    Does this bench have the ability to be adjusted incrementally between the 45 degree and horizontal positions, or is it limited to just those two settings for the hyperextension exercise?

    I saw your comment about spider curls, but could you do preacher as well?
    Also, I was looking at the Teeter dex 2 for back decompression, do you think this could be used in a similar fashion?

      @@MrMickeyzee thank you. I’ve never really tried to do preacher curls on here, but I’m sure it will work; you’ll have to work around the handles and / or back upright.
      I think it will work fairly well for back decompression; not as good as the piece you mentioned because the frame might get in the way of your head.

    Thank you for video. I've had this model for a few years and it happened that the front hand supports were bent. My weight is 70 kg and only I use it. Do you think powertec will replace it under warranty after 2 years? The structure is solid but I noticed that the right support, where I usually exit and enter the hyperextension, has bent.

      @HomeGymHacksandReviews The footprint of the Powertec hyperextension is also significantly less than any GHD. I looked at Rogue, Rep, Titan, Bells of Steel etc. The powertec design is different than the GHDs. With the smaller footprint and you said you can do the same exercises as GHD, seems like powertec hyperextenion would be better.
      Are there any disadvantages to the powertec hyperextension design compared to Rogue Abram GHD or other traditional GHDs?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gregoryanderson7103 the biggest disadvantage would be switching between exercises, but its versatility is also its strength.
      I sold the Rogue Abram after 6 months. For whatever reason, it hurt the back of one of my knees during GHRs (I will say the Rogue is a more robust piece of equipment).
      On the other hand, with all the adjustments, I can find my sweet spot for every exercise with the Powertec.

My home gym has a 100 dollar Sunny GH raise I was able to get off amazon and it has held up great over the past year of heavy use every back and leg day. For whatever reason, no matter how many different adjustments I made, the Abram aggravated the back of one of my knees when doing GHRs and Horizontal Hypers. Interestingly enough, the Powertec doesn’t. While the thigh pads are smaller for the Powertec, being able to change the angle of the pads helps me find the sweet spot with the GHR. Plus, I do the 45 degree hyper more than the others and the Rogue can’t do that. With all that being said, the Abram is a tank.
