I don’t know what type of hair you have, but applying Curls Curl Paste on top of the cream (slightly damp hair) will help your hair turn out like hers and stay that way all day. It holds the hair in place so that it dries in the same pattern as you set it in and holds the hair cuticles down on the hair shaft to keep it from reverting - but it is does not feel like you have anything on your hair.
I just love seeing your hair. Your “how to cheat a perm rod set” is still 🐐 and delivers bomb results 🔥. I’ll have to give this ponytail rod set a try.

Can you do this on dry or damp hair??? I thought I saw a video by Whitney years ago showing this on hair that had been cleaned and conditioned the day before, then twisted and air dried over night. I’m looking for options because it would take my hair a long time to dry even with my hooded drier and I would never be able to sleep in all of those big rollers.

The size or diameter should matter most: the smaller they are, the tighter and more defined your curls and hair will come out. It's all about preference

If your curls are well defined to start with, this style can last you a week with a good night method. If not just a couple of days before you think of puffing it all up 🙂

It will shrink for sure, for your hair to remain stretched, no water-based product should touch it following your hairstyle. Natural oils based products are recommended instead

I learned a better way to used flexi rods. I had given up on them years ago because it would hurt when ai tries to roll up the scalp. Love the curls! My hair just gets so frizzy after 30 secs of being outside with curls. I get discouraged when I use the rollers.
