romanian?
Cerasela Patrascu
