Well, you could replace the bearings housing with plastic ones, that's a lot less weight

Hi, are both of them clone versions? If so which exact V6 hotend version did you get to fix it inside the BMG housing, like if it was a Bowden version did you remove the pneumatic couple before putting it inside the BMG or a direct version which simply has a hole, the genuine V6 has the 1.75mm universal so it can easily be mounted with our without small bowden tube when fixing it to BMG but the clone version has a m10 threaded coupler which won't allow to mount inside BMG but will create a big hole for filament to enter when removing the m10 coupler so what did you use to guide the filament a link or a video of those products would be highly appreciated

I just did this myself and I got a catastrophic clog... I think I was missing the proper parts for the ev3d linkage. I had the PTFE tube in there but it only just sat in with nothing holding it in place. Pretty much stabbing the filament wherever it wanted to go. I just got a new genuine Ev3d hot end to try this again. -- just wanted better hot end overall. that original Anet Set up wasn't the best and I always got 'clicking' with the pushing of filament. ALS) I did a full conversion to AM8. that was pretty fun. I have linear rails ready for the Y axis if it keeps being inconsistent. I like that you're set up with all pre-assembled (that would have been way easier). i'm using the original ANet Stepper (lot of weight)... but I might buy a pancake soon.

Also upgraded the board to GKMarkiii and got the heating bed on a separate power supply with mosfet to trigger. It's really not even an anet anymore, except for the x axis rails and all steppers are original anet.

What blower size should I use on this carriage? I don't have an ANET 8, but want to use it on my 3D printer.

Hi Dave, great video! Did you have to change the wiring of the stepper motor?
