Nice unbiased review, Coop. I know a lot of people make a huge deal about Titan "copying" Rogue but the truth is that most of this equipment has been around for a long time. Otherwise, every Olympic barbell we use today, including the ones made in America by York and Rogue, should be considered "copies" of the original Berg design.
Got the Titan and I’m a Rogue fan. I just could not stomach the $300 shipping cost. That’s insane. Got the beefed up titan for half the cost, which includes shipping and taxes. I would buy more rogue but the shipping costs kill me.
I have equipment in my garage from both Titan and Rogue and have to say both are perfect for my garage. Rogue tends to have better quality but for a garage gym where it is only me using it, Titan is less expensive and perfect for my needs. If I owned a gym and they were going to have repeated, heavy use I would probably consider going with Rogue but I dont so...
I've been trying out Titan Fitness products the last couple weeks and it's been great for me. Especially for home gym use. Besides for their terrible shipping mishaps I'll keep purchasing from them.
I got the Rogue back in 2015... If the Titan was around back them I would have gone with it! I appreciate it is USA made and feel I should support it the inventor. However, I believe Rogue and Westside Barbell are taking their customers' loyalty and "Support American business and workers" way too far with their ludicrous price tags! I really appreciate all that.. but come on!!
Coop, thanks for another awesome review! I’m a Rogue guy and have their RH and love it. It’s great for the back, glutes, hammies, and holds shaker cups really well. If possible, I’ll always buy American Rogue over Chinese Titan...except for their super cheap squat boxes and cheap bomb-proof cambered squat bar. U’r also right about Rogue’s resale value.
I often find myself justifying the price difference with much of my equipment and 99 percent of the time to with rogue, but the price difference here is too pronounced. Im gonna try out the titan. Wish me luck
I just ordered mine today. Most of my other gear is rogue (cage, barbell, weights, bells etc.) but this just didn't make sense. Rogue was sold out, for one, with no restock in sight, but, more importantly, this is same steel, basically the same build, at $630 shipped. There's no way Z hyper is $500 better. Not a chance.
I'm buying a Titan HPND! I've seen them on sale for about $475 shipped. I don't make that much money so mostly all my equipment is Titan and I have no regrets what so ever.
@@RazorbackDevil The difference between the more expensive version and the economy is, the first version weighs 100 pounds more due to Titan using a 3 inch tube vs the 2 inch tube on the Economy version.

While I think Titan offers a good bang for your buck, their consistent issues with safety, shipping, customer support, etc... just makes me weary of spending my money on their products these days. In most cases like you, I'd rather pay a bit more for piece of mind.
The seems aren't the greatest, but in person it doesn't look bad. This is honestly the best piece of equipment I've used from them, shipping, welds, everything. But, I think we think along the same lines when it comes to buy once, cry once.
I love my Titan Reverse Hyper. It really is a tank and great quality. Just be sure for anyone buying one to put it together exactly where you plan on keeping it. Once you build it you won't be able to move easily.
If you are watching this in the tail end of 2021 I just got the titan one and they have definitely improved it all the welds they we’re perfect just as nice as rouge and I know that because I have a rouge belt squat and some over stuff from rouge 100% go for the titan one. Unless you have unlimited money than get the rouge z hyper
B R Many people thought about and tried that before doing reverse hyper motions on a GHD. However some people say the motion wouldn't be as smooth/effective as the reverse hyper pendulum. Bands could help the motion on both too... however it seems like the reverse hyper pendulum base is overall better... bands help too. Respect💯
I picked up a virtually new Rogue Z Hyper (with cross member) off of Craigslist for $500 yesterday. This morning my lower back was a bit sore and tight (as it usually is these days), but I wanted to try it out. I tried it with only 20 lbs of weights this morning for a first go. Man alive, it hits the lower back and after the first set, I already felt some relief. I did another set and now sitting here typing this comment, my lower back feels great! I think I may fall in love with this thing. The only downside is that it's HUGE and takes up a lot of space in a home gym. I'm honestly not sure why it is built as wide as it is. The top cushion could fit two of me side by side, and I'm somewhat bigger than the average guy. Even reducing the width by 20% would help reduce its over-sized footprint. I wonder if it's so wide for stability's sake for people who weigh 400 lbs and are throwing around 300lbs+ on the hyper. But even then I have a hard time believing that this thing would move around at all. Anyway, I wouldn't have had the courage to buy the Z Hyper at $1K+ (including shipping) but at $500 I'm thrilled to have it. And my lower back just might be even happier.
Coop, love the reviews they are super helpful. Was wondering if you’ve done or thought about doing a review of how well or poorly Rogue rack attachments like Matador, or safety straps work on Titan racks.

