    I am a female, turning 40 and fell in love with this exact watch in two tone. It is a stunning watch for men and women.

      Agree, the Santos is for everyone, great they offer it also in a variety of sizes 😊👍🏻

    This is one of the only watches that I like in 2-tone. It looks natural to the brand and the house of Cartier. I would still choose steel but if you have to go 2 tone this is the right piece.

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks bro, I think it really works well with the design but also the steel version is awesome, they really did deliver with the Santos 🙏🏻😁 thanks for watching buddy and a happy Sunday 👍🏻

    This is one of the few more classical watch designs that I find very interesting! The blue cabuchon was integrated so nicely for this more sporty look.
    Good example, where I would prefer an ETA (with a smaller price tag) to a rather uninspired in-house movement.
    Hope the jeweller provides you with more review pieces!
    All of this aside: nice shots!

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks bro, like your thoughts about the ETA to be honest, on the other hand the Cartier one isn’t that bad either. I respect the overall engineering they put into the watch / bracelet though, it’s just a good looking fella.
      Let’s see what price is going to be, I will try to get also the Hublot CF in, I had both of them in the radar but the Santos is really tempting...
      really appreciate your feedback, have a great day👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

      interesting thought! This hype around inhouse movements seems to make people forget the reliability and quality of classic ETA movements.

    Great, now you've given me the problem and put the Santos back on MY radar! So much for "one brand one watch" for me, but I can definitely understand why this watch creates this problem because it's an amazing watch - and I can definitely see the two-tone Santos in your collection. Really intersting info too on how the dial design was inspired by the layout of Paris and the screws by the Eifel tower, never knew it was that closely inspired by Paris. Great video as always bro, let me know if you want to rob a bank together so we can both get our Santoses hehe

      @mb-watches  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am all in bro, I NEED this one quite a lot and sorry for the fix😅😅😂😂🙏🏻🙏🏻
      Cartier has an eye for designs, whether it’s the Pasha, the Tank or the Santos, they very often hit the ball out of the Park.
      Let’s see, I think it’s say goodbye speedy and Carrera , well And robbing a bank to than get the Santos 😁😁

    Great review. History and technical explinations. This is not only your problem, Mate. Only the price is a little show stopper to me. But it's looking great, it's an icon and in fact of the slim thickness it's really elegant on the wrist. So here is my problem, again. Awesome watch.

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      😂😂🙏🏻🙏🏻 feeling you mate, for sure. The price will cause some sacrifices if I pull the trigger, let’s see, luckily I have some time left, I am afraid to bring the Cartier back to Weber as I than will ask for a price. It’s sort of sold I guess 😂😂
      But: I also will try on the Hublot Classic Fusion, as I also still into that one. Might do a battle there but right now the Cartier is the goto piece for me. It just did feel right in my wrist

  • @fabfour289
    @fabfour289 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Cartier should make the 'ML' version with 38.0 x 45.4 mm dimension to entertain the goldilocks 39-40mm round watch equivalent. Thanks for the vid, man.

  • @borjastick
    @borjastick 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Good review as always thanks. But I would offer some thought on the wrist size argument. The overall size of someone's wrist is not the best way of working out which size option watch will suit. If you have a flatter or wider wrist a larger watch will fit or look better but if you have a deeper wrist the watch may look too big. As for being a scratch magnet I agree but would say that I have seen very old versions of this watch which were bashed, battered and smacked about and they look fantastic! It is one of those watches that look great as it ages.

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That for sure and I look forward to see how the watch develops over the next years. But wanted to mention it as some guys really have trouble with scratches. Happy still with the purchase, oh and I agree that the shape of the wrist is far more important than the diameter itself. Cheers mate and thanks for your feedback 👍🏻

  • @BobLorrimer
    @BobLorrimer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well done - great clear macro work although I am not such a fan of constant jump cuts and colour changes. It's about the review -not about the editing. I have the medium size in two tone and I love it...it hugs my wrist and wreaks of quality. I have teamed mine up with the navy blue alligator, deployant, strap (I had to wait for 4 months due to Brexit import difficulties in the UK)...it's both brilliant and comfortable. It totally changes the 'look' of the watch when on the wrist. It is not my day watch so I will baby it for a little longer. The scratches on 18k gold can be reduced by a gentle rub with a jewellers soft cloth now and again.

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your feedback, the medium two tone is awesome and on the strap super comfortable to wear. I am thinking about getting the rubber strap, could be fun wearing it that way in the summer. And I agree scratches are not really an issue👍🏻

    Thanks for the great review. I would suggest two improvements for this watch resp. bracelet: First I would like to see a tapering in the bracelet. 2nd: the bracelet should also have chamfered edges that fit to the chamfered edges of the case. Otherwise, simply perfect!

    Did you get your Santos yet? I tried one on the other day. It's my new next watch. I put on an Omega Planet Ocean first because that's what I was originally interested in. But it didn't make me feel the way the Santos did. The Santos wears really nice too.

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I bought it, owned it for 2 years and recently sold it. Will get the santos Dumont instead with the Piaget movement inside. It’s a lil bit slimmer and I like the more square bezel to be honest. That said, I love the santos look and in two tone it was spot on 😊🙏🏻

    I picked up a Santos Medium for my 40th this year! It's such a nice watch, the whole system, and I preferred the look of the medium even on my 7.5" 19CM wrist. The large model just looked too big for me, and I didn't want a date to retain that classic clean dial.

    • @mb-watches

    I have the black carbon version on a rubber strap. The Santos adlc is very stealth, goes with any occasion, I like it alot. Miss changing into aftermarket straps, the smart link is cool but has limits.

      Strap wise you’re limited that’s true, on the other hand it’s really easy swapping straps out and as far as I know
      The Santos comes with bracelet plus one strap or one rubber and a leather strap. That’s good enough for me 👍🏻🙏🏻

    • @mb-watches
      @mb-watches  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well If you tried both and they didn’t feel right maybe the watch isn’t for you.
      If it helps: the medium is a classic size and with my 7,3 wrists I felt i could have also pulled off the medium but felt more comfortable with the large.
      From its history the Santos wasn’t a massive watch and as it has that sort of integrated look it should be alright in the medium size.
