British Airways 777 - flight 2263 - Approach and landing into Kingston Jamaica

- This is unedited video of the approach and landing of the BA 2263 service into Kingston Jamaica.
The journey was flown by Aircraft G-VIIP which is a GE90 equipped Boeing 777-200ER.
This time around I had a clean window without any scratches and the weather was marvellous as the aircraft approached Jamaica, however it inexplicably turned hazy during the final stages of the aircrafts approach. You can just make out the runway from 06:36 onwards as the aircraft flies past, prior to making a 180 degree turn to line up for final approach.
This time around I tried a different camera - a sony NEX-5T with an external stereo microphone. The colours are marvellous compared to my old Panasonic HDC-HS300. However as the NEX-5T is not primarily a camcorder, it overheats and shuts down if used for longer than 20 minutes or so.
The view is so beautiful when descending into Kingston, Jamaica.

The Aviator Hope it was worth the wait. I've uploaded the raw video as I'm trying to get hold of a decent video editing program so I can do the full takeoff and landing.
The wait was definitely worth it and Adobe Premiere pro is a pretty good editing program

What an odd approach. I suppose this flight was coming from Europe so the plane would be coming from the right side of JA rather than the left and over the north coast.
Yes if you look on Flightradar24 this is the normal approach for BA2263 unless the runways switch around which is rare

Jemel DAVIS-ABBOTT Assuming you mean the new WT and WT+ cabins then no. The aircraft based at Gatwick airport are usually last in the refurb queue :(
as of this year they're finally refurbishing them with the new cabin layout
So nice to hear relative calm after landing. On US-based airlines, the plane is barely on the runway when some egghead flight attendant decides to get on the PA system and recite "Welcome to Kingston (or where ever)" followed by a 10 minute list of things we cannot do. They are kind of like those agents at the departure gates....I think 10 gates purposely try to talk on the PA at one time just to enrage the passengers before we get on the plane to be further enraged by the (mainly) rude and condescending flight attendants.
It takes a long time to take a blund down there!

Not sure what you mean by new cabin? This aircraft has Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller. I travelled in club world. The club world cabin hasn't changed since its last refresh a few years ago.

Awesome approach. GE-90 definetly rocks. Usually they spray the cabin when u Fly from Caribbean to Europe, to avoid bringing mosquito discease to Europe, and barrely in that way. Nice vids. Greeting from french Caribbean.

U13 GAMER Sorry - I didn''t spot your post until now. The aircraft was a 3 class 777 with Business, Premium economy and Economy.
