  • Hello, my dear viewers!
    I finally managed to do a test ride on the Xiaomi M365 with the Rita device installed and in this video I will share my first impressions after riding the scooter for 2 days.
    I have mentioned in the video that I get error 24, this error was already solved by a quick chat with Denis. If you experience similar issues with Rita - use XiaoFlasher app instead of the M365DownG. That solved my issue immediately!
    I plan to do one more follow-up after more riding as well.
    Thank you all for the subscriptions, comments, likes, and all the love you share.
    Stay safe out there in the world, and enjoy the summer vibes! :)

    so. for 380 euro + shipping you can add ~4km/h speed, ~15km more range and drive ~50% more time with full speed before voltage drops to level where decreases the top speed. I also own 365 and created 3 years ago a costum firmware wich allowed my 87kg reach 30/31km/h. What I wanted to say: Its a pointles ~410 euro invest. A better alternative is Joyor GS5 (my killos 44km/h) but my favorite is Joyor X5S as goes also around 44km/h and has m365 amazing driving/manureving harastics and has 10" tires wich can be easy and fast changed and the inner tube and to quickly get to the battery/controller.

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Rita itself costs like 70 I think? Then the battery you want to connect will cost the most and based on it all those “stats” will change one way or the other :)
      Overall, I will agree with you - it is always cheaper to buy ready-made scooters than upgrading the old ones 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Hello! Thank you for the video. Lots of useful information. Does the battery increase the power of the motor or only the range? I ask, because I have 90+ kg and my m365 struggles on some slopes and I was interested in helping it. Thank you!

    i am also thinking to change to 10" tire since a long time.
    but some say that the tires are not good, they lose rubber quicker than the 8 1/2 inches.
    How is your experience so far (how long did you ride them) have you made a video on how to mount them? and which one would you recommend?
    and this wild man BAG, which capacity is it? there are 2l, 3l..
    thank you for your Videos btw

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      cihanlost I do not know how many kms I have made on these tires, I mounted them like 6months ago or so. I think they last better than the stock xiaomi m365 ones. I also get less punctures and they are easier to mount/unmount.
      Meanwhile they will significantly reduce the acceleration of your scooter and negatively affect climbing of hills. You can feel it is harder for the motor to spin them. I only recommend them if the roads are really crappy around you.
      When I ride in Denmark I always take my black m365 with 8.5” as the roads are smooth as silk.
      I did not make a video how to mount them, but I made one explaining how I fit them on my scoot. Kind of a “quick fix”, that works for me th-cam.com/video/QsMlw2OxP5k/w-d-xo.html

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is normal that li-ions loose voltage over time. They loose internal voltage due to chemistry + BMS is consuming some as well.
      Nevertheless, it sounds as a bit too big voltage drop in 3 months to me. Typical would be 5-10% / month.
      What you should be aware of is that li-ion batteries should not be stored at 100% for a long time. Charge the battery to 3.8V/cell (45.6v for 12s) and top-up every month.

      Can you try to turn on the Xiaomi app (or M365 Plus app on iOS) and check the battery cells. Normally you can see the voltage of all the 10 cells individually. Can you try and check what it shows? Sometimes battery gets imbalanced due to loose contact of faulty BMS and one cell is fully charged, while others are empty. Then your charger won't charge your scooter and your scooter won't ride either.

    Nice video but there is no point in adding an external battery with a higher voltage than the original battery, your better off with a second battery with the same voltage as the scooter battery ,if you want more speed just flash the controller.

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi mate, thanks. My firmware is flashed since the day 1 of this scooter and I am using maximum possible amperage for this controller (power constant 25000) and my max speed is 28km/h.
      P=UI right? If I want more speed I will need more power to the motor right? As I can’t get more amps (controller is maxed on amps) the only way to get more speed is to upgrade the controller or to increase the voltage of the pack. Increasing voltage is easier and 12s pack gives me extra 21% of it. I am not sure I understand why you say “there is no point”?

    I don't understand a thing about those max speeds you are getting with an external battery and this Rita device.
    You say you get to 34km/h max. How is such a low max speed even possible, shouldn't it be somewhat higher?
    Not trying to be a smartass a-hole but I get with my stock M365 and CFW the very same max speed of 34km/h,
    no external battery and no Rita crap device attached to it. Just a stock M365 with my own custom firmware...

    • @DenisYurev
      @DenisYurev 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      M365 is not able to reach 34km/h with the stock battery) Please, do a GPS test)
      1. Maximum speed calculates as battery_voltage*KV_constant, where KV_constant is characteristic of the motor.
      When you compare maximum speed at 10s and maximum speed at 12s, 12s always will be 12/10 = 1.2 -> 20% faster.
      2. M365 and PRO has different motors with different KV_constant. KV of PRO is higher than KV of M365, so maximum speed of PRO is higher than M365 maximum speed (at the same voltage). So, the maximum speed of M365 on 10 inch tyres is about 30 km/h, while PRO - about 35 km/h.
      3. There is a software speed limitation in the stock firmware, which limits maximum speed at 34 km/h. Even if you use 15s battery, but did not patch this limitation, then your maximum speed will be no more thanl 34 km/h.

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you use a gps device to measure the speed?
      How much do you weight?
      I have 3 xiaomi m365 scooters and with the stock battery I have seen max 31km/h riding DOWNHILL and wind in my back 🙄 on a flat road it is 27-28km/h. Which I have also confirmed again when doing this video yesterday and disconnecting the external battery.
      You sure you have m365, not m365 pro? :)
