I need to paint a nbf 35" five drawer file cabinet. Right now it's blue but I want to paint it red. I was cleaning my shed and found this spray gun. Should I just use home depot spray cans or should I purchase a compressor and use my jar sprayer? Also to clean it I just run thinner after?
To clean mine I just wipe it down with paper towels and run a pipe. Leaner threw the tube. And you might be better off just using spray paint if it’s just the one project
@Michael Aver I already went to buy oil based red paint to use with my critter and this guy at lowes gave tsl to clean critter gun after. I asked him if I need it to thin paint and he said no??
I was wondering if i can use this paint with my critter gun?? I bought some red rust-oleum oil based paint to spray paint 2 large metal cabinets. The guy gave me TSL throat seal liquid to clean it after. Did I get everything I need for this project??
The Pink Diamonds That’s correct. I simply trying to demonstrate that it can be run at the same PSI as other pneumatic tools. Still good information I should have included, thank you
I know it’s an old video how much do you cut your paint? I am having a hard time not getting it to atomize and not get runs. I could just be heavy handed
I typically do not cut the paint that I spray You might need to turn up the air pressure? I run mine at about 2x-3x the recommended air pressure. Abd be sure adjust the tube hight
What did you mean when you said it isn't good for precision work? Like did your cabinets come out looking professional, or is this more of a quick and dirty kind of tool?
Hell ya, I'll check it out!
I bought this sprayer but haven’t tried it yet. Such good reviews I’m excited to try it. Thanks for video.
Do you think I could spray stain on a shed?

Very narrow pattern - could lead to tiger striping. How is the overspray? Seems excessive pressure.
I need something that can atomize super fine thin lacquer like a mist with no orange peel. What do you think?
They recommend 30 psi. You then can adjust the psi up
or down base on your paint viscosity.

How do you regulate the pressure?
My air compressor has a pressure out regulator.

@@5711nbc by tube height you mean that little brass nipple that the paint comes out of.
@@ar15tac yes
I run mine at 90 psi bit add about 1/3 of water.
The gun cost $350 on ebay 😝
Thanks for the review. Your shop is awesome

It’s not great for fine detail work like an airbrush. And yes my cabinets came out great
