    I have an Identical unit with the exact same issues, you had all the part numbers and did all the homework I just had to order it all. Appreciate the video!

    First filter change on my 2007, thanks for the informational video and the parts list for upgrading the filter system. Very helpful!

    Thanks. Glad to help. While the fuel filter issue wasn't helping anything, the problem I was having I contribute more to a stuck iacv (idle air control valve). I removed it and sprayed the carbon out of it with some brake cleaner. After I reinstalled the valve it fired right up and haven't had a problem since. I just wish I would have thought to shoot a video of this as well, but I was in the middle of snow plowing in the blizzard this year.

      Hey man did cleaning that valve solve your problem for good? I have the same problem on my 2012 foreman.

    Great video, I have a 2012 500 foreman es and had the same problem, it was stalling out and got to the point it wouldn't even start, my filter was dirty just like yours. My fuel pump is identical. The other line you spoke of coming off the top of the pump is a return line to the top of the tank

    Did you have a problem fitting the new replacement plastic back on like it was too long that the snaps wouldnt reach far enough close but not fitting have same part #s ( from vin# an model #) as you an honda said it was the correct part an if so what did you do to make it the plastic snaps clip. Anything special should just slide on.

    • @mikenovak6892

      Just shove it wont break I had to put a ton of force to get it together. I didnt wanna break it but got irritated an shoved an it snaped on no problem but took alot of force.

    I'm currently doing this on my 2010 rancher. I was having the same problem. but I'm stuck with putting it all back together I can't get the electrical plug to snap on. did you have a problem with this too?

    • @HyperInflation2020
      @HyperInflation2020 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm doing it also on my 2010 420 Rancher.
      Was riding Ocala national forest today and it was happening.
      Did it last time I was out there also, after it heats up.

    The easy part is to replace the filter itself what this video shows. The hard part is getting the housing for the fuel pump off of the four wheeler.

    I just took my 08 ranchers fuel pump off and cleaned it really well. There is a small o-ring that fell out near the filter, where it connects. Where does that o-ring go? ,,would you know?

    Hi, Did you have any problem like stalls at stops or something?
    I have an Chevrolet Aveo 2008, and I guess that my pre fuel filter is clogged too because when I going to stop the idle drops too low or if the tank has low level of fuel the engine run rough, I'm having loss of power too, It specially happens when the weather is cold and under load
    I changed spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, IAC, throttle body was cleaned and it continue happening
    Could be it the reason of my car's problem?
    Greetings!

    I need to do mine. I have let the bike sit for 5 years now because of what I think was a fuel issue. Bike would die under load. Gonna fix it and sell it because I don't need a sport bike anymore. Its a trx700xx

    • @justinheard5954
      @justinheard5954 ปีที่แล้ว

      F****** 15 minutes or less the tricky part is is when you pull that cup out of that other cup the damn thing over and sometimes swelling of the o ring on so I had to cut a piece out ove the old o ring! Cut the ends at a fdßbd super glued!. back togethe

    +rsscully1 my 2007 rancher 420 has a similar problem, it runs until it gets hot and then it dies, it will start back up and go a little further then die again, it eventually gets to where it wont even start, could the fuel filter be the problem? i will go ahead and clean the filter since its almost 10 years old but i need help with it ASAP please, thank you.

    Do you have to refill the canister before putting backnin the back

    • @rsscully1
      @rsscully1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shouldn't have to. Pump is gravity fed from the tank. Just cycle the key a few times to prime the system.

    How do you remove that green clip from the fuel pump?

  • @rsscully1
    @rsscully1  8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Try a new spark plug. I chased down what I thought to be a fuel related problem and in the end I believe the symptoms I was having were the result of a bad plug.

    Wish you would have shown how to take the pressure line off and reinstall ??????

    • @rsscully1
      @rsscully1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reinstall is easy just snaps back together. The reason I ordered the new connector clip was because I cut the old one off. Supposed to be able to squeeze and pull to remove but I ended up cutting mine.

    Honestly if you have an easy time disconnecting the fuel lines you should be able to do the whole thing in less than an hour. The fitting on the pressure line is a PITA to get off.
