@@angelberrios7843 i am eventually once i get a roof rack system. might be a few months before i get to that point through because i want to get my tonneau cover and bed rack set up first. I just installed the bed reinforcement brackets yesterday so i'm ready to load that bad boy up with overland equipment now!
i go through the aux switches in the earlier videos when i mount the 12 inch light bar... the wires are actually really easy to access, the switches in the cab just control the relays and the wires are ready to go with 4 in the engine bay and 2 back under the bed by the rear bumper. check this link out for a image of where the wiring is. www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=9160&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&Uid=G2259806&ProcUid=G2259810&userMarket=GBR&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False&buildtype=web
It is on a separate switch so if it is possible to turn the daytime running lights off these would still be on, not sure if you can turn off the DTRL though. I’ll try it next time I drive my truck
No, no issues with the front camera, the only thing that requires calibration when removed is the forward radar for the adaptive cruise control as far as I know.
Is there a reason you opted out for the bed liner? Are you going to get your own? I'm thinking about getting underbody rust protection, so do you know if it voids the warranty? I'm stuck between the amber lights you have in the grill or the 3 that fit in the openings just above that. It only takes 3 small holes to be drilled for the wires. Also looking at roof mounted light bar, maybe a pursuit bar and push bar/brush guards if I can find one I like.
i bought this truck off the lot without an order so a bed liner wasn't installed unfortunately. I do plan on getting it done in the next few months... no real hurry because it will cover up any scratches in put in the bed, i just need to make sure there is no rust. I like the look of the 3 lights and a few small holes is no big deal in my opinion but i really like the look of the 4 lights. from what i have seen, the 3 use a few small LED's at each hole that you can see individually, but the 4 down lower defuse the light really well and look like they are just glowing amber markers. I think if i had found the 3 when i ordered my 4, i would have gone with the three but now that i have the 4 i am glad i went this way
as for the pursuit bar, i love that idea and i think i'll be swapping out the bumper eventually when they come out with a good one that has a solid radar relocation kit. a brush bar would be nice to be able to mount some lights on too!
I plan on adding an overland setup so weight isn’t a huge concern for me. It’s already a heavy truck, I’m not gonna weigh it down unnecessarily but I am not going to pay a ton for carbon fiber when aluminum is available for mounting options. I get wanting to keep it light, but for me will trade some weight for creature comforts and less impact to my wallet.
@@flaberdoopin a bull bar can weight 160+ lbs, a chase rack is 80+ lbs, then if I want to add a winch, more skid plates, bed cover, upgraded steel bumper, 1/3 of the payload can be subtracted pretty quick. Now add family and gear, it can get up there. Just a thought.
Agreed, the LEDs themselves are app made about the same and these budget companies are putting out some great pieces. I guess time will tell how they last over the long run but I have high hopes

Very nice light display!
thanks! I'm happy with they way it all came out
@@flaberdoopin are you going to install roof light bar?

Awesome walkthrough 👍
right on, thanks for the comment
Great stuff man!
Appreciate it! Cheers
Hey @Flaberdoopin did you do a video where you tied in to the aux switches in the overhead? I wanted to see if there is an easy way to access them.

Have you found any covers for your tow hooks?
i have not looked for anything like that, i didn't know that was a thing but now i want some!
Can you keep only the amber light on and the rest off?
It is on a separate switch so if it is possible to turn the daytime running lights off these would still be on, not sure if you can turn off the DTRL though. I’ll try it next time I drive my truck
Did you have to have the cameras recalibrated when you took the grill off ?
No, no issues with the front camera, the only thing that requires calibration when removed is the forward radar for the adaptive cruise control as far as I know.

The budget lights are so good right now.
Auxbeam/harbor freight.
Also, this small company that i found out in san diego 'OZ-USA'.

You don't need to have high beams on to use aux 5 and 6? Maybe that's just an AU thing.
No, all 6 switches work independently from all other systems in the truck in the US. That is interesting that they run off the high beams out there
Where did you get the ranger? All my local dealers are asking 10k over and I’m tired of the games. I’ll settle for 2k like you did.
I got it in Maryland. Everyone local to me near DC is charging 10k+. When they did 2k I jumped on it because I didn’t want to wait for MSRP. Good luck
Too bright in front for me bc personally the lights are bright enough standard
The stock lights are super good on the road but out on the trails I like as much light as I can get
