I just made my first set of modified parts and got insanely lucky to the point I have 3/4 the mats I'd need for another set of parts and upgrades. My hope is to have all four upgraded by the time Dawntrail releases. I just wish for someone who has trouble with the acronym stuff, that people would write things out fully for builds. Started following this guide like four months ago. Subs will be home in the morning and i can finally outfit them in WSUC! Awesome guide, sir! I'll be back in a FREAKIN YEAR to commend you again when i hit 101 and upgrade to the next stage! lmao.
So I've been spearheading the Submersible project solo for my own FC, and I will say that you can technically start the gil making process at rank 75 with fully modified sub parts running the JORZ course. The subs at rank 75 and fully modified with the recommended parts will only be able to go to JO until rank 82 (or 84, I forget which one) and then they can hit JOR for a 36 hour cycle. At some point, you'll be able to do the full JORZ rotation, but I only recommend doing this if you want to start making gil as swiftly as possible, even if it slows the leveling process down, preventing you from hitting those higher thresholds faster. My submersibles are all between 76-85, and I'm still pulling a couple million or so while they level throughout the week / week and a half time frame, and starting that process as fast as I could helped facilitate me paying for materials for the latter crafted submersibles.

Huh. I just checked and my FC has four 81-90 subs right now. I took over my FC a year ago because everyone else got burnt out. I've maintained control of it, but with only 6 people logging in within the last year, I didn't really do much besides logging in biweekly to keep our FC house and my leadership. I can't believe I've been sleeping on this lucrative Gil-making machine!!

THANK YOU! I have been trying to find information on how subs work but I have not been able to understand any of the information I've come across. This video was HUGE help. You're getting a sub for this sub video.
Thank you so much dude ❤️ this video saved me from being poor! A couple of months ago I watched your video and did everything you said. Now I have 4 subs farming gil with OJ! I did all the parts for subs and everything without buying anything from the market board, gather all the mats and everything alone 🔥 so it can be done by 1 person a 100% (For people wondering, just use crafting websites to track your mats and timed nodes and it makes the crafting extremelly simple, you can gatherer and craft everything ahead of time)
I can add my own 2 gil on this as the person who mans the subs for my FC. Bubs is correct on pacing yourself. You are right to get hyped about the money, which is awesome, but for most people who started today they'd barely start recouping their investment by Christmas. It's a slow process and you just have to get into a rhythm with it. Also, get ready to grind those repair kits. XD
It really boils down to; if you are alright with losing a lot of gil to start a project that you may not see profit on in potentially a year, okay with potentially ditching your FC if and when someone tries to muscle in and cash out on your hard work having done nothing (really only a problem if it's a sizeable FC though; a friend group FC would understand to respect the boundary on something like that), and having a side project that effectively requires itself to always be on your mind to reap the full benefits of it. I ditched my FC for a chance at a house on Dynamis (a decision that was questionable to begin with, but I had planned on moving to Dynamis regardless), got an FC medium for myself, ran myself down 56 million with the cost of the house and subs, and only paid off the house 6 months later. It's a long grind, but worth it with how fairly low maintenance and effort it is when you get it all running. And I wouldn't have someone over my shoulder trying to guilt trip me into donating up to a few million for each Free Company event that I wouldn't have ever participated in.
Started 05/11/24, currently 8/15/24. I have been mostly soloing this while gathering and crafting the majority that I can. Currently have all 4 subs, have unlocked the first and second map, and my subs are: 75, 74, 74, and 65. May end up at 84 sometime next month. Really appreciate this video!
Update: 3 Subs at 94, the explorer sub is at 101 time to upgrade it, set it to farm JROZ. With only 3 subs farming all this time we're generating on average 2.5 mil per week.
This is the video I needed. Something to explain how I could make passive income without interacting with the market board using a system I already have access to.
Thank you. Because of this video I have a reason for the subs. Before it was a novelty thing to get items without having to pay for them. Having all 4 subs going and, 2 in the late 60s, this plan is so doable and so easy. THANK YOU!!! THIS MADE IT ALL MASE SENCE!!!
I have my own FC with a 4 sub fleet doing this exact method and I wouldn't be mad if they nerfed this. I'm surprised they haven't - especially with the amount of shell FCs you see. It's not *too* easy - it's a lot of work to get it set up and running and takes a while before you see a ROI - but it's a feature that shouldn't be locked behind FC housing imo.
