🔴If you have any questions let me know in the comments below! I love talking about all things street photography. As always thanks heaps for watching 🙏
Really really enjoyed watching this. As an amateur hobbyist is was blow away by how good some of the photos were especially the guy/hand with sunglasses and the priest with the black beard. Superb. Best regards
I particulary love the pictures at 09:00 and 09:17! I love the colors. My questions: How do you get such well lit pictures inside the buildings like the church? (09:37) I am struggling a lot with indoot pictures because my shutterspeed has to be so low that everything seems blurry. Do you mind sharing your ISO/f-stop? And also when do we get a editing tutorial from you? :D
So great video Tim! I'm in my first steps into street photography, and your channel is very inspiring and helps me improve observing and capture moments as real as possible. Thank you!
I love this approach, Tim. It really gives a feel of the place and you got some really good shots. You commentary was very interesting too, which I think adds something extra for the viewer.
Stunning images as (almost) every time coming out of your camera (9:18 and 16:55 being my favorites in this video). Thanks again! [edit: time marks fixed]
I missed more shots than I made the last time I was at the farmer's market. I need to start fishing for images instead of hunting for them. Sit on a spot and wait for something to happen. Thanks for giving me things to think about.
Thank you for your inspiration, it's a challenge for me to make a Doku style photos, but shoot photo in market is something I start to enjoy and get a bit of feeling
Really love your style of documenting and i tend to do it in a similar way when I'm out and about in a foreign city. It's a great inspiration to do more traveling and visit places apart the obvious as well. Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing, I really enjoy your videos and photographs. I was wondering, how you prepare your camera for each quick shot. You do zone focusing?
Another great video! Thank you. It looks like many of the people you photographed were with your flippy screen turned up, so you’d be more discreet. Right? I wish I were as observant of the quick captures you managed, so you’ve helped me to be more alert to those opportunities.
Thank you, really enjoyed this video. Funnily enough I was in Tbilisi recently and loved the city. One thing I struggle with is taking photos of people on the street, it makes me nervous that it will lead to confrontation and also because I like my privacy. Do you ever have issues like that and how do you work to overcome them?
It’s a great city! Not at all, depends how you approach it, if you’re bold and don’t try to hide and you have a smile and open body language then most always the time it’s fine. Very very rarely have a confrontation at all :)
Thank you, Martin! Yeah same trip, spent about two weeks in total in Georgia and Armenia. Used to travel a lot back before Covid and my partner and I are making our way to locations that used to be on the old Silk Road. Georgia and Armenia have been on our list for ages, so nice to finally go :)
Interesting point of view, great photos (the priest, the vendor with the sunglasses and the old woman at the market are my favourites), I would like to be on a plane to Tbilisi. What are yours usual settings for street?
Cool pics and commentary. B&W of guy w/monkey is special, IMO - they almost look alike. What’s the difference between documentary street photography and photojournalism?
Thank you, glad you like that one. For me photojournalism is more about documenting an event, or a place or a people, and can include candid or non-candid photos. Street photography generally is snapshots of life in a public place candidly, but photojournalism and street photography can cross over depending on your approach
I really liked your points of view. Imagine me telling a friend, "Oh, I watched a guy wander around Tbilisi and what he said about the monkey parrot guy really made me think." ;)
If I went back to Morocco I would take completely different pictures now. The photos I used to take are simple and now I find boring. My old work was easy to please folks who just like pretty pictures. If you don’t like or don’t get what I’m doing now that’s cool, but I love it
@@timjamiesonphotos Sorry to hear that you feel that your work has improved. Your Morocco work had a glimpse of hope. Btw… That is not a subjective opinion but an observation. There is one Alex Webb, only one Winogrand. But I do not need to tell you that you already knıow. Let’s catch up on this conversation in 20 years time if we are both around.
@@timjamiesonphotos My sincerest apologies you do not need my advice, nor anyone’s suggestions or observations. On that no matter what work I have done or information on my accomplishments on Wikipedia, IMDB or elsewhere would not change a thing. As you said you don’t take feedback.

I’ve watched a lot of street photography videos but your way of doing it is amazing
Thank you so much 🙂

Ah thanks so much, Kaitlin!
Your narration really is very helpful while watching. Love your channel! Learning a lot!

Brilliant.
Thanks!
16:39 is the best among all of them!
I like your style.
Thank you! 📸
I really like yours photos, and how you go through the process. It feels so legitimate
Thank you! That’s very kind to say 🙏🏻
I loved the architecture of the buildings
It’s a really pretty but also not pretty city if that makes sense haha

Man, this is so good. You're way of shooting resonates with me. Love your photos!

Thanks for giving me things to think about.
I've been telling myself "Find the scene, and THEN the actors." It's been helping me with that intention.
Thanks Scott!

Will definitely do a video soon about the different kinds of street photography soon, including documentary and travel 👍🏻
Just found your channel. Great content! Cheers from The NL! 🇳🇱
Thanks heaps man!
Beautiful photos bro!
Cheers!
Thank you for sharing, I really enjoy your videos and photographs. I was wondering, how you prepare your camera for each quick shot. You do zone focusing?
Thanks! I either use zone focusing or single point auto focus depending on the lighting conditions :)
Thankyou from Australia!
My pleasure! Hope all is well Down Under 👌🏻
Love hearing about your process 🔥
Thanks mate! Glad you liked it 🙏🏻
I'm loving your videos! Would you be able to talk about your editing process?

Great shots mate

Ah thank you! That’s the best comment I could get from this video. If you get the chance to go you should, it’s a lovely city 🙏🏻
Reminds me of a video that the real sir robin posted recently. Seems to be the place to be this year.
@@Flyaway744XI’ve not seen it! Will need to check it out
Very interesting!
Thanks!
Another great video. Was this part of the same trip as Armenia? And what prompted the visit?

Thanks heaps! Glad you enjoyed. I usually shoot in manual with auto iso :)
I like your color shots way more than the B&W, they are more interesting to me.
Thanks
Do you zone focus? cuz your street photography seems effortless and fast way quicker than autofocus
In this video all auto focus, but I usually do a mixture of both. And thank you very much! 🙏🏻

Also the shot at 16:47, you mention that it makes you ask a lot of questions. I am wondering what those questions are? Bloke rubbing a statue...
Where is it? What is going on? Why is he doing that? What does it mean to him?
I really liked your points of view. Imagine me telling a friend, "Oh, I watched a guy wander around Tbilisi and what he said about the monkey parrot guy really made me think." ;)
Ah thank you, Chris!
Are you shooting with electronical shutter?
Yes
你用手动还是光圈优先拍摄
Manual :)
What is your favourite f stop for street photography?
I try to shoot above f8 as I like a deep depth of field
"I liked the colours and the virbance of the flowers" - 1 sec later - he shows a black and white picure 😂
Then one sec later I show a colour picture. I never understand people who feel the need to write a comment like this 😴
