I have had two of these cars in the past, a white one and a yellow one. Fabulous little cars and I always liked this colour on them,. Good job done.

I think you made the right choice . It was definitely a bitza! And why a Ford engine heaven knows ! I worked at a main dealer in Torquay and the first car we saw in Magenta was a Dolomite Sprint . Now that was a pocket rocket !

It is amazing what you can do with these old cars with a bit of skill and improvising!

My first car back in 1995 was a Magenta mkIV. Loved driving it but only kept it a few years as seeing something else I wanted. Bought a 1500 a few years ago, but it wasnt quite the same, plus I'm 25 years older than I was the first time round and the novelty wore off a bit. I sold the Magenta car in 1997 but it's not been taxed since so not sure what happened to it. YPR 672N if anyone reads this. Would probably buy it back, despite the above 🙈. PS great video

I have a few classic cars about but mostly bikes, I like your vids, your cars, definitely your Minx, and especially your art. Great work and thank you.

the ford crossflow makes good sense in a spitfire. more powerful and five main bearings. it's a sporty engine suiting the spitfire. morgans and caterhams use them. tho i would have used a side terminal dizzy cap and strait shot webers or single lynx manifold one weber on it.... and forego the bonnet bulge.

Strange choice of engine? Pretty cars though.

The cars are mad! If you want to use that engine a sensible person would fit twin webers.
