Nice meta moment from Holly at the end, where she talks about the hordes who can hear just a note or three and name that jam ---because these sessions themselves are chock full of the same kind of magic, and indeed I'll have this playlist in heavy rotation on repeat at least until I've got all it committed to memory...it really is that damn good
Hey Grahame, I am voting for your dad as "Further Father of the Year " ! Phil, you are an inspiration ! What you have going on is a cosmic travel agency composed of soley Diamond membership. Important, brilliant, beautiful, and blessed. Thank you all from the bottom of this Head's heart ! I Love you all.
Never falling short with creativity, tempo, and inspiration. These sessions are so educational. Phil passing on a life times worth of musical knowledge. Thank you for Philling us in ❤
Super cool and thoroughly enjoyable. Holly , you are amazing and thank you Phii, for sharing your knowledge with the future generations. I appreciate the up close and personable access to your sessions.
Real music: tight, talented and a little bit transformative. The bridge before the Beautiful Jam enters the playing is really, really special. In today's nonsense passing for musical talent it's a great treat hearing these folks giving great energy to Hunter and Garcias genius. Yeah, genius. Thanks!
Holly is the best for this ensemble for sure. She knows how to listen and play - very skilled. Holly knows her Grateful Dead shows. I think she has file folders in her head of things to choose from to play from different eras. This was an awesome set of jams and songs! Shear brilliance!!! Thank you all!!!
She got rousing applause yesterday for her solos with Mars hotel at sunshine daydream volume number three 😊We travel from Idaho to Iceland for her art❤
i love love love these pre jam discussions. it's really teaching me how to think as a musician! thank you phil! keep teaching us and we'll keep it alive!
Fine jam always a treat to hear Holly Bowling. And as the comments here show not many artists have such adoring fans as Phil. (Just a shame his fans more often that not can't show the same love for the other members of GD - to put it mildly).
At least Phil Lesh & Friends are keeping the music of the former Grateful Dead alive and Rocking, with a little Eumir Deodato's jazzy keyboard style playing thrown in as well, which make it even better.
Holly is on fire in this episode (her playin' ain't bad either ;-))! I really liked the Nord Electro 4 stuff she added. Very TC era to my ear; just right!...
Thank you. Is there a chance to create some grateful dead music theory videos regarding the structure and what each players role and approach was to help contribute to the music and sound we have come to love? These impromptu discussions with Phil are insightful, and us musicians are eager to learn more about Bob’s Inversions, Phil’s playing style, Brent’s keys, drums, and Jerry’s role with lead. I suspect there was a strong non-verbal code between everyone that maybe can be passed on to other musicians, which, to some extent has - but there’s always more. Hard to put lightning in a bottle, I know. On a more serious note, when are we going to see a mascot such as clubhouse cat, colorful lighting, and fog machine? Maybe turn the clubhouse into a mini sphere? Just a suggestion. Just duct tape a wall of monitors together and use the video captures from DeadCo. They shouldn't mind. Just ask Bob

Yes, sir ! I am all in. To boldly go ...Further than one Band has gone before!
She is the best playing-Dead keyboardist out there. 👍

I can almost see Jerry looking at Holly and smiling'
Yep - Jerry Garcia and George Harrison's cremated ashes were scattered into the River Ganges in India a while back.
Holly is on fire in this episode (her playin' ain't bad either ;-))! I really liked the Nord Electro 4 stuff she added. Very TC era to my ear; just right!...

🐻. GD music 🎶 theory would be Phd+😮😂❤
Good Gaud!
Needs a cathedral with full scale Wall Of Sound and spinning rose window
Appreciate the insightful table comments and much more.
Stuuuuuuuuuu
Great convo, bizarre camera placement
Wharf Rat hit😢
divine nectar.❤❤❤
Wharf rats classic,
Is that TXR?
@@bodhiheeren No. TXR is short for Terrapin Crossroads.. Bobs dormant studio is TRI studios.. and it is a shame Bob hasn't done shit w it in years.
@@Boognishx89 Stupid me. I have deleted my misguided comment. Sorry for the confusion.
@@bodhiheeren ~ out of confusion comes creativity!
