Sentinel Septim shagaru is a elder dragon. it's gore magala that isn't for some weird reason, despite them being the same monster. Probably because shagaru is the elder lol

The gore magala isn't classified because only his adult form was known in legend for being a dangerous elder dragons. The guild discover his juvenile form recently and they have some big dissimilarities(which is normal since they evolve like pokemon xD). Compare to others elders dragons which don't have big differences between their juvenile and adult form. The only elder dragons who is close to him in that way is the xenojiva

After the BS Behemoth and Ancient Leshen, him and his virus landmines feel like a perfectly balanced and player friendly monster (even the lv140 one from MH4U). I would like to have him (and Gore Magala) in Iceborn...but the MMORPG direction Monster Hunter World has been taken makes me feel uneasy about the expantion. If it is confirmed, I would quit the franchise.
tbf those two monsters are collabs with other games so they probably went the extra mile because they didn't want to make them look like total pushovers, I don't think we have to worry about that when it comes to Capcom's own creations.
CantaPerMe: I hope so. I have no PS+ and a limited/not a good internet connection at home. When Capcom decided to scale HP according to solo/multiplayer, I was afraid we would end up in this situation: solo monsters with very little HP and on the contrary, MP-only monsters with too much HP to be taken down solo reliably (67 000 HP for Ancient Leshen...more than 3 times Gogmazios...). They really should have kept the old formula...Great run as usual. May you keep playing MH for a long time again.

I don't think I will ever be able to to competently play with others already, so I've just been avoiding MHW for a while. I don't consider myself terrible at the game by any stretch, but I neither like running randoms or are near the level that Canta plays at. At the moment I've been slowly doing the solo quests and wistfully looking over the offline Hunter's hub in MHGU. I just can't bring myself to play with others.
I agree with the description complain, shagaru has always been the shittiest elder dragon in Monster Hunter 4 (IMO), with stupid rng and shitty hitzones and frenzy bombs on the floor under you.

@@gavinxq1224 dual blades have the highest dps in the game, although they lack raw dmg compared to other weapons like insect glaive or longsword, people pair it up with crit sets to make up for the lower raw. On top of that dual blades have an exclusive feature where if the first hit of a combo is a crit, the rest of the hits following the said first hit have 100% affinity. I respect insect glaive as my secondary but i always main dualblades.

Has valor dbs outshadowed adept dbs? I used to speedrun Shag back in gen with adept dbs and the results were pretty nutty
adept got nerfed it no longer fills arcdemon meter and the sharpness fill from valor means more uptime

Did you also use palico as companion? If yes, unequip them and do solo without them

the valor gauge increases by a little with each hit even in valor mode so constant aggression helps you stay in that mode for longer