I built a reverse hyper that fits over my power rack and folds up tidily, I used 8" from the end of the pad but I can move it and re-weld it pretty easily. Like the content and the vids, cheers.
Great comparison. I have a different perspective than most commenters here I think. It’s important to me personally that every organization I deal with is ethical. I’m not going to judge if Titan is or not. But if they really did break a patent or just find a loophole (this is ok in generic capitalism but not how I operate 🥴) I would steer clear. Also, I prefer to support American manufacturing not only because buying local is better for the planet, the quality is often way better.
I have used a reverse hyper for 20 years, all different ones. The Titan economy is fine for everyone with the exception of a handful pro caliber powerlifters and strongmen. My question is does anyone know if the Rogue roller arm can be used on the titan economy h pnd. Thanks.

I've recently purchased a Titan H-PND reverse hyper, but am finding it very uncomfortable to use. Two other people have used the machine and experienced the same issue. Any info would be appreciated.

Mr.Simmons sent that message about titan`s measurements on the machine may be dangerous because Titan is not liable to pay Louie any royalties from their machine.
Titan Fitness needs to go out of business... Every week I keep buying more and more stuff from them ;)..... But seriously, Titan customer service is great, my personal experience, w/Titan almost no questions asked when something isn't right, I wish I could say that about Rogue...
I used to train for more than 10 years now and have seen more than 20 gyms. But I have never seen this machine in germany at any of these gyms. Not sure if it's crap or just unknown here :D
It looks like such equipment was invented in US and by Westside. Well these "reverse hypers " were even in Soviet Union time in our gyms available.....
I always want to buy American, but rogue is just too goddamn expensive. A reverse hyper bench isn't a piece of high technology. There's no justification for Rogues being $1,000 +. Plus domestic shipping should make it even more attainable. I have Titan's regular GHD and it is an exact copy of Rogues, just as heavy duty, for half the price. I buy Rogue when it comes to bars, but c'mon -
@@RazorbackDevil Not for me it didn't. Just made it tighter. Best thing I can do to reduce pain is not lay down so much and try to be on my feet as much as I can.

Go to the Rogue web address provided in the video description. The pic if the gentleman using in full extension is the correct maximum stopping point of the exercise.
Depends..... If you incorporate it into your program using Louie's formula to figure out the correct weight and number of reps for the RH (based off of your 1 RM in the squat) then yes it will build strength in posterior chain and rehab the spine. Most people seem not to do this and just throw on some arbitrary weight and do few light sets to traction the spine only. From what I gather you need the correct weight for "you" and about 100 reps per workout. Keep in mind you are lifting the weight then trying to slow its decent maintaining pressure and strain throughout the entire rep. There is not lift then relax and let the weight drop! Along with this you also need to ensure the pelvis & legs are extending(rotated) sufficiently deep under the machine to ensure full range of motion. These are the basic guidelines I got from Westside. Hope this helps!
People need to get past the whole copying other companies 💩. Companies always copy each other. Back in the day let's say for example GE made the first TV then came along and Samsung made a TV. That's what they all do. I don't see people complaining about more than 1 company making tvs or refrigerators or microwaves that are pretty much the same. It's called business folks get over it.
You could buy some scrap steel and a new welder and still spend less than you would pay for either of these. Get the specs and make one. I made a similar table out of wood, but I use ankle weights instead of a pendulum. Don't let yourself be price-gouged.
Glad to see a real apples to apples review of this without all the political/legal stuff thrown in.

