I need to paint a nbf 35" five drawer file cabinet. Right now it's blue but I want to paint it red. I was cleaning my shed and found this spray gun. Should I just use home depot spray cans or should I purchase a compressor and use my jar sprayer? Thank u
That will certainly help eliminate moisture from tank and condensation in the airlines from developing and landing on your finished work. If you don't have one, at least drain the water from the compressor tank and keep the air lines off of the cool floor.
I just bought one of these and I think the best thing for latex paint is to #1 strain and thin it, #2 turn the air pressure up to 45-50 psi, #3 keep the spray gun further away than 3-5 inches from the workpiece. That is way too close.
@@l5k656 you'll have to look at the thinning directions on the can. Every paint brand and type have their own specific thinning methods. Usually water for latex whether it's interior or exterior but floetrol should work too if that's what you're more comfortable using.
I've used this gun in my shop for the last 6 yrs. . I thin the paint with windshield wash to a buttermilk consistency and it works great.

Should I install an inline filter before spraying?

Can you thin exterior latex with water or do you need to use Floetrol?
