Seriously, though, I'm not familiar with the light novels but it really kinda seems like for a while now the show has been sorta pushing Kazuma and Megumin towards canon ship territory. They just seem to have more genuine moments compared to Darkness and _(snrrk)_ Aqua. Is that just me? I figure she has to be pretty popular what with getting her own spin-off and everything, so I could see how that might happen.
Megumin is honestly one of the best anime girls out there ever. She might be a goofball who is a one trick-pony magical- nuke user, but she actually is a solid friend and actually cares about her companions to the point she'll go to bat for 'em and engineer a homerun out of the mess even if it kills her. I've been rooting for her and Kazuma to hook up since 2017 and this is just PERFECT the way she comes out and says it. My respect has increased for Megumin a hundredfold.
