Helen vs Dahlonega Christmas: Which Georgia Christmas Town Is Better?

- The Christmas season is here! It's time to get in the holiday spirit and head to the north Georgia mountains for some Christmas fun! Dahlonega, Georgia is known as Georgia's Christmas town but could Helen, Georgia give them a run for their money? Both of these North Georgia towns are unique and offer some great Christmas light viewing and holiday cheer. We visited both over a weekend to give you an idea of what to expect during the Christmas season in each city. Both were beautiful in their own unique ways. Whether you choose one or the other Dahlonega, Georgia, and Helen, Georgia are both worth checking out during the holiday season!

We love visiting without the crowds, but your dinner spot tucked away looked perfect. ❤
Both of them have a lot to offer all year round definitely a place to visit 🎄
If you ever get a chance you should check that restaurant out that view is really pretty 😀

Well if you ever decide to do the start of the Appalachian Trail dahlonega and Helen are pretty much right down the road. You should check them out 😁
The food was really good! I've never seen orange slices on a tree before I don't think it was really pretty 🎄
They film lots of Hallmark movies in dahlonega.
I haven't been to either place, but I liked them both. It's so fun seeing the spirit in different places 😊
Both of those towns are really unique in their own way! Now we got to go do Gatlinburg and Cherokee North Carolina! Hopefully we'll have time to do that this year 🙂

We got hot cocoa also when it got cold at zoo lights. Really liked how incorporated b roll to your brolls. Really cute town. Both these towns are so pretty. I’ll let Rosalie know about Grinch Santa.

During the Christmas season and really most of the time, I would pick Dahlonega over Helen most times. Helen does look pretty nice during Christmas, but the rest of the time at least to me, it’s a little bit on the tacky side. Dahlonega has a lot of galleries and shops that are neat to visit.
As a sidenote, you might want to invest in some Bluetooth microphones, because a lot of the audio in this video is very hard to hear and/or muffled.
Both towns are definitely worth a visit I guess it just depends on what you really wanting to do. During the summer I definitely prefer Helen just because of the tubing and all the fun things to do like Putt-Putt and stuff. If I wanted to relax I would definitely choose dahlonega.
Appreciate the input. Most of the time we do a lot of hiking and stuff so that's mainly the reason why I haven't really invested in them yet most of the time it's pretty quiet out in the woods. I'll probably get some soon though for stuff like this. Appreciate you watching!
Helen was always festive during the holiday season. I think Dahlonega was better than Helen. Lol
As far as being chill after the actual lighting of the tree. I think we agree dahlonega is more chill I think Helen just looks more like Christmas with all the colors 🎄
