Math Sorcerer is like that one kind uncle that serves as the only reason why I should go to family gatherings, he just casually sits beside you, hands you a snack and begins giving you life-changing advise distilled down for a youngster like me to understand.

I set a goal for myself in 2013. I worked hard toward it. It came true this year. The problem is.....I now see how I could have achieved a much larger goal if I had only considered it possible. I wouldn't have even had to take much different action. All I had to do was believe it was possible...but I didn't. I couldn't see myself overcoming certain circumstances....my thinking was too small. Glad I learned the lesson.....THINK BIG! Thank you for the content!

We can only work as best we can from where we are starting.
Hindsight is always 20/20, but is unfair to ourselves to diminish our accomplishment by realizing there may have been easier, or better ways to achieve our goal.
It's not the kill, its the thrill of the chase.
We all get there if we persevere, we just get there in different ways.

Then during a few mystical experiences I've started to realize that my goal was much more deeper but to understand that there is divinity in all of us, the whole material world is there for us, we can get it yes but we should never forget our essence that makes us stand in the morning to begin with, without our essence we wouldn't even be aware of anything

As I’ve stepped into my 30s, I’ve come to realize more and more that, at the end of the day, nothing really matters...
My only goal, beyond hobbies and personal interests is to reduce suffering in every way I can. Just don’t ignore the atrocities or misery around you, instead, try to do your best in the moment.
Help kids in foster homes, or donate some money.
Support grandpas and grandmas in retirement homes, or lend a hand where you can.
Feed a hungry kid on the street. Do something. And most importantly, try not to judge others.
This mindset has actually made me happier - coming from someone who’s an atheist and pretty nihilistic in general.

I had a dream, once. I was 17 years old and I had taught myself to play bass guitar by ear. I was by no means a virtuoso, but I could carry my own. I joined a band and we were doing well enough to get a demo done (not professional, but it's a start). I was just so exited...until I told my Dad, a man I love more than anything in this world. Rather than hear "oh wow, that's fantastic! I know you'll make it!" I heard "I don't know why you're bothering; it's stupid! You'll never make it! If I were you I'd just grow up and stop, because you're not going to make it." I think I heard my heart break in my chest then; I can't swear by it, but yeah.... So later the band fell apart, and I stopped playing. Also, right then, I stopped dreaming about anything, and, at 55, I have nothing to show for my "successes" in life but *plenty* in the way of towering failures and abysses of despair. I'm trying to fix my life yet again but at this point I'm not sure if I even care because I can't focus on anything too long ( a wandering mind will do that). So I'm glad I saw this video, but *sigh* I don't know about anything.

Your channel has given me a lot of motivation and good advice over the years, this video is a great example of why I continue to watch your content.
Some of the biggest things I’ve learned from your channel:
    1. Embrace the challenge. Whatever you want to achieve is going to be difficult. The greater the achievement, the harder it will be to reach. Remember that when it gets tough.
    2. Learning is uncomfortable. When you run into a concept or problem that you just can’t understand, that’s when the learning happens. That frustration and annoyance you feel, struggling to see how it works- that is a sign that you’re learning.
    3. Just show up. Start doing something. Even if it’s just one problem, or one sentence, just do *something*.
They aren’t like an approach to math or anything, more of a philosophy or something but they have helped me get through some really tough stretches.

Dear Professor, I have not watched such a motivating talk in a long time. You did give me a SUPERPOWER, you have nailed it!! I completed my Master's recently and going through job hunt phase. However, I've not even started applying thinking that the job market is bad in the US right now. Also, I was lagging behind in my interview prep and lacked the confidence required to land a job offer. And only getting a job first would pave the way for my Big Dream. Such a great coincidence that I stumbled upon your "It Only Takes Two Weeks" video, then this one, and I'm hooked to your wisdom. I know what to do now and I'm pretty confident that I'm gonna get the job I want. I really needed this today! Thank you! Grateful beyond words!!!

