Great series! I don't think I've ever watched anyone's entire series before. I picked up a 2007 xb12r recently that has an oil leak (prob rear rocker) as well, which made me tune in to your build. I've had lots of bikes over the years, but I'd never ridden a Buell before and loved it; they're unique! Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to watch the full series! Congratulations on your new Buell, and I hope my videos can help you in some way to fix the oil leak. I ride the bike to the gym every day now and love it! Stay tuned for the next series!
I have had my 2004 XB12R for literally 3 days and it is the most fun bike I've ever owned/ridden. I've had an SV650, ZX6R, GSXR 600, and a Z1000, and the firebolt is the most fun for sure! Picked mine up with 20k miles, mint condition, damn near perfect for $2750. Very happy with it. Way to bring this one back to life man, it's great to see!!
Always better to get Fasteners at Ace or even Lowe's or home Depot. Stainless, grade 8, or pretty much any type is there. Can also change head type if you want. I've done a few
I just got a BuellTooth in the mail. Don't have much experience with it yet but I hear you can do TPS resets and check out whatever error codes you have with ECMDroid. My front Turn signals are stock looking but smaller. I think they might be a better paring. I need to get those wind screen well nuts. On my XB I have double bubble as well. For the next series: Electric bike conversion or Cafe racer. Electric bike would probably be more interesting.
I got most of my OEM parts from St. Paul Harley Davidson. They have a section on their website specifically for Buells. I am not sure which Firebolt model you have, but here is a link to the nameplate for an XB9R on their website. I’m glad to see it running ..I was excited to hear it start up..I’m thinking about buying a xb9 ive never rode a buell tho let me know what you thing about the bike after you ride it for a while
Damn, SON! When you factor in all the time and energy spent on this bike......... do you think it was worth the initial cost of this project? I don't know about you but I"m lazy as hell and even if I was mechanically inclined, I'd still be too lazy to get anything done. Anyway, good job on the project...... I always thought Buell bikes were fun for whatever reason even though I've never ridden one, maybe because of their bulky funky kinda look. I do wonder about the Buell with the Rotax motor though, I bet that thing is a blast to ride. (Pardon the pun, 'Blast', get it? Got it, good.)
2:40 normaly you check the oil level on the side stand.
Very impressive. Thanks for sharing your ideas, time and talent.
Finally watched all the parts of this bike rebuild. I really like your attention to cleanliness and detail, thank you for sharing with us.
Excellent work man. Always good to see a Buell back on the road.
Roelf Kromhout Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the videos!

XB9/12 = best sounding sports bikes ever built.
Nice. I got an 07' firebolt xb9r and an 08' 1125r
You need to reset the tps anytime you change the idle
Came out nice. I like the round headlight versions better myself. Just looked more bad Enduro like. Good job.

Build a quad!
3:40 that's normal for that to happen while efi runs
You do know you should be checking oil level with bike on side stand? Otherwise you are putting to much oil in it.
Richard Huff you're absolutely right, and that's how it was done on its next oil change after the rebuild. Thanks for checking out the project!
@@LifeOfMikeChannel You did a great job bring a great bike back to life. 👍👍👍👍 I have a 07 firebolt and enjoyed your vids on this bike.
And the oil hot, never cold in the middle
