    Very handy video mate. Have been trying to work out how much I should or should not be packing away for trips like this. Still pretty green to all this so is a good start to refine what I take on the big trips. Cheers 🤙

      It varies a little bit depending on the trip length and time of year but that covers most of it bro🤙

    You forgot the most vital piece of equipment Alex, a flask of single malt for emergencies or non emergencies.
    Nice vid mate, I'll definitely be looking into one of those emergency beacon thingies for when I'm out fishing hill lochs. Cheers!!

    That was terrific. You are super organized which is no surprise to me. My only criticism is that your garage is way to neat and clean. Lost a giant snook today. Smoked it, ripped line into the mangroves and broke me off all in about 30 seconds. Hopefully beaches open for walkers so I can go hunt them on the beach. Tarpon are showing up. Cheers. You and Gareth are the best.

    Totally admire the effort you put in on making such awesome videos and the goat tracks that you conquer even those that aren’t apparent. I like doing similar stuff here in Tassy & sometimes involve kayaking, motorbikes or just a lot of walking. Cheers Bro appreciate your dedication and hope to meet up one day

    Great video but your garage is entirely to clean! Impressive. Also, I see, in previous videos, you use flint and steel i assume because of the wet. Also what to you soak your cotton fire starter in ? Thx. Dave

    Nice. Curious what kind of weight you come in at excluding food? You have camera gear, I only take a GoPro. but with full wading gear and what not it's hard to get below 40 lbs. any idea what kind of wait you hit generally?

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Without camera gear maybe 14/15kg, with it around 20/21kg.....stooped videos😆

    Even when you making video's on the fly still great content. Just one thing great to see you have the PLB can you reach it without taking your pack off I asked Garath the same thing when he showed he had one with the terrain you guy's cover if the worst happens and you fall down a steep hill/cliff and can't get your pack off to set it off. with have your fishing bum bag and it been so small could it fit in there

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah generally I have the PLB on me when I’m out there for that exact reason. Good question 🤙

      @@TrippinOnTrout I have activated a PLB here in Australia when a mate got injured fly fishing. Best $350 I have every spent according to my mate. HEMS pilots and crew are the best after cops of course. Only owned it for 3 weeks before I set it off in the Aussie Alps.

    follow up on drinking water. Do you always filter water or ever drink direct from streams? Does your filter water bottle serve to filter everything you drink on overnights? great video by the way.

    • @TrippinOnTrout

    • @TrippinOnTrout

    Hey Alex, Do you hike in your wading boots? If they are sized to accommodate neoprene booties, does that create problems for your feet on some of the rough bushwhacks you do?
