Hi Matt!
I was very excited to see which case you would choose and I absolutely love that you chose my very first case design!
Fun fact:
It’s design was actually originally intended to be an XBOX series X «replica» but then I realized an ITX motherboard would not fit within it’s dimensions, but I didn’t want an XBOX design copy that was not to the correct scale, so I ended up with this instead, keeping the chimney style airflow 😊
Anyways, great video as always! I love your honesty and attention to detail! Thanks for the shoutouts too!
Mad props to you Matt showing the wins, the fails and the struggles to get things done. Awesome reminder that life isn't a perfect tv show where everything falls into place perfectly on the first try.
Also everytime i see 3d printing i think of a friend that is addicted to printing with wood grain filament, so imagine a 3d printed pc with woodgrain ...
Very cool video Matt! You have inspired me to maybe try 3d printing someday :)
What an awesome case! Great video as always!
Kinda cool too see, I wanted to see if we can build a case ourselves, seems it's getting closer to what we want, not yet tho.
I need a 800-1k, 1440p build matt for this year
At 8:00 the failing prints with the cheap white and black filaments is partial clogging. I guess it's dirty filament. Anyways so as it melts some bit of dirt in the filament gets stuck in but doesn't completely block the nozzle after a while they are sometimes pushed through leaving those missing layers. They ruin a print anyways so it doesn't really matter that they aren't a full clog.
You also really need to learn how to resume a print from a layer height. It can be really really simple
The case was great and the printer i found it a bit expensive. But your younger pics...priceless. Great video as usual!! Keep up the good work
Its been years since I saw a video from you. I have recently gotten back into PC builds. Nice to see you are venturing towards ITX builds. I have also done the same.
I wonder if the metal screws eventually wear out the holes. Also: Yes, more 3D printing content would be appreciated.
If you're just switching them out a couple times it should be fine, I built and tore down this case probably 5 times and haven't noticed any issues . The ideal solution is threaded inserts melted into the plastic, but the metal screws seem to overall work fine. Thanks for watching!
Mochi!!! @3:45
Sick video homie
Great looking case 🤩👍 as an ITX builder I love to see different SFF case designs …. But the lack of airflow is concerning to me 🤔. I would love to see more 3D printed cases 🥰
Will u do a test to see if the case warps from heat?
Late response. (Printed in petg) left fur mark gpu and cpu stress test running for 36hours. No warping
Why would it Warp? The melting point is far beyond
@kingbob1278 glass transition temp is ~80C for PETG, which is the temperature that it will warp. I'd bet anything there will be some warping within 2 years
@@Derek-eg9igcase temp inside shouldn’t be nowhere near that… I’d be surprised if they even reach 50 or 60.
@@Derek-eg9igthe CPU/GPU might get that hot but the air flowing through it won't get nearly that warm.
I was thinking about this too for an old fashioned LPX form factor case, but ESD and radiofrequency emission will be a huge problem with plastic cases since the PSU isn't grounded like it would be with a metal case. I was reading on Reddit, that attaching metal foil to the internal of the case should be enough.
pretty cool dude, awesome project.
I want this to be a real case that you can buy, it's just that good of a case.
Just be sure to make it out of conventional parts if you sell it, as nobody wants their case to melt when playing games on max settings.
Props, I've never seen someone print a whole case. You could sell this thing.
I wonder why so many prints failed. Is the part cooling fan attached properly? I noticed that your prints seem to have a cooling issue, also maybe your part cooling fan blows on the extruder itself, leading to thermal runaway with turns the printer off.
Awesome video 👌
This is so cool. I want to get back into 3D printing, too 😂😂😂
i have a question to ask.Would an m-atx mobo with dimensions of 220x170 mm fit in the case?
why did get a 1 hour ad imagine if it was unskippable
cool work
very cool
It's incredible, but that PC looks like a subwoofer 😂
Very nice
How much would someone sell a custom PC just like this for?
Nice
This video feels like it keeps going off topic.
it will warp. my pla warps around 70c easily.
ur PC gets to 70c???
@@SHADOW17018 yeah
Makes sense, that’s within range of the bed temps for sticking.
@@badvoiceallnoise get better cooling holy shit
What is the largest piece you can print?
Ender 5 has a 220 x 220 x 300 mm print volume IIRC
could u put a pc inside a wii case like you did with the gamecube
You should 3d print a GPU shroud. Why isn't that a thing yet?
That's actually a genius idea. I might try that in the future.
bro please remake mATX
see no reason to print flat panels and details, using CNC is much more practical
don't use PLA for this, it might warp. ABS/ASA better. fire resistant PC-ABS is best.
As a hobbyist, mostly tabletop gaming, filament printers are terrible. Sorry, they just are. I've had one for a couple of years. Big bulky 2x2 dungeon tiles and so on, that's fine. Anything detailed, etc., absolutely *not*. Pity Resin printers aren't there with price/print size!
I got the 500th lik ( IM cracked)

Don't print a PC case in PLA
Awful design, poor print quality, and even terrible colors!!
Great print, great colors.
And thanks to @makerunit for giving this away for free.
