Thanks again Thomas, you were right about the sport seats being to firm. I bought them in my new c43 and had to go and buy a foam seat cover to cushion the firmness. Looking forward to the C63s s when it comes out. I’m hoping it will be 4 magic as the power of the V8 is too harsh on rear tyres and also 4 wheel drive is much safer in the wet especially here in Australia where it rains a lot. Hence to reason I purchased a c43.
I love the new rear tail-lights on this model as well as the dual round tip exhaust on both sides. I think the C43 looks alot better with the round exhaust then the CLS

I had an HUD in a Toyota and have an ODB add-on HUD on my Leon. Never having to take your eyes off the road to know your speed is so advantageous I think they should be standard on every modern vehicle. They are still considered a luxurious extra by car manufacturers but are more of a safety feature in my opinion.
this is how the virtual cockpit should look like in all classes .. looks much better than just a boring long flat screen

I liked the C-shaped rear lights graphics. I wish Mercedes would make the E-Class rear lights E-shaped, and the S-Class rear lights S-shaped.
Spot on as usual Thomas. I love your no nonsense approach to these videos. You don't have that stupid, over dramatic presentation style that so many TH-cam presenters seem to use.
I really hate the whole fake exhaust tip trend. It looks so bad when you're driving behind the car and can see that the real exhaust tips don't connect to the fake tips. I think Lexus started the trend with the first gen IS-F.

As a current 2017 c43 owner, im very glad to see some nice cosmetic improvement. More modern merc design touches. Hmmm maybe i will trade in mine for a new c43 when its available.
Don't like the new standard headlight. Are those reflectors? Current GLC has static projectors. Also, it looks like they dropped the clock in the regular C class.

Because the A class is brand new car in general while this is just a refresh. But I did read that the overall hardware is the same so these should get the a-classe system sooner or later. They have only showed it thus far on the A-class and AMG GT 4 door.
They're trying out different things until they find one that people like.

For sure. But it would be too expensive to build a completely new dashboard only for a facelift.
Yeah you kinda answered yourself there buddy. Its just a facelift, the rest of the vehicles you mentioned are brand new models and the S class had double screens since 2013. Im sure the new model C class will have double screens when it comes out in 3-4 years.

I really like this car but if it didn't look like a e class or s class would love it and the hood doesn't connect well with the lights
always so weird to see that silver thing on the top of sedan trunks. now the c43 isn't even close to being a base model so why not carpet that area too, or at least paint it dark so it's less obvious. Just makes it seem a bit cheap.

Why does Mercedes still still make you pay more for decent headlamps? Standard with Halogen lamps? You see Toyota Corollas with LED headlamps. Even Audi comes standard with HID now.
At 4:53 60% rear and 30% in the front= 90% total, you sur its not 40% i the front ?

I like the face-lifted looks very much, especially the AMG-line!
But, despite the fancy new digital graphics and the new screens, its interior looks somewhat like a generation behind the E-Class, the S-Class and especially the new A-Class! The two-screens-in-one integration of those models looks much more modern than the C's stuck-on-the-center-of-the-dash IPad!! Nice steering wheel, though!! It looks very sporty!!
Also, I expected the face-lifted C43 to have the new EQ-Boosted Inline-6! Besides, Mercedes said that any of their current rear-drive sedans was designed to accommodate the Inline-6!

It doesn’t have a double screen because its a facelift and not a new model like the new A class is, and the S class had double screens from the very beginning. The Double screen will most likely catch up in a new model C class when it comes out in 3 or 4 years. As for the engine I think they only limited 53 for an E coupe because the coupe never had an amg edition, therefore making it special so people would buy something diffrent than a C63 coupe or S63 coupe.. Just my personal opinion.
Also, new cls has the same engine to probably fill the void between the classes and give something unique instead of 4.0 V8 in every single amg.
Krellay Yes, I know, but I probably grew accustomed to the previous generation face-lift, which was much more intense!
The 53s are no real AMGs! The E53 coupé and the CLS53 will be the range-toppers, so as not to cannibalize the S63 coupé-convertible and the yet-to-come AMG GT4!
You said it yourself, while the RWD cans can probably fit a I6 engine, the C43 with it's AWD system is already very cramped.
I much prefer this design for the screens..... i find terrible the "integrated" screens.
The w204 c63amg will always remain my most desired Mercedes.
Fake exhausts makes a car look very cheap.
Only if you crouch down and look underneath, otherwise....no.

Great as always Thomas. I just do not understand the fake exhaust on this car. I get it for lesser models and so you can create an image for hybrids and less powerful machines, but this more than anything else cries AMG Line rather than AMG. Particularly when the exhaust on the current 43 sounds so angry. It certainly doesn't cry out 'Performance Car'. Would love to hear an interview with a Mercedes designer explaining it. The Same with Audi and their new fakery. Sorry about the ramble.

In der Tat schwer .. ;) Nennen wir mal 2 Segmente , einmal Obere Mittelklasse und einmal Sports Coupe. Bei mir waeren es Audi RS6 Performance und BMW M4 Competition.
The side of the C class always looks a bit cramped to me, not so smooth as the Audi A4 or the BMW 3 series.

Seems they're making the C43 more extreme looking, more like the C63. I'm honestly not a fan, I like my cars understated and the C43 was such a nice sleeper car in that if you specced it discreetly you could park it almost anywhere and to most people it would look just like another C-Class.
That may be for you, but for majority of people a C43 is still a very expensive car and a nice less priced baby AMG. That being said, people who buy this still wanna show everyone that its an amg, if you want a sleeper get a c400 and tune it a bit.

shingnosis thats awsome and all man you’re a car enthusiast and thats great, but I was talking about the vast majority of people who will buy this car. Its a cheaper baby AMG affordable to more people, meaning alot of them will want to brag with it and Mercedes knows their market, so they’ve made it look more like an AMG and less of a sleeper to boost sales.

Bill Win it's not. The e class/BMW 5 series/Audi a6 are mid size though this c class would have been considered mid size a decade and a half ago.
