Great. Staying hydrated and staying dry are very important in the winter, and the cold brings new challenges to water prep. Storing the container lid down can keep it from freezing as quickly
Nice! As wonderful as hammocks are in HOT weather, they are equally wonderful in cold weather. I love sleeping in mine in the cooler and colder temperatures
For me up in canada 30 years in a Hammock but at winter is past 50f sleep in a hot tent fits in my pocket. just too could. the over quilt and under quilt you can get a better way and cheaper and save $900.00 and 100% down on top and bottom. Keep up the good work Boony you rock !!!!
The dyed ABUs are AWESOME!!!! I'm probably the only USAF vet that watches your channel!!! That looks like you did the Rite FDE formula for the ABUs. The digital tigerstripe is cool, just the UCP cammo sucked! Yeah, I don't ruck anymore... Knees, back, rotator cuff, just too start. Plus I'm down in Texas... We're barely dropping below 70° overnight. As usual an effective setup for a winter weekend in the woods!!!
I've never used a hammock in cold weather. I'm not sure I would like that but you have a good load out for that. Except I use my LITEFIGHTER tent, I carry pretty much the same stuff and so far I can't complain . I haven't been out when it's close to zero, don't get that here in Florida thankfully😅. Great video my friend. Dwayne
Your bag. The weight seemed to be very much backwards, so there was pressure from the bottom on your back. For example, I would try to put my water bottles and the oven in the pockets closest to the body. The pouch must have, in the top pouch, the pockets of dehydrated in the back pouches. Also, I would check the proper height of the shoulders straps, you seem being a large guy, and on vidéo, the heigth of your strap seem too short . If possible I would mount them. Finally, I would bring my bag closer to the shoulder portion with the front straps. Nice load out. Here in Quebec, I always put my water bottle upside down, each one in a wool sock, like that, the cap, and the water never freeze. Have a nice winter.
Thx alot bro (off sub, but).. you got me buying up all this old acu camo stuff and dying it.. my wifes like "wth are you doin out there".. (i picked up a pristine waist belt for $2.95).. has a nice dark green tint now.. working on more kit..
Thats a great idea i usually don't buy ACU stuff because i absolutely detest it and think that it is the worst camo ever created. However, i never thought of dying it before. This will save me a fair amount of money considering how much cheaper ACU gear is compared to other camo such as Multicam. Thanks!
