    I agree. The process of fixing my life went as follows: learning about myself, accepting myself, making changes to my life to support desired results. Self forgiveness and self awareness are very important for this in my opinion. This stuff takes a long time so be patient and kind to yourselves. It feels like things change all in one jump but really every small decision is what led up to that feeling of change. The cumulative of small decisions such as how you choose to talk to yourself, how you choose to react to adversity, keeping awareness of what you can control, and what you cannot, etc.

    Thank you so much! Made a mind shift the past week and this reinforces some of the stuff I’ve learned so far.
    Started studying elec. engineering in 2020. Struggled academically and socially and decided to drop out in 2022. Now, end of 2024, I’ve passed all my subjects for the first time (studying Education with Math and Physics now).
    I’ve felt behind and seeing all my classmates graduate made me felt bad. But it’s all about expecting good things. I’m on the right track.

    In part thanks to your channel, I went back to university to attend graduate school in my mid 30s (economics) starting a few years ago. I just scored 100 in a PhD level statistics subject, apparently being the first student in several years to do so. It would not have been possible without some of the things I've learned on this channel (both actual math, and attitude/mindset). Thank you!
    Would love to shake your hand one day.

    Thank you for making this video. I somewhat disagreed with the last video "You are what you think about", but completely agree with the message in this one. This way of thinking helps prevent downward spirals in life of which I have had several in my 36 years of life. I wish I ran into someone with such guidance during my childhood.

    The big thing is knowing when you need help. If your life needs "fixing", what does that mean to you? It's a question you need to ask yourself, maybe more than once. If you have a broken leg, you can make all the improvements you want to your mind and body but that won't fix your leg. If you can't fix your leg, you need help. If you are schizophrenic, you need to take your medication. If you can't get your medication, you need help. If your job sucks, you need to do some hard work and improve your job skills. If you can't, you need help. A positive mental attitude is great but you need to avoid toxic positivity. Things can be ok for now until they get better but work is needed for you to accomplish any goal.

      The way I interpreted your last video is: I am thinking about math then it dives into the process of reading the questions and then solving the problems to arrive at the answers. Your statement of what you think about is what one becomes is true. Because what happens is any task or any potential anything starts with a single thought and it also starts with a purpose. So the subject matter contained in the thoughts that are processed incrementally build and builds to a large picture. It is the same as having an organizational structure with all the pieces fitting together to construct the larger picture. A single thought conspires to more thoughts and thjs process continues on the Math Sorcerer train in the construction of more thoughts fitting within the context of learning Mathematics. Starts with a drip 💧 drip to become a whole new world of newborn knowledge that aligns the person with amazing qualities and qualifications landing the person then as the expert like Math Sorcerer. 👍

To be positive. All the time. 🙂Positive things are very neccessary to do a progress in any direction (math or any other stuff). HAving positive, u do progress, you see your results, u do progress again..and this is a cycle of positve. Thats cool! Best advice for the end of the year! Really, no joke!! Be positive!!! 😀

    When people try to act positive and it doesn't work is because you are relying on yourself for that happiness, but if you believe something wonderful will happen to you today or tomorrow, you are acknowlegding that thing is outside of your power and is inevitable. There isnt much stress on you in that regard.

  • @batbite_
    @batbite_ 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Like, individually trying to develop a positive attitude where you trust the world etc. Is good, but it's really important to distinguish this from a more general social perspective. A lot of psychology of child raising very much about teaching the child that the world is a place you can trust and you get your needs met. Fx. IQ raises and falls in relation to how much the subject can trust its environment and therefore have space for abstract and long term thinking. But right now due to social inequality a lot of people are in environments they cannot trust. Advising someone to be more positive and relaxed is good advice on individual level long as you acknowledge that everything looks quite different at a social level and that someone is "smart" is very much based on the privilege of a safe environment.

    Given that this is a math channel, I expected a more novel and interesting take, but what I got was the most conventional non-advice imaginable. Whenever I was in a rut, I always found videos like this particularly upsetting. "Just be positive" puts the cart before the horse. If you're in a poor mindset such advice won't be appealing. If such advice does 'feel right" to you all of a sudden, then you were probably already on an upswing or experiencing mania.