With the heavy time investment required, I doubt they'll nerf this like they did leves. Shadowbringer's Coffee Biscuit was more of a Gil nightmare. Since that was low effort, triple turn in, for double gil each, on (3) HQ craft per Leve used. Which you could max 100 atleast twice a month. Yes you had to make 900 Coffee Biscuits, but Gil ROI was broken.
@@Icy.Jalapeno You're right, the fact that it's heavy time investment and locked behind something quite limited means it won't spiral like the leve situation did. Everyone did the leves (although Dwarven Mythril was better than Coffee Biscuits for ROI). The subs and this method have been around for ages as well, so the fact it hasn't been nerfed after so long may mean you can be optimistic about the future of your fleet. However, seeing a certain streamer/TH-camr with over 100 FCs/fleets make over a billion a month with this method... you have to admit once it's all set up for farming that zone, submarines are nuts and all they have to do to nerf it is reduce the value of the salvaged pieces.
So they nerfed all the gems that you get from salvaged farming in 5.4? I think. And in return they upped how much salvaged acc were worth so it evened out. I don’t think they plan on changing it again from there.
first of all: your guide is really extremely helpful! I just have one question: what is the best thing to do with old, no longer used ship parts? I saw that you can exchange them for a "box", but I can't find an explanation ANYWHERE about what this is good for and how you could use it for whatever...
You take them to the NPC named "Material Supplier"- there's one in every housing district, and they have a menu option called "Submersible Frames" Then you trade that part for a frame of the same name (which conveniently stacks, so if you;'re making a lot of submersibles all at once it can help save on inventory space). As for what to do with the frames when you have them, once you unlock the Submersible VI set of schematics from the schematic board, the very first item needed for a Modified submersible part is that type of frame (so if you're making a Modified Shark-class Pressure Hull, you needed to turn in a normal Shark-class Pressure Hull for a Shark-class pressure Hull Frame).
Hmmm I wonder if im messing something up? I have 3 ships running wsuc OJ at lvl 85+ and i keep getting garbage like rubies and saphires? Ive gotten some extravagent stuff etc....but today I literally only made 35k from all 3 of them. Do I just have bad rng?
This has been my experience as well. My best days were 622K and 376K but most are between 100K and 200K with a lot of useless gems This is sending out 4 subs every couple of days.
This video's a year old, how have the sub income rates changed since? do you plan on making a new video with the updated numbers? I just started leveling my subs I have only unlocked 2 so far haha been doing it by myself so my Gil has suffered quite a bit but im being patient. Also how far can you push the shark class sub now? I have 2 being used and 2 more I already crafted in storage for when I unlock them. last question is what do you do with the old parts after you can't use them anymore?
Ha this is some nice timing. Been meaning to look up those Sectors again. Once tried that Method to see how it goes but then forgot the Sectors after going back to unlocking the new ones
What does the rank mean on the individual parts of the submarine when you craft them? Does that go up the more you send it out? Not the overall rank of the sub, but the individual pieces you craft and can have in your inventory. Thank you!
It means the Sub needs to be that Rank in order to equip that part. For example, a brand new Sub at rank 1 can ONLY equip Shark parts. Once the sub has ranked up to 15, you can use Shark (requires the sub be rank 1 at least) or Unkiu (requires the sub be rank 15 at least).
I had been slowly working on an FC I took over with the subs and airships and started doing subs/airships with some friends in their FC so I am handling two of them right now. I wish I saw this video way sooner so I could have saved some gil. I just wish that the three level 50 airships my other FC has was worth something.
There are some mats for housing items that ONLY come from airship ventures, so if you wanted to send one of those out to farm for those items it can be another way of making gil. It's just not as consistent as th subs, so a lot of ppl don't bother- which leaves those item perpetually in low supply
Is there a limit for submarines per fc or can anyone start their own as long as you are in an fc? Would be important to know if there are 5 submarines per fc and officers/leaders are running them all the time for their own profit or if every player of an fc can start their own submarines and get their own profit... i am in a huge/maxed out fc and i got already notifications about submarines so i dont know if i could start my own submarines now or if they are taken by officers.
So, with WSUC++ at rank 89 going OJ.. it's normal for it to sometimes not bring back any salvaged stuff, right? The gil per day is an average collected over time, right?
