Nice little car , reminds me of my father's 1963 Morris 1000 , which he once owned. A lovely little car .

Another interesting bit of trivia is that all 350 of these were 2-door, although the four-door was available at the time. On fully restored Minor 1000,000s the interior is absolutely gorgeous - well worth the effort if you're able.

Well done for keeping such a important classic on the road... it must be a nightmare trying to keep up with such fast traffic on today's roads 👍

Thanks, Emily; a great video. Subbed!
I remember one of these was owned by someone living on the road between Chewton Keynsham and Compton Dando. I used to see it, back in the sixties, every time l pedalled past as a boy...

Well done so good to see the younger generation getting enthusiastic about the lovely Million. See you all at the NEC in Nov . Fancy doing a sticker for the 60th rally in May ? Phil

At work we used to have a Morris 1000 pick up and some some reason everyone used to love to drive it , but I’ve often wondered who on earth wanted to paint the millennium such a colour as that

Looks a good basis for a restoration. I thought the rear wings were wrong! Anyway, it'll be spectacular when all the work's done!

Nice video, cut dog. Obviously the car is in the right hands. 👏🏻 Good luck with the restoration from Scandinavia.

I had a 1952 Morris Minor MM,the model before the Minor, with a side -valve engine.Moggys are capable of running at 70 on the Motorway.are comfy and easy to drive Motorway.Incidentally 'Unique' means there is only 1.

Thank you Emily! I did enjoy the video! And learned a few things I didn't know! Like the chrome wheel embellishers, and the 948, rather than the 1098 engine! I had a 1961 Minor which did have the 948 (lack of) power unit!
If I may level one slight criticism; your audio seems very quiet!
Do you follow any other 'motoring' TH-camrs, like HubNut, IdriveaClassic, etc?
Anyway, thank you for sharing, and I hope to see another video soon!
Take care, stay safe, and have a great week! :-)

@@darrenmeears4667 I love my Country, I love my Cars, I just do not see what anyone could love about this car when it was made, its so slow then and now, don't get me started about the brakes, and inside 😳 is like you have no right to enjoy your self as you drive, I am So So sorry 🙏 but no You would never get me in one again, once was to much 😄😄😄😄

You have to take into account that when this car was first designed, it was completely revolutionary for a small car. It could out-handle most contemporary sportscars, and by the standards of the day was comfortable and easy to drive. It won rave reviews for roadholding and braking. Later Minors are still quite capable of everyday use. They may not be as quick as a modern car, but in everyday traffic full of lorries, buses and caravans they are fast enough.

@@davidjones332 I know what you are saying, As baby of the 50s in the 60s I saw lot of car up and down the road I lived on one car my friends I laughed at was this, when you look at what Ford, Triumph were making at same time, it was never good. It was as I say " a to b car" it only get you there, you love what you love, let's leave it there 😉
