Just returned from Jamaica 3 days ago and loved every minute. I've been 6 times for family vacations and so happy you are there and I can't wait to see you video's !!
Zach. Try this next time : Club Mobay was well worth the money to have personalized escort to speed us through customs plus a lounge for refreshments before heading out with transportation to resort. Club Mobay on return also had a fantastic lounge in the airport, drinks & food before flight home. VIP service is worth the splurge, especially for first timers to Jamaica because the airport can be very crowded and confusing.
Glad you are in Jamaica. The growth in tourism in Jamaica is at an all time high this year and the airport is in flux with changes and upgrades inside and outside of the property to keep up with the demand. I travel home frequently and am glad to see that they are trying to make things better everytime I visit through Mobay. It still has a lot of work to do but it’s headed in the right direction. Looking forward to your reviews. 😊
Oh i am so excited your in Jamaica, we went a year ago and loved it so much we are going back in September this year. The airport was very chaotic at the time we landed many flights coming in but the new renovations were looking really good. Look forward to watching.
FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! In Jamaica... I have been following your page for some time and your Punta Cana reviews really helped (even though I ended up not staying at any of the ones you reviewed) but it gave me a general idea of expectations. Enjoy my island home. Wishing you great vacations.
We are heading to Ocean Eden Bay in May, flying into Montego Bay and have never been to Jamaica before. This was super informative and a good heads-up on what to expect! Looking forward to your resort vids so I can start planning my next one;)
I stayed at 'Secrets' in Montego Bay last June. Lovely resort and not too big like some of them are. It's over 18's only and too expensive for student groups, so it's quite select and a lovely, classy resort. Beach was wonderful and the food much better than expected
WELCOME TO JAM AICA! Next time, when you clear customs, go to your left and ask for the JUTA desk, it's usually on the =right hand side. Tell the clerk, you want to go on the bus to say Ocho Rios, or Negril. Several other persons will be on the bus, and the far is around US$50 one way. 2 days before you return to the airport, ask the clerk at the hotel front desk to help you make an appointment to get back on the bus to the airport. Now in a few weeks we're heading to Jamaica for the first time and as we're doing our research on TH-cam your videos came up again! Hope to see more of your impression of Jamaica before we leave. So excited to hear your reviews on some other destinations. We always only ever stay at Sandals and Beaches but would like to see a fresh perspective on the others.

Some of the transportation companies have a desk in the airport. Inside is where you would meet the agents who will finalize your driver who will meet you inside.
I love Jamaica! I've only been once. We had to go through a line and talk to a guy behind a desk thing and I asked " Why do we have to do all this?" He answered in his wonderful Jamaican accent.. " To make sure you leave" LOL Ok I get it now. Makes sense!
Hey hey Sir James ! I was literally just wondering when your next video would drop and bam there it was . That Delta line looked crazy busy . I’ve only been to Jamaica on cruises so have never flown there. Definitely looks chaotic. I’ve flown into Barbados and the Caymans which seems quite tame in comparison. Looking forward to your hotel reviews . I’m off to Vegas in about 2 weeks . 😎😎😎
Yo Anthony!! Yup, think of me and then 💥, I'm in your feed 😎. The pools in Vegas should fully opened by then - I'd guess you are staying at Aria, cosmo, or Bellagio
@@Coolist You are correct sir ! Staying 2 nights at Cosmo and 4 at Bellagio. Have dinner reservations at Le Cirque . I need to go back and rewatch the video you did on your dinner there . I recall it was pretty epic .
That dinner aged well. One of the very best I've experienced, on and off the channel. If you don't mind a more causal experience, sit at at the bar - I found the service to be more personalized and the bartender there is in my comments in that video. She's a total pro - the staff there was.
Happy to see that you're there!! Can't wait to see the videos🤩 I want to visit Jamaica soon...so your videos will help me a lot!!! As always, GREAT video! Thank you so much for sharing!!😍
Took us 3.5 hours to check bags and get through security to leave the airport at the beginning of January. But our flight was delayed by 2 hours so did not mean a missed flight. I have been to Jamaica 11 times and twice it was like this. If going near a holiday or weekend I would by the Mobay Club to skip the lines. The extended family did not want to pay so this was the result.
Our experience at Mobay airport was horrible. We filled out the paper form on the airplane, but when we got there, it was the wrong one. We had reserved a car at a well-known car rental agency only to find out "It doesn't work that way" in Jamaica. We were offered an upgrade, for more $, or a smaller car. This process took almost an hour. They told us to wait outside for the car to be delivered. That took almost 2 hours, and they wouldn't let us back in the building. Jamaica was great! The airport was horrific.
Hi JAMES. I’m so glad that you’re going to Jamaica. My father was born there, but I’ve never been. I will be going to Excellence oyster bay at the end of August so I hope you review it before I go. Thanks so much for your reviews. By the way, the name of the airport is Sangster airport named after my cousin.😅
Stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe twice , Royalton Negril and hoping to stay at the Royalton Blue waters (Hideaway) this sept , love the Jamaica Vibe ....James which hotels are you going to stay at ?? loved your videos on Punta Cana we stayed at Breathless ;-)
Mobay airport is currently doing a major construction upgrade and things are changing daily, so it is very chaotic. I'm quite sure it will settle down when the work complete.
When flying to Jamaica, ALWAYS get Club Mobay at the airport for both entry and exit. Upon entry you get your own private customes line to go through and lounge to hang out in while your transportaion is arranged. When you leave the country you get to hangout in the all inclusive food and drink lounge.
The last 3 times I booked Mobay it was a waste of money. Unless you’re arriving on a Friday or Saturday afternoon. If anyone would like to chime in other time frames “it may be worth it”.
My wife and I have been contemplating Jamaica. We're waiting on your review to help possibly make our decision easier. Jamaica is one of the most beautiful places IN THE WORLD! There is something for EVERYONE. All 14 parishes are different and have something to offer. South Coast is known for eco tourism, where the locals easily blend in with the tourists. The Eastern section, like Portland, is known for a different kind of eco tourism being so green. You can even google your preferences if you're not going through a travel agency or check Jamaica Tourist Board for options. Negril has 7 miles of white sand beach and crystal clear water. The water is as blue as it gets! It doesn't matter if you're staying at the west end of negril or negril proper, you can walk from one end of the beach to the next and have access to food and drink on most. I hope you have a better experience next time using the tips I suggested.