Running Modified parts can get awfully expensive though (in terms of Repair Kits), so running WSUC builds on an OJ route should suffice for most filthy casuals who don't want to get too "greedy." For those of you who are new to this and are just starting out, welcome to Fight Club. 💕
I've been running the JORZ route and maintaining the subs (full modified) since July 2023. As long as you have a level 50 miner and/or botanist and at least one crafter at 50 with the recipe, you should be able to craft the repair kits. The Grade 6 Dark Matter can be bought with Grand Company Seals and the Dark Matter Clusters are farmed.
I think because I'm a completionist, I'm gonna focus on getting everything to 115, keep an airship to farm mats while the subs focus on XP and unlocking stuff. Once that's done, I'll farm JORZ
Any time you earn GC seals, you also get FC seals, so when I'm running low on my solo FC I just go unsync some dungeons and hand over the loot til I have enough FC seals to last me a while.
I've been slowly making my way (making my way ♫) leveling up my sub. I reached level 60 this week so I still have much to do. I have a second one but is like level 20 or something lame like that. I'll rewatch this once I hit level 85, I guess!
I totally don't have 3 subs at rank 100+ drifting through the final map while wondering "When does this start making money?" right now...not at all. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go take a long walk off a short cliff.
First rule of Fight Club...You don't talk about Fight Club! Second Rule of Fight Club... You don't talk about Fight Club! Also 4 Mill is generous if you are extremely lucky that week. On average, you are more likely to get around 2.5 mill a week.
@@knightx630Well firstly, you need the general 3 million gil, plus I believe upwards of 500k gil for the small and its housing permit unless you get the permit for cheaper on the MB. Wealth. And then if you're on a server with a lot of lottery entries for a house..? Luck. Anyone with basic intelligence would realize that.
@@MMDTrxsh3 mil between multiple people is easy mode. Getting an FC house in an FC ward is easy mode. 500k between 3 people is also easy mode. Mfers when the group centric system can’t be solo’d as easily as an unsynced sashtasha run: 😮
When you say "OJ", do you mean to literally farm node O and J over and over? Also, can I do this before level 85? I started sending out my sub (Only 3 of us in FC) and have reached rank 22. Can I start farming O and J now or no?
Yeah just send them out to O and J in a voyage over and over. You can send them earlier if you upgrade the ship a lot but you need certain stats to hit certain breakpoints to get the good drops. Its complicated. I boiled it down as much as possible for this video
Im so glad i bothered with subs. Ive never made money because i barely pay attention but i have all 4 unlocked and at least 2 over lvl 85. I have sssc++ because at one point i tried but now at least my smooth brain has better directions.
As a fellow Admiral of a fleet that is now at 400+ Submarines, I am so happy I found your video. I often help people with their subs and I found your video to be a helpful starting point. I created my fleet solo with multiple accounts but it is very possible to do with motivated and reliable friends. If you ever need some info on optimizing builds for faster leveling (without breaking the bank!), just let me know! One thing I always tell people is, 'Retainers are the secret!', they are probably the most powerful tool you have when it comes to starting a fleet of Subs. The more characters you have with retainers, the better. I look forward to more of your videos!
I wouldn’t recommend this route at all. For daily players ++sssc running wreckage/dire will result in 22 hr runs, which will net you more gold per hour versus any other setup
I think this video is for people who have Free Companies or are interested in Free Companies. I'm not really interested. Then again, I cheat by buying story skips in the Mog Station, tossing the books and selling the 50 Allagan Platinum pieces over and over again.
A few tips: 1. When pointing to any page make sure to add its url on screen. If id didnt know mogship already I would have no idea what did you said mockship, logship? 2. If you title your video like the way you did without mentioning any fact about half year preparations, newbies who came here for fast gil will simply stop watching you for deceptive content. You will earn 1 view on video but clearly you wont get any subscriptions this way. 3. This guide is absolutely pointless when its based basically on spreadsheets info, yet you dont provide theirs url's. No one will come back rewatching video to find part with 1 spreadsheet showing optimal build at certain level etc.
With a little optimization, you can start earning faster. @ 75 - SSSC++ can do OJ (or 78 with S+S+S+C) - I have all 4 subs doing this in just under 4 months after FC founding. @ 90 - SSSY++ can do JORZ @ 95 - SCUS++ can do MROJZ - and this is my final build through to 110.

Subbed. You are my favorite now. Thank you for the very informative video.
Thanks for the kind words. Glad it helped!