Two other people have used the machine and experienced the same issue. Any info would be appreciated.
I have the same issue and have been using this unit for a few months now and honestly don’t see or feel any results. Anyone else have suggestions?
@@Shadski I have not been using it much due to this issue, but did notice that if I add a thicker yoga mat to the edge where I lay, that it helps some. However I'm not able to use it enough to notice any difference either. However, I've been an avid kettlebell user for years and am used to doing high rep kb swings with 35-53 lb kb's, so this machine may not offer the additional help I need. The manufacturer just said that I need "get my body used to the position" however I'm not sure that's the answer we're looking for? If you find any answers please share.
Mr.Simmons sent that message about titan`s measurements on the machine may be dangerous because Titan is not liable to pay Louie any royalties from their machine.
Will the rogue leg attachment work on the Titan?
Great review, thanks
Titan Fitness needs to go out of business... Every week I keep buying more and more stuff from them ;)..... But seriously, Titan customer service is great, my personal experience, w/Titan almost no questions asked when something isn't right, I wish I could say that about Rogue...
Hahaha amen!
😂😂😂 I am you on 2020
Been waiting for this one
Looks like you could sit on it- use a peacher curl pad and go to town!
I wonder how the steel tariffs are going to affect Rogue and Titan. I'm expecting higher prices from both.
From my understanding, steel tariffs are only on unfinished goods. Titan's goods come in finished.
I used to train for more than 10 years now and have seen more than 20 gyms. But I have never seen this machine in germany at any of these gyms. Not sure if it's crap or just unknown here :D
The Titan seems sturdier it’s definitely the one I would go with.
Any experience with the economy version??
Can you share how long is the pendulum arm?
Have you guys ever done a review on the Titan ghr pad?
We have not
I just got an email from Titan on their 20% off Summer New You Sale, free shipping, their Rev Hyper just went down to $509
It looks like such equipment was invented in US and by Westside. Well these "reverse hypers " were even in Soviet Union time in our gyms available.....
You need more subscribers
Hey, is that coops son cooper? 😜The good ole days.
Have you ever reviewed Legend Fitness equipment?
Not yet, hoping too!
I buy Rogue when it comes to bars, but c'mon -
My lower back pain brought me here.
Does the machine help with that?
@@RazorbackDevil Not for me it didn't. Just made it tighter. Best thing I can do to reduce pain is not lay down so much and try to be on my feet as much as I can.
Kevin Hernandez I’m the opposite, I need to lay down sometimes to relieve my back pain. I was hoping this machine would help
@@RazorbackDevil itlll help
@@KevinHernandez-qz8sb made what tighter?
Woah coop w hair!!! 😂
H-PND is $500 now. Wouldnt buy either for 1 exercise. You can do reverse hypers on a GHD. You can use a belt to attach plates to ur feet.
Respect💯
you can't...you are missing 50% of the range of motion or more depending on which GHD you have..
@@wakeupworld100
Samuel Henderson You can't if you don't know how to modify it correctly. Also too much range of motion is not good. Depending on the context and goal. You can think you're missing 50% however your really not. Later💯
I'd buy Rogue hands down
can't you just use GHD as a reverse hyper?
Awesome!
Just bought the Titan reverse hyper for $464.00 free shipping! I love Westside Barbell but money talks baby
Go to the Rogue web address provided in the video description. The pic if the gentleman using in full extension is the correct maximum stopping point of the exercise.
is a RH "essential" for strenght training or just for spinal decompression ?
I don't think it's essential. It's nice for spinal decompression, but then again, I haven't seen any evidence through PubMed of its usefulness.
Garage Gym Reviews thanks for the answer
GFD472 thank you for that cool answer !
Titan has GREAT service!!!!!!!!!
