- I was at least aiming for sub 4'30 considering that CB's dmg output is not the best in GU.
Sadly I didn't get it, some mistakes here and there but that's one of the only runs when I could prevent Astalos from flying away thanks to the KO at the end, and I got a nice finish.
Also we are few days away from MHRISE release so I wanna take it slow and not burn out.

Most speedrun prefer Critical build rather than Phial damage cause Critical Boost is OP in genU
Artillery Novice provides a 30% damage increase for Impact Phial, while Artillery Expert offers a 35% increase, capping at 40%. By combining Artillery Novice with Felyne Bombardier, it's possible to easily reach the 40% cap.
Crit Boost results in a 40% damage increase for all Sword and Axe attacks when landing critical hits. However, Sharpness also contributes to this damage. For example, the Kahlan set in the 4:57 mark does not include Crit Boost but instead features Sharpness +2, which provides a damage multiplier of 1.39.
Sword and Axe attacks with Crit Boost or Sharpness +2 yield similar damage outputs on Astalos. For instance, a Draw Slash Motion Value of 18 with Crit Boost results in 43 damage, while the same attack with Sharpness +2 yields 42 damage, now with Artillery Novice a single phial will do 18 damage and without Artillery it goes down to 13, so as you can see Artillery is a must if you gonna constatly use Phial burst on AED or SAED attacks.
So Kahlan utilizes Artillery Novice and Felyne Bombardier for maximum Phial damage, along with Sharpness +2 and Absolute Readiness, ensuring consistent damage throughout the entire hunt, hope this information helps.
Very late answer but yes, I would much prefer to have Crit Boost instead of Artillery but CB is obviously impossible to fit in my build cause I'm not using a strong talisman. Artillery only needs 5 idividual slots to be equipped so that's better than nothing.
@@kahlan-mh2774 Tenderizer 6 ooo are not cheat charms they aren’t even god charms they are just rare (btw i have 4 of them). Just go charm farm Brachy. It is possible to fit Crit Boost and Artillery but the charms are rare and difficult to get. I had luck with my tend 5, artillery 5 ooo charm but first i used a tend 6 ooo and a two slot weapon to get the same result.

Nice run! You could probably trim some seconds off if you GP the tail electric attack instead of Valor sheathing. Like the Morph to Axe GP I mean.
