It's so awesome to have been watching Phil over the past couple months. Not only that, this band is highly technically skilled. Total pros, I love these guys. Great way to start the day...🎆🎇🧨♾️
US Blues, what a great start to the 4th! Missing this very American holiday - I live in Mexico. Luckily there’s a lot of parades, etc here anyway! I was singing Liberty last night!😄
Happy Birthday. Had a double nickel the other day hoping to catch a Sphere. This is my go to see the rest of my favorite people in music! Enjoy your day🎉🤩
Great to see Scott Law in the mix! Terrific songs and thanks for the surprise of Neil Young, long may he run. I remember a great night at the bar at Terrapin Crossroads with a wonderful version of He’s Gone with Scott Law, Jeremy Hoenig, Scott Guberman and Scott Padden (there were a lot of Scotts!) and someone else I am forgetting (my apologies to that person; if their name was also Scott it would be easier to remember, but that’s not the case). I don’t understand these comments: Where is so and so? Why isn’t this played like this or that? Where is that one thing or another? Man, this is the music we’re being gifted, excellent and free. I love this mini-set. I appreciate it. It’s terrific that different players are appearing in this series. That’s the Terrapin spirit, I think. My one wish: to be there in person. Otherwise, I can’t be happier.
When the jam opens at 13:45 or so, Jason Crosby's solo is absolutely fire. Jeremy brings up the vibe perfectly on the kit behind him. Awesome Jack Straw jam! Those bell accents from Jeremy are great!! Love the Keep On Rockin' In The Free World, Phil always playing new stuff!!
This is the best 4th of July show in America in 2024! It's the music I most want to hear today. Thanks for making it real 💥❤️⚡️🙏. I just want to also say how amazing it is to me that you can play like you're at a huge concert when, in fact, you're in a studio. As a musician, I understand how difficult that actually is to bring that level of excitement and spontaneity without the audience feedback. Way to go! Just imagine massive applause after each song because it's definitely out here
fantastic - thank you Phil, have always loved your bass lines and amazed to hear that you are still playing that lovely music - the true heart of the Grateful Dead
So proud of the Leshs. Phil your voice is strong and just what I needed today. I'm proud but more importantly you should be of yourselves. Everyone's contributing loosely but timely. Thank you. Keep it coming!
After watching Dead and Co, i waa so bummed out, then TH-cam recommended this. Brought hope and i actually became proud if being a forgotten Dead Head. Sorry Phill for heckling you, when Jerry died, alot of kids lost class. Glad you are keeping the light on...
Great audio and video, love the different camera angles/editing, total production celebrating musicians and the joy they produce; thanks so very much, Happy 4th of July, Everyone/Everywhere!
@@AndrewSmith-pc8eq if you see last clubhouse session - land of the Navaho song … I was like hmm… the whole band did the thing where the music was playing them and suddenly were in real church
really missing the more complex psychedelic improv featured in one of the last vids with barry sless and stu. i wonder why these sorts of family band adjacent lineups typically avoid that style of playing
The Darkstarathons are what you're looking for (the video with Stu & Barry is Episode 4 of the Darkstarathon). Here are all of them so far in one playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLEbJhLdwRITHaL76pFqrtWtFRSXS9TmBm.html The Clubhouse Sessions focus on specific songs - this week's being 4th of July themed!
Great sound - the spirit of the dead is still alive with Phil
Gotta love phil..
Not quite. Haven't the Dead since Jer passed...really after Brent passed
You give Brent way too much credit my brutha.
Phil took the lead when Jerry left us

Fare thee well, Phil.🌹
US Blues
7:08 Jack Straw
18:42 Liberty
25:59 One More Fourth of July

Nice to see Melvins drummer get included. Def underated!.....along with the test of JGB.
Still, wonder where Molo is? He and Phil joined at the hip.
@@AndrewSmith-pc8eq Jeremy is an awesome drummer🥁 and great person ! His timing is impeccable 👌 ✌️
@@RickfromVermont-rx7nn Not always, Phil had Oteil on the kit for the 2nd Darkstarathon and he was damn good.
Any Dead music configuration with Phil is better than any Dead and Slo Bobby blasphemy
Yeah, Phil brings the Dead swing and feel to it for sure.

That was one cookin’ “Jack Straw” jam! And an interesting interpretation of “Rockin’” in a Dead-style minus the grunge . Bravo, guys!
I think this is my first time hearing one more Saturday night on Thursday morning?…It’s gonna be a good day!
American Rock & Roll at its finest!! Thank you Phil XOXOXOXO
Happy Fourth, How fast time has flown by since Soldier Field 2015! Wave That Flag and Keep on Rockin' in the Freeworld
2015 was damn special at Soldier Field.

Yes, yes he is. Voice, compositions, acoustic and electric mastery.

Wave that flag. Wave it wide and high 🇺🇲 I seen Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band in 2019 in Chicago and they were great. This is great. Thanks
Fantastic!

😂
Keep on Rockin' in the Dead's World!!!🎆
Love seeing the Leonberger at Phil's feet 15 seconds in. Looking completely indifferent -- that's a Leo for you!
swampy lead guitar solo on the Neil Young song. Makes me wonder how the guitarist would cover "Polk Salad Annie" a la Tony Joe White.
I wonder, when's the last time Phil took some magic🍄 ? What's the age limit?😂😂😂😂 Asking for a friend! 😂😂😂
Doses are better😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Id assume yesterday 😅❤️
