Good question! Just so you know rings are soldered not welded cus welding would be really messy and it would need a lot of clean up. And I can assure you that these rings will last even if they aren't soldered. He makes his rings out of thick stainless steel spoons so they're durable, hard to bend, scratch resistant and they take a long time to tarnish. This type of ring is called a cuff ring and they are meant to stay open, it's just the style. Thank you for asking nicely! I really appreciate it.
