    Your videos are far and away the best ones out there. It’s fantastic when you set up the second camera upstream from you that records the take, be it a dry or a nymph.

    One of my favs that you've made. While you were bummed about your camera footage I was remarking how good that shot of you at the tail of that small falls crossing the river was. It shows you really plan out your shots. Also, your drone footage in your videos is a fantastic add on that nobidy else does. Good work, Alex.

    my favorite fly to fish with... pheasant tail bead head. size 5-12. When the big boys come out I break out the 7,8 size. Yummy for the fish.

    Jurassic world right enough these fish are monsters what the hell do they feed on to get so big
    More likely because it is such a difficult place to get to and they are not caught very often.

      They eat pretty much whatever comes their way. Just a lot of food and not big numbers of fish is my guess..

    Hi Alex, river looks good, except for the sandflies! It looks like one of the South Island eastern rivers south of Hokitika where they breed those huge flies to feed the huge trout. The only other place I have seen more flies was above the Artic Circle, when you inhale them, do they still taste of old bat dropping’s? Beautiful video, cheers mate. Harera

    Spectacular stuff as always Alex! It's incredible what you're landing on that new SA 5X tippet. The river season starts here in the UK tomorrow, and the weather is playing April fools with us in Wiltshire as it snowed today! Tomorrow is dry, but -2 in the morning, with a max of 8 degrees C. Four days a go I was mountain biking in 18 C!!!!

    Nicely done Alex. Such a beautiful river... I went fishing yesterday in Colorado. I nailed over two dozen fish. Not one of them could measure up to the monsters you were pulling out of that river.

    Yo Alex, have you ever tried mouse immitations for these big ol' brownies? I fished some in a small mountain lake last year and it was the most intense fishing experience I've had. They absolutely SLAM them, like I think an actual mouse would die from just the impact. If you think streamer takes are nutty then this is the next thing you will crave more of once you have had your first.