I am fully focused on my big dream. It is so big I've estimated it will take 10.000 years to achieve it. This stretches the mind to go beyond what is considered Possible, into the Adventurous realm of "what if this is possible?". Think big and don't stress about Achieving, but enjoy the process and enjoy living. Cheers!

My dream is to become an engineer where I can create products that improve people’s lives while supporting my family. I think I might need to start my own business eventually to really do this.
I want to build enough income that I can go fishing when I want or bring my kids on fun vacations.
I’m about halfway through my mechanical engineering degree. I just finished my statics, intro to engineering and technical writing classes. I did better than I expected on my finals with a 100 on my statics exam and 99 on the intro to engineering exam. I got an A on my technical writing report and As in all my classes. I’m feeling pretty hopeful that if I can do that well now, I will be able to do well in the classes to come.
I like the idea of having your dream to guide you. I always think about “am I on track” for my goals and do what it takes to stay on track- reaching out to potential employers, building my resume, applying for scholarships. There’s always something to do.

Question: "...do hard work" ? 1:25 "Put in the work"? Does the work HAVE to be hard? Or, is Hard a Natural Aspect of Work? I'm sincerely asking because I AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN & OFF when I hear " it takes hard work" 😖🚫😖Why??? Why is it hard? Or, is it work, there for you find it hard? Or is it that when you work, inevitably at times it will be hard? Seriously! Is it possible to Focus on & Pay Attention and Not Work nor do hard work & get the same results? Or, does 'Hard Work' proove your Value & Worth, possibly adding on martyrdom in hopes of More Admiration than just plain Ole admiration? Is there a route of achieving through focus that includes effort that isn't hard to achieve successful results?

@OldBrainPlasticity Thank you. So is tge Resistance to Change Mental? And through the process of working the mind works through the Resistance.... thus becoming Accepting of the Changes and therefore Success is inevitable. So if one Consciously Focuses on the Mentality, Blocks Etc. And Accepts Changes.... seems like That's Where the Work lies, not 'In Working Hard"... 🤔

Things this video just made me understand, refreshed and opened my mind about
    > Having (big) dreams & goals gives you (big) hope; when everything goes wrong you go back to think about that big dream and suddenly everything is peaceful and solutions come easily.
    > The secret to find what you want/want to do/be/have... is to let yourself dream big, imagine the "impossible", connect with and seek your purpose by letting yourself be carried away by what your heart truly desires, deep down. (Let that inner child guide you, and make you feel enthusiasm!)
    > If I brainwash myself into believing that I have 100% guaranteed SUCCESS into achieving all of my goals, fear will have no place no way to exist in my life anymore.
    > Failures are part of the progress, they are essencial steps towards your end goal; if you let fears stop you from moving forward, your result will be a 100% guaranteed failure.
You need to take goal oriented actions in order to get where you want to.

Thank you MathSorcerer! I definitely enjoyed this power of wisdom and motivation you gave me! My big dream: I want to be a Calculus, Differential Equations, and Partial Differential Equations professor. I plan on going to graduate school for my Master of Arts or Master of Education in Mathematics (starting in Fall 2025 after I receive my bachelor's degree in May 2025). I failed abstract algebra 1 despite of putting in the work in Spring 2024 which made me have to change my math degree to a general studies degree in order to continue taking more math classes as well as my general studies classes. I am not retaking abstract algebra 1, I am still going to take upper level math classes in my last semester of undergraduate and I am going to self-learn abstract algebra on my own while studying my paid math classes. I am getting a Bachelor of Science in University Studies graduating in May 2025. It wasn't the planned degree but it was the best feasible one so I wouldn't have to stop taking math classes and I could get the core math classes I need for my master's degree program. In my last semester I have enrolled in Economics 3000-level course, Real Analysis 1, and Advanced Discrete Mathematics

The number one thing I have to do is to start believing in myself. I resolve that in 2025, but starting now, before the new year, I will record my music with the full intent to publish complete works (albums, singles, soundtracks and other media) that truly inspire the public at large, becoming highly popular and successful world wide.
