Because of Joe Rogan and what he has to say led me to get out of my hometown. I was working everyday sad and alone all the time for years and years. So I packed my shit bought a plane ticket and moved to Florida, now I’m around my parents and grandparents, I’m sleeping in a bed, showers, eating right and waking up at 8am every morning! I now cry just tears of happiness because I made it this far now and now I’m going to take this life by storm I’m ready and confident all because of this man.

I have ADD and OCD. Life is more than difficult. Unimaginably difficult. I can't focus on studying for more than 5 minutes, can't listen all that well, miss assignments. On top of that I have several panic attacks each day, am constantly bombarded by intrusive images, and can't stop obsessing. I have all of these issues, along with no friends or girlfriend, but I have a dream and I have determination. It's been a rough semester and I beat myself up for sometimes having to take meds so I don't call the hospital thinking I'm going to die. It's my darkest moment when I give up and say to myself 'I can't do it, I can't do it. My hearts racing, I'm getting intrusive thought I'm literally convinced I'm going to die. I'm going to need to take my meds.' Man I beat myself up and just want to throw in the towel. I want to give up so bad because I know i won't be able to make it if I can't even function properly on a day to day life. I just want to isolate myself and give up. This video gave me the motivation to go another few days and say fuck it. Whether I take my meds or not, whether I can pay attention or not, whether I obsess over everything and can't sleep...fuck it! I'm going to make something of myself. I'm not stopping anytime soon. I won't give up. No matter what. I'm going to move closer to a better future one step at a time.

This definitely hits home with me. Big time. I can honestly say that I've never been at a point in my life where I was truly happy. Content, but not happy. I have no balance whatsoever in my life. I am 38 and I have not been on a vacation in 23 years. It takes everything I have in me to not quit my job, empty my bank accounts and go live life my way. I'd fly to Europe and most likely come never back.
I'm 19, male, dad comes from the old school, I work out everyday, I go to college and am passing with a 3.5 going into my 4th semester, I do edibles, I play video games, but i make a list of things I want to do when I wake up and even if I can't get 100% of the list done, if I get 70-80% done, that's better than 0%, all I'm saying is work hard and you will feel 200% better than if you were working at your lowest potential. Embrace the suck, my grandfather who was in the Korean War told me that when I turned 18, and it drives me everyday to be better, embrace the suck

Same with me and TH-cam, I love coming home after work after a busy shift and watching, but if I am having a lazy weekend day watching it’s not fun (because I didn’t use energy on something more challenging so relaxing is not enjoyable). Same with getting home; I live getting home after being away from errands or work, I’m thankful I don’t get or have to work from home because then home is boring. I don’t understand others who are (still?!) complaining about returning to work…… there’s no excuse at this point and almost everyone I know has jobs that required them to GO to work during the pandemic

One of the hardest times in my life was one of the most fruitful but it didn’t come easy and when people around me believed it was over I didn’t and one of the reasons for that is listing to people like Joe and building a strong mindset and that was a pillar which I could look back on and remind myself to keep pushing on. I’m now in a very fortunate place with a baby boy on the way and I’m very great full for everything I have been blessed with. Never Ever Give Up!!

Joe, you have a way of talking that I truly enjoy. I grew up with a tough as nails mom and dad. I learned to work early, there wasn't much time to not be active, chasing goals so I understand you from a slightly different aspect. Where you seem to resonate with me is not on a topic. But the way you talk is almost.. Brotherly.. I grew up with nothing but older sisters lol So to me, your words and the message you consistently bring to the table continue to push me. I have meditated since I started martial arts at 9, I take care of my dad with Parkinson's, travel whenever possible, do photography, and work my ass off to get there. It's not a fantastic job I hold either but, some of the smelliest ppl go home to their families as the happiest people around lol. Its a mental attitude, and the way you treat others, the smiles you bring to peoples faces, the effort you put into things is truly rewarding and more importantly spiritually uplifting.. Joe Rogan, continue doing what you're doing, you're an inspiration and truly a good soul. I don't wish there were more of you (there could be only one) but I do wish there were more who followed what you live by example. If that were to happen, this world would be a better place.

