    Feel bad for CTC. He was robbed off one point by umpire bad called for Momota fault at net kill when it was crucial 20-20.
    I must say I’ve never been a great fan of CTC but he has gained my support for the first time.
    He played extremely well in this Denmark Open, and he has improved tremendously for his court coverage, speed and shots quality.
    CTC gave the top form Kento a very hard time and we seldom see Momota played this aggressively.
    CTC stamina has caused him the 3rd set. Credit to Momota ho is able to perform so consistently. A very rare talent since LD & Taufik.
    It’s been such a wonderful final performance by Momota and CTC .

      It is really hard to say if there was a fault or not. Momota just touched a tiny bit of feather which could be on his side. I have not seen any middle-net view for this shot to tell exactly what had happened.

      It's almost impossible to tell based on the footage we saw. Pro players complain every single time about it, that's nothing new, but since we don't have access to the real net view we just can't make that call here

      No Saint Thomas this match was closer than the one he played with Anthony ginting, CTC was matching or almost exceeding Momta in terms of skills, Momota's better fitness won him the match, I am pretty sure a fit CTC would be too hot for ginting to handle, But you never know about momota he could again worked hard to exceed his level, it will not be easy for ginting to beat a fully fit momota or CTC, My top three player in terms of ranking right now are 1) Momota 2) CTC 3) Ginting.

      I don’t know what the umpire could have done, even if he did make error. Would he say “you are right. My mistake. You win the point.” Only Hawkeye has the power to correct ambiguous human judgement, otherwise its human call for everything else coz there is no specific judge for net fault.

      @mmotip2672 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely, Momota made many errors on flick return to day, at least 10 points. That is the downside of the match. If you guy watched the match between him and Ginting at China Open, these type of errors rarely occurs in that match.

    • @anhletuanier
      @anhletuanier 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      in my opinion, in someway the errors origin from opponent's shot difficulty level and also the tactics that they apply to dominate the game, these young men are both world class players with high end skills so the possibility of making errors in normal condition is rare, but if they have to meet top ten players, the probability of creating them becomes higher and higher because they were uncontrollably pushed to make them.

    CTC’s problem is fitness, he always seems to be worn out when it gets to final points. His playing seems way less aggressive too, maybe affected by the lack of power, stamina. I’m a big fan of MOM but I was really rooting for CTC in this tournament. I’ve seen enough of him getting beat up by LCW in every single tournament a few years back. He’s been improving so much that he really needs some luck to win a tournament so he can gain more courage and confidence.

    Anybody notice the mic only focus on the conversations between Chou and his coach, but not on Momota's side ?
    In each game's intermission break, Chou's coach's instructions were 100% coverage, yet NONE of Momota's is presented; In the 2 post-game breaks, again Chou's is 100% yet Momota's side is only 5 sec each.This happened even when there are 2 side switches during the entire match.
    Is there some sort of systematic sabotage to expose the instructions from Chou's coach's playing strategy ? This happened, too, when the world #1 Tai Tzu-Ying (also from Taiwan, where Chou is from) is playing (see th-cam.com/video/PowqJQFaZZQ/w-d-xo.html )

Why so unfair..it should be best match if Umpire didn't do the mistake ..next time BWF must have challange rulles for neting fouls...seriouslly this is should be consider for the next event

      Large people move a bit slower, they usually have a bit slower speed of action. Which is very critical for badminton. But they have major advantage it's not easy to get the shuttle over them to the backside.

      Can your racket go over the net in the middle of a rally?
      The answer is Yes, it can go over the net. The next part is important…
      BUT you are not allowed to take the shuttle before it passes the net to your side of the court.
      ... and of course your racket shouldn't touch the net as well.
      In this case, its more likely the shuttle has not crossed the net.
