I watched this video a handful of times before I painted my campervan using Totalboat Wet Edge in seafoam green this summer. (review and picture on Amazon) Not perfect, but I get a lot of compliments on it, no one believes it was rolled on! Smooth sailing!
I built and sprayed my own boat, launched 12 years ago. The paint came out really good! And it turns out you're paranoid about people with hard dinghies, fishing sinkers, coming alongside docks, etc, etc. And 12 years later the sun and salt have done their thing, and the boat needs painting again. I'm seriously thinking about rolling and tipping. To spray polyurethane these days, you really need to be in a shed, and it'll cost a fortune, and 10 years passes fast and by then the paint is getting old again.... So thanks for the video, and congrats on the paint job. It looks great!
The reviews are probably accurate. The owner is CRAZY! It’s getting worse by the year we hear. But it’s cheap. So if you mind your own business, never pay with cash, always get & save you receipts, and get out as quick as possible you’ll probably be fine. The yard has electrical problems, the travel lift pier is rotting away, and the lift operator isn’t the greatest. If you can afford anywhere else, I’d go there instead. 🫣
I have another question not sure if you can answer it or not but here goes I bought a 1974 35ft morgan and it has three adjustable back stays the outer two are removable and I have found that I either have to remove the boom topping lift halyard or the outer back stays to sail the boat is this normal and should I remove the boom lift once the sail is up or the two outer stays?
To be honest it is not as durable as two part, but I’ve seen wear on two part as well, especially from fenders rubbing. We have enough damage from the short pilings at the first marina that I’m glad we did total boat. It is much easier to sand and repaint the areas. Once we are mostly anchoring though, a two part may have been a better choice from the maintenance side.

We’re about to start our next project and I’ve never been happy with roll / tipping two part (too streaky, really need to spray it), hence researching single part and how I found your channel. Really enjoying the vids so far and once you’re away from docks / pilings and an anchor, hopefully the wear will really drop down on the paint!

How much paint did y’all use
We were able to do the whole boat with one can. So three cans I think.
