This run is so clean it almost looks scripted, dayum.
Most speedruns are scripted. At least as much as possible, anyway. The amount of practice, planning, and positioning that goes into these runs will never cease to amaze me.

it is scripted. 90% percent of speedruns i would say is scripted. The rest are rng with the monster's behavior
If Namielle ever shows up in future MH games I hope its fight gets a redesign because I absolutely adore everything about this monster except for it's actual fight.
What’s wrong with it
i agree, Namielle is the coolest elder dragon, it just has the worst battle. I myself have come close to beating AT Namielle, but there is just too much water. and sometimes, it's like it spams it's stream of water at me, plus it moves around too much.
@@jorrisbohnson3466 For me it's the way puddles are integrated into the fight they have some of the most questionable hitboxes in the game with both electric explosions and the flood wave attack and it's also about the hitzones it just feels terrible hitting this thing.
It feels like I'm the only person who thinks AT Nami is fun...
@@scrapox217 I thought I was the only one. I hate Nami’s hitzones (or lack thereof). I don’t even dislike the monster’s attack patterns, I just feel like I’m cutting into jello.

Only mid animation, after you’re done with the 3 hits you can only continue the spirit blade
@@PeppoLS mate, I have my couple hundred hours on LS (and a couple thousand over 3 chars on most of the other weapons too)
and I have played a lot of LS, but never even tried to cancel SpiritCombo-3 because it never used to work anyways xD

Goodbye iceborne, after years of one of the greatest monster hunter games ever, I remember when world blew up and tons of famous youtubers played it (even jacksepticeye, even if it was for a little bit) I was like “monster hunter is finally getting the attention it deserved” and honestly, it was one hell of a ride. Monster hunter has come from just a few people playing it on the 3DS, PSP, etc. to millions playing and being a awesome community. Farewell iceborne/world. Hopefully monster hunter rise will be as impactful as you were.
We still have MH6 to look forward to on Xbox Series X and PS5.
(Before someone corrects me, no MHRise is not MH6, it's a spin-off like MHGen)
@@bernadettavarley I don’t think rise is a spin off. It still has a main story and everything, but it’s definitely not also in the mainline story. It’s kinda in the middle of them both for me.
The decision to make Rise a Nintendo Switch exclusive is going to hurt it a lot. Even if it eventually comes to PC, the limitations of the Switch console are going to hold it back.

Rise won't be anywhere close to MHW for success and they know and are planning that.
It's like MHGen, it's a spin-off to keep us happy until MH6 comes out.
Plus, the only limitations of the Switch are the visuals, other than that it can do any gameplay they need it to.
@@bernadettavarley i still find it funny how people say "graphics are more important then gameplay!!!" Every post i seen on twitter has been almost that. Which is kind of sad... (not talking about people who are excited for rise btw. I am most certainly excited.)
It pain me so much seeing all those LS hitzone bugs knowing how hard you try your speedrun; I hope that one day they'll fix this.

The foresight to helmbreaker THOUGH HER NOVA made me realize that after 750 hunts with LS I am still a novice. And here I thought I was getting decent.

Namielle is the coolest looking monster
Im kinda noob with LS, can someone explain to me how he builds a gauge so fast without the RTx3 combo in 0:14??
He bite Nami one to fill some energy in sword, after timing roar and using parry attack to this roar (you can parry all roars), with some energy you can make parry, after if you bite monster after this move you will fill full energy in sword, after you can continue spirit hit to make line around energy of sword and lose all energy in a sword. He made this. After he repeat this to make line to red. This is the base mechanics of longsword. Parry and make you line around longsword from 0 to white to orange and to red line.

Just curious but what makes it bugged? I'm not an LS main so I don't really use the weapon that often.

Let me enlighten you guys, if you ever pick up the longsword one day, and decided to do a helmbreaker on a head,(helmbreaker has 7 hits) the anime slash decides to give you the middle finger and 1 hit goes to the head, 2 hits to the left butt cheek, 1 hit to the pinky toe, 2 hits to the tail, 1 hit to his hard pp that does grey damage.
Same goes to the iai spirit slash. You can miss the 2 hits entirely even if you are point blank in the monsters range and said monster was like ‘you have no idea how fast i am, im fast af boiiii’
Capcom did fix the leniency of the helmbreaker to be more forgiving when landing the hit. But the precision will still go haywire. It be like that sometimes. Thats why longsword is the number 1 most popular but bugged weapon. Everything changed when helmbreaker and ISS came in. I want my spirit reckoning and LS guard point back.
@@Syahburei ok that explains a lot. I've seen people practicing TA runs and sometimes see them miss hits or do little damage with LS and i wonder "did i miss something or was that really a wiff?"

So is Fatalis gear and LS just so strong that even Namielle's 40 fire hitzone on the hydrated face isn't enough to make Safi gear with Kjarr fire worth it anymore? And why partbreaker? We're you hoping to get two part breaks to dehydrate her or does breaking the head increase the damage it takes?
Sadly, elemental LS wasn't much of a thing due to its reduced Helm breaker modifier and only good on Alatreon runs (even then, they just go full raw and die to judgement just to kill him faster)

no, mhw is basically done now
it's the perfect ls showcase you could ask for her. Sad you sometimes get to hit wings when you are well positionned for the head. Tip for newer players: he uses impact mantle to proc better stuns, in a normal playtrough with less gear, you can weave in slinger shots when doing your spirit spender combo if you are on the head, it stacks stuns pretty well but alternatively it also makes monster flinch sometimes so you can do it as a defensive measure anywhere on the monster if you feel like you probably yoloed too much starting your combo there. You really don't have to be frame perfect to kind of semi lock any monster with ls, having gear makes it way safer/easier obviously but better playing well ^^'.

Ok, so here's a little question I've been meaning to ask; do you cancel the foresightslash mid animation, or do you redirect the slash into a helmbreaker or special sheathe?
Can you rephrase that? I'd answer but i have no idea what you're asking.
You interrupt the foresight slash with R2/x to enter special sheath or R2/triangle to initiate the helm breaker...

I will not miss this fight. Terrible attack hitboxes on the puddle explosions, randomly hitting the wings no matter where I'm swinging, and chasing the whippy bastard around the map were horrible design choices. Fatty gear only makes it faster, not better, and that's saying a lot.
What move is it when you use RT+B / R2+O and then press what for the 2nd hit to level up your weapon (White, Orange and Red bar) ?

actor 2: got hit and split water and got dodge and got slash again

Nope, this is the previous AT namielle. Iceborne is done man. We sadly need to move on.
It's possibile they may do another AT, but also it's possibile they may not.
Generally we don't know if they are truly done with Iceborne or there are some event quest left... however there's still another kind of dracolite left in the files so if we get another AT I'd bet on AT Safi.