Yeah, at some point you're right, like working hard is key to real success, but going to college doesn't mean you'll succeed in life everytime. A lot of "great achievers" in history like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Robert Kiyosaki and countless others didn't have a college degree, and they "embrace the suck" (like you said) but they turned out to become really successful, become wealthy and famous. So please stop saying..."I go to college" ! That shit is old ! Learn from the experts like this guy, Joe Rogan...:)
Joe Rogan continues to impress and motivate me. I could always tell he was a super thoughtful guy just from the way he would talk about different fighters in the ufc. although I had no idea he was as well-rounded as he is.

He is so right. When I had a gust for life and I worked 15 hour days I loved coming home and watching TV. It felt great to relax. Now I'm going thru depression and watch TV all the time and it's so much different feeling. I hope I can get out of this rut and become that old person again.

Same with me and TH-cam, I love coming home after work after a busy shift and watching, but if I am having a lazy weekend day watching it’s not fun (because I didn’t use energy on something more challenging so relaxing is not enjoyable). Same with getting home; I live getting home after being away from errands or work, I’m thankful I don’t get or have to work from home because then home is boring. I don’t understand others who are (still?!) complaining about returning to work…… there’s no excuse at this point and almost everyone I know has jobs that required them to GO to work during the pandemic
I am a knowledge junkie and can't stop learning and listening to lectures, industries, technology's, construction, health... on and on. the messed up part is that I can't figure out what I want to do. so I just keep gathering info, education and many other platforms. in everything I do it always seems as way intersection 4 way intersection and I need to make a call at what way I am going this time , and what new am I going to learn. it just sucks because I know it I stuck to one path locked away in a factory somewhere I would be more better off in life, but I get bored doing the same shit all the time. thank you for the post joe

One of the hardest times in my life was one of the most fruitful but it didn’t come easy and when people around me believed it was over I didn’t and one of the reasons for that is listing to people like Joe and building a strong mindset and that was a pillar which I could look back on and remind myself to keep pushing on. I’m now in a very fortunate place with a baby boy on the way and I’m very great full for everything I have been blessed with. Never Ever Give Up!!

Nice, I just saw an article today about Japanese doctors actually prescribing being in the woods to cure depression. It may seem obvious to people like us but society/big pharma/etc has some non enlightened people just wanting a pill for everything, and not trying to better themselves

All respect to Mr. Rogan. One of my favs. In a respectful way, it’s ok to be motivated by solid principles even if they were written 2,000 years ago. Everything Mr. Rogan talks about in this post are principles stated in writings over 2,000 years ago. Things like: treat others like you want to be treated, all people are linked together by a force we can’t explain, take care of your body, don’t over eat, hardships will come and they will strengthen you, be kind to everyone - even your enemies, so many things Mr. Rogan states so well are things that have held up as ways that work, so this post to me validates those old writings, so I think it’s ok to lean on those things even if they’re old. Joe, you have a way of talking that I truly enjoy. I grew up with a tough as nails mom and dad. I learned to work early, there wasn't much time to not be active, chasing goals so I understand you from a slightly different aspect. Where you seem to resonate with me is not on a topic. But the way you talk is almost.. Brotherly.. I grew up with nothing but older sisters lol So to me, your words and the message you consistently bring to the table continue to push me. I have meditated since I started martial arts at 9, I take care of my dad with Parkinson's, travel whenever possible, do photography, and work my ass off to get there. It's not a fantastic job I hold either but, some of the smelliest ppl go home to their families as the happiest people around lol. Its a mental attitude, and the way you treat others, the smiles you bring to peoples faces, the effort you put into things is truly rewarding and more importantly spiritually uplifting.. Joe Rogan, continue doing what you're doing, you're an inspiration and truly a good soul. I don't wish there were more of you (there could be only one) but I do wish there were more who followed what you live by example. If that were to happen, this world would be a better place.
