    That camp set up was pretty good, mate. Awesome looking fly over the whole tent, not that you needed it this time but as we know in NZ, the weather can come at any time in those high country areas. Beautiful river. And fantastic to see those blue ducks (for our international viewers, a rare native duck in NZ).

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I do like having the fly - just gives you dry space when it pisses down. Also helps reduce condensation in/on your tent too I have found. They are pretty cheap.
      Would love a lighter tent too but they are a bit pricey!!

  • @HeliosDroneWorks
    @HeliosDroneWorks 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alex thanks for posting man! Excellent as always. I live in Colorado in the US and we fish in temperatures below 30 degrees where the guides on the rod freeze.
    It’s well worth it because of the big fishing moving out of the lakes and into the river.
    What a fantastic fish at the end of the video! It’s such a feeling to end a trip on a fish like that

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers man. Always worth the effort aye...you don’t catch fish by staying indoors!

    Dude! 20 minutes in, and I'd say you CRUSHED it! One ad for how to trade Pot Stocks. One ad for Cold Weather Camping, and one ad for how to get better sleep with the Purple mattress! What you lacked in trout, I'd say you more than made up for in ad revenue (maybe), with this 30 program.
    As always, I am thoroughly enjoying!
    ☮️ out homie 👊,
    Kevin

      Thanks my bro! 💯 percent worth while trip. Lots of good stuff going on there and always fun to drop off the grid and piss around on a river. Like being a kid again isn’t it, building camps and fires and fishing and sleeping outside....!

    Once again an epic vid mate. Ive got to try those caramel lattes next trip. Your one hard nut dude. That looked cold. Have you ever tried sleeping in the hammock in winter. Check out Sierra madre nube shelter with under blanket for winter. I use a hammock now all the time. It suits setting up real fast last thing at night and the take down is rapid.

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Wes, give the. caramel a shot dude, you will love it.
      Nah I haven't ever tried a hammock but am really interested in trying one out actually.
      does that under blanket do the job warm in winter?

    But bangin warm.

    if I am not mistaken Alex in this video around the 26min mark when you are landing the donkey, I thought I could see another 2-3 other fish in the water flickering around to the right, can you confirm this?

    • @TrippinOnTrout

      It was a bit cold yeah....!

    Please stop adding that dreadful disco music all over your videos, it's super annoying and makes it really difficult to enjoy your videos. Great content otherwise, but that music needs to be gone.