@Bubbins of course my friend. I have been playing since the release of 2.0. I am mad I slept on the subs! Lol
Thank you so much for this video. Well explained and right to the point. Cheers.
I did all the parts for subs and everything without buying anything from the market board, gather all the mats and everything alone 🔥 so it can be done by 1 person a 100%
(For people wondering, just use crafting websites to track your mats and timed nodes and it makes the crafting extremelly simple, you can gatherer and craft everything ahead of time)
I can add my own 2 gil on this as the person who mans the subs for my FC. Bubs is correct on pacing yourself. You are right to get hyped about the money, which is awesome, but for most people who started today they'd barely start recouping their investment by Christmas. It's a slow process and you just have to get into a rhythm with it. Also, get ready to grind those repair kits. XD
I want to unlock everything but isnt it weird which areas will unlock via specific nodes
This video was good for business, I sold all my hulls, thanks!
Will you do an update for DT btw? (in case anything's changed) Just out of curiosity, since this was one of the most comprehensive guides I've found.
First rule of fight club..
I never ever thought about going back to earlier places to make gil. I just kept maxing up my subs to try to get the Orch rolls asap.
Somebody forgot the first rule of Fight Club.
Thanks for the wonderful video, Bubbins!
I don’t think they plan on changing it again from there.
if i only plan to do OJ because i like the simplicity of 24hr subs, would it just be best to stay with WSUC?
def helped me, thanks again.
first of all: your guide is really extremely helpful!
Have all the materials for my first sub made and now all I gotta do is win an auction. LOL TY for making this comprehensible to someone like me.
My subs take 1 day 20 hours for the 4 node trip, should it be faster?
So what about the submarine prototypes? Do i have to get all of them? I crafted the first proto and equipped it with 4 shark-class parts.
this person's voice could cure cancer im sure of it
Omg. Handsome voice with a handsome bun instead of a catgirl for once. I subscribed so fast, LOL
Good video!
I'm gonna test this out with the two subs I have maxed out now. If it works, hooray, since I always like getting more money. :D
Would SSSC++ be better then the SSUC++? Seems like the 25 retrieval might be more beneficial.
No cuz ur break point is 195.
Four subs per FC. The FC itself owns them not players.
ik this is sooo late but when you finalize the reports are you taking the rewards and so others won’t be able to get it too or is it shared ?
It goes only to the person finalizing
So, with WSUC++ at rank 89 going OJ.. it's normal for it to sometimes not bring back any salvaged stuff, right? The gil per day is an average collected over time, right?
Yes, I've had days with 800,000 and I've had days with only 40,000 between all four ships.
Thanks for video!
Is it worth the effort to unlock all the nodes? I'm about to hit 85 on my first sub and just wondered about finishing the 3rd map and the last 2 maps.
Not particularly, at least if you're only interested in earning money.
Is WSUC still the cheapest build you can run OJ at level 85 or has that changed with patches?
Still the cheapest!
Running Modified parts can get awfully expensive though (in terms of Repair Kits), so running WSUC builds on an OJ route should suffice for most filthy casuals who don't want to get too "greedy."
For those of you who are new to this and are just starting out, welcome to Fight Club. 💕
I've been running the JORZ route and maintaining the subs (full modified) since July 2023. As long as you have a level 50 miner and/or botanist and at least one crafter at 50 with the recipe, you should be able to craft the repair kits. The Grade 6 Dark Matter can be bought with Grand Company Seals and the Dark Matter Clusters are farmed.
you can just buy grade 6 dark matter with gil from a junkmonger lmao its way more effective than spending grand company seals@@tsubasashi
@tsubasashi the expense is in how much more repair kits you'll need, not in the crafting of repair kits
can i do this all on my own from scratch? i own a small inactive fc and got a small fc house.
Yep! I did it with just two people
wish i could do this but the two fcs i was in both broke promises to me about me having the ships/subs lol
Shark one or Shark two?
I think because I'm a completionist, I'm gonna focus on getting everything to 115, keep an airship to farm mats while the subs focus on XP and unlocking stuff.
Once that's done, I'll farm JORZ
And craft WSUC parts for gil LUL
It's 2024. Everyone knows about the super duper extra super secret Fight Club. It's gonna be ok.
what house size do i need for this ?
Any size as long as it's an FC house
If you are doing this solo, how do I earn gain the Ceruleum tanks for the voyages?
