+Cartoon Theory You guys make some truly interesting music and ive found it perfect for both the gym and work to draw some energy from. Thank you for the hard work you put into it! (and please make more!!!!)
+Cartoon Theory Niiiice! Have to get two copys hehe. Me and my brother always buy an extra copy of every album we get for eachother so we both have the same collection, been that way for over 20 years now :)
+Marcus Laus The kind of messages which encourages me to make the project grows up ( sorry i'm not sure of my english speaking ) well there will be a big cartel for cd :) and don't hesitate to contact me on fb cartoontheory or cartoontheory@gmaildotcom. Cheers Max from Cartoon Theory
This is f**king awesome. Camera angle (0:56) and blue walls look sick nasty! The K Heavy Ride sounds so good...never disappoints! I dig the craziness at 4:04 ;-)
+Owen McKinley That's actually the angle I'm addressing in the video description. I've since warmed up to it, but the vantage point is more beneficial when the tripod is placed higher.
In all seriousness, I wish you the best on wherever you decide to go with your career. You're such a fantastic drummer and I only wish more people knew about your work as much as everyone in the drumming community know about Mike Mangini, Mike Portnoy, Marco Minnemann and many others. I'm sure you'll get there eventually. Keep up the amazing work as you've always done. You're a drummer I'll always look up to.
Hey Travis! Thanks so much for continuously sharing all your work. I play in a band that's trying to push a lot of technical stuff into our playing. And recently I tried playing sheet music and also working on the open hand technique. And found both easier than I thought (no where near good enough, but enough to break the ice) Its by watching you that I have been brave enough to try, and push the envelope! Look forward to one day sharing our work with you!
There's a air of negativity to tell a musician they're a "robot" but in this case it's all i can think of to describe your playing brother. Every strike has the perfect dynamics and its exactly what you want them to be. It's amazing man. Mixing is astounding as well. Keep it up brother, I love your videos.
I'm afraid to say "ok, and now do it backwards" because you might take me seriously. :) I've been watching your videos for quite some time now, and always wondered how long does it take you to memorize a track like this?
+ovo nisamja This isn't quite memorized, thus the sheet music. I've rehearsed it to the point where it's mostly committed to muscle memory but I need the chart for minute details. Thank you!
jw, do you write all of your parts entirely prior to playing - just by listening to the song, or do you dive in and feel some parts out and then write out your parts? I guess I'm just wondering at what part in your process you put what you're going to play on to sheet music.
Thanks so much for your messages and your support. that means a lot for us

I must have watched this video, idk, 20 times, and I only just realized there is someone sitting there to the left
When the Orbin gets bigger, so does the mix.
that snare sounds gorgeous.
The song is about as Cartoon Theory as it gets, the new mix is fantastic and the drumming is sublime as always. I'm gonna be watching this a lot...
+Conor Burridge Cheers man!

Hey Travis, what's your opinion on the Apogee Ensemble? I'm trying to decide if I want to invest in one of those or an RME Fireface 800.
+Kodey Tillitt I use both the Ensemble and Rosetta 800. Recommended!