Honestly you can throw up a party finder ad for ceruleum tanks
Ah thank you :D @@Drex2580
You buy them with fc credits from the vendor inside the craftshop
OMG, Ive been sitting on Gil!
He skipped the part where you also need to be lucky and wealthy enough to get at least a small plot and house for the FC. 💀
That's not wealthy or lucky. It's having the knowledge or even basic intelligence
@MMDTrxsh I have somewhere around 450 million and it took very little brain
@@MMDTrxsh it takes very little brain to move off a congested world as well. It's not luck
@@MMDTrxsh3 mil between multiple people is easy mode.
Getting an FC house in an FC ward is easy mode.
500k between 3 people is also easy mode.
Mfers when the group centric system can’t be solo’d as easily as an unsynced sashtasha run: 😮
OMFG Please make video guides on this. This has been confusing all to hell. I'll sweeten the request for you. "Likes and Subscribes"
The fact this is locked behind owning a house is so bull on the high population servers
Well shoot... I thought you could upgrade to some ++ and start farming at around sub rank 50... bummer its quite a bit higher than that...
Im so glad i bothered with subs. Ive never made money because i barely pay attention but i have all 4 unlocked and at least 2 over lvl 85. I have sssc++ because at one point i tried but now at least my smooth brain has better directions.
Somebody just broke the first and second rule
Well, since you talked about the fight club, time to sell a bunch of overpriced cryptomeria & pure titanium ore
Don't have access to my free companies subs or airships. Should have put that disclaimer in your title :(
Ah yes, How to make money: Step 1. Have money.
Thanks :)
I wish the subs and airships weren't an FC thing. I'm just not active enough to be able to participate in my FC's duties.
want easist way to make gil? become a XIV venue DJ or work in venues..... just have fun rping and make 20m a week xD
Yeah but that requires talking to people 🤣
Don’t TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB
Do you just use your retainers for dark matter or what?
"so it's 60 shark parts to begin with, 12 at rank 85 because we keep that 1 shark part" what?
16 shark parts to begin with! 4*4
looks at na non destroyed market damn things so cheap mean while eu way more expensive on submarine parts xD
I wouldn’t recommend this route at all. For daily players ++sssc running wreckage/dire will result in 22 hr runs, which will net you more gold per hour versus any other setup
I'm using this build as well and it turns out good so far
every 30 minutes you can make 2m from 10 minutes of fishing but hey 4m a week is better right?
Tell me your ways
18 FCs, 72 shark parts and one year of sending submarines out and I just made my first 36K lol 😂😂😂😂
I think this video is for people who have Free Companies or are interested in Free Companies. I'm not really interested. Then again, I cheat by buying story skips in the Mog Station, tossing the books and selling the 50 Allagan Platinum pieces over and over again.
Or get yourself a well suited FC at rank 30 with millions of company credits and a full unlocked workshop .. ;)
people having shell fcs are the reason the housing districts are scuffed and taken over by literal bots, you should not be promoting that
You're not suppose to make any videos on this. THE FIGHT CLUB DOES NOT APPROVE.
A few tips:
To be fair of anyone believes they can earn up (X) Millions of Gil without some kind of investment, plus not using the market board is a fool.
@@Icy.Jalapeno some investement and half year time preparation is totally different thing XD
@@Icy.Jalapeno also there are ways to earn million+ a day without any investement and only require a day or 2 of preparations, with no mb involved
Cool info but not new and Ashe10 made a video about it all over a year ago ...
With a little optimization, you can start earning faster.
@ 75 - SSSC++ can do OJ (or 78 with S+S+S+C) - I have all 4 subs doing this in just under 4 months after FC founding.
@ 90 - SSSY++ can do JORZ
@ 95 - SCUS++ can do MROJZ - and this is my final build through to 110.
Your better off Sticking with sssc forever if you play everyday. The Gil per hour is the highest with sssc running wreckage/dire
@@BlessedBeJESUSCHRIST I have multiple FCs, so the 48hr builds are more convenient.
Hey guys, Just wondering, do i Need to level up the fc to have a submarine running?
What other optimisation do I need outside the shark parts @ 75? PLS sir
there was a reason for this to be called fightclub >.>
Thing is that the time sink alone will keep too many people from attempting this. Not to mention the hurdle of getting an FC and a house.
Me being a sprout that just got to Hw- SUBMARINES?!
