Oh God is really fair.. I mean after the disappoinment in asian games last month, he finally did it... As like steen said, ginting did all the hard work, injured as he almost won over shi yuqi in the team event, then beat Chen long, momota in the individual event but just got bronze.
He always got bad draws in the tournaments, even i felt like ginting would never won if the draw is always forced him to fight against the great players from the start. But i forgot that he get the skills... From the start he beat all the champions from lin dan, axelsen, chen long and all were super tight with rubber games (except for axelsen). And in the end He beat momota in just straight games... What a man... even the commentators and all the home spectators cheered for him... Good job, Ginting!! This is the dream final, so intense with super class badminton shots of the both players. You are true winner... and i'm sure that many more titles will come...

The New LCW and LD. period! This game needs more than just blood, sweat and tears. Highest quality of Badminton. Defence was out of this world from both Ginting & Momta. Beautiful racket game. Why is this not more popular than tennis? BWF needs to reach out to the world. Not just Asia and Europe.

Seriously speaking, this title of Ginting is the most impressive I've seen among major title holders if we talk about their competitors in a single championship run. This could be better than LCW's China Open 2015 when he defeated Lin Dan and Chen Long in the same tournament (2015 LD = 2019 LD + Axelsen).

My observation... Ginting is more calm and composed against players around his age (Axelsen, Shi Yuqi, Momota), but can be too nervous against senior players (the first set against Lin Dan was painful to watch lol). Please be more confident, Ginting! You can be the first rank player! Also, I hope LCW can recover soon and meet Ginting again :)

Also, I'd like to point out that in winning Ginting needed to beat the new world #1 who has only lost twice this calendar year and is current World champion (Momota), the world #1 at the start of the tournament (Axelsen), the current world #5 (Chou), the Olympic gold medallist and a twice ex-champion who is still world #6 (Chen Long), and a previous World and Olympic gold medallist who was six-times ex-champion and is still far from being a spent force in the game (Lin Dan). If anyone ever deserved to win a tournament, surely this was it.

Sepanjang pertandingan, aku terus berdoa, "Ya Allah, menangkanlah Ginting. Ginting cuman satu2nya wakil Indonesia, ..." dan bla bla bla. Aku terus berdoa. Pas ginting di set 1 ketinggalan 19-15, aku ttp doa dan dalam hati terus nyemangatin ginting lewat doa supaya terus fokus. Aku trs mikir positif klo ginting bisa ngejar dan Alhamdulillah ternyata ginting bisa dan menang 21-23. Di set ke-2, lagi2 ginting ketinggalan 4 poin (16-12) tp aku trs berdoa dan yakin klo ginting bisa ngejar. Daaaan syukur Alhamdulillah ginting juara.
Ginting udah banyak ngasih pelajaran buat aku dan mungkin buat org2 yg nonton untuk tidak menyerah dan terus berjuang. Dia juga keren udh bisa buktiin bahwa dia pemain yg patut diperhitungkan. What a great match. I thought it was my 5th times to watch this. Ever stopped to follow badminton after taufik hidayat era and knew Ginting from Asian Games, made me love badminton once more. I loved the way he moved, and patiently beat his enemy.. Hope he will be succesffully win in the next tournament.
Great match, class match... Akhirnya saya lihat pertandingan yg berkelas setelah taufik vs lin dan di era pertengahan 2000an, lcw vs lin dan di masa era emas mereka...
Anthony punya teknik luar biasa, mewarisi taufik, meskipun footwork dan defensenya lebih mirip lcw...
Momota punya akurasi luar biasa mirip lindan, tp footwork lebih bagus, meskipun power masih kalah dari lindan...
Footwork dua pemain ini sama, teknik lebih ke anthony, akurasi ke momota, defense perlahan anthony mulai menyamai momota... Soal power kedua pemain tidak terlalu mengandalkan power...
Tinggal konsistensi dan mental anthony untuk bersaing terus dng pemain papan atas, jika mental udah jadi, bukan tidak mungkin, pertandingan2 men's single ke depan akan didominasi momota vs anthony

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Momota so out of steam before. Great effort from both young men.
Because he's playing in every tournament and also teaching in the finals much less. It takes a toll off your body when you're doing that much work and not taking a good rest. He is also playing in the Korea Open which next week 25-30. As you can see, there is no breaks in between. Also, Ginting isn't in the Korea Open so there is a difference because he knows he doesn't have the stamina like Kento. If Kento took a good 2-3weeks of rest, Ginting wouldn't even be a match to Kento much.
I retract my statement, Ginting is also playing in the Korea Open as well
@@jordanchai7313 well, this is not the first time ginting beat momota (watch their asian games match). I think momota's stamina isnt really matters, it seems that momota doesnt really comfortable with ginting's playing style.
Jordan Chai if you look at the match it's not kento stamina who make ginting win, but becaute of ginting play.

It's a mind control, Ginting has developed it since Asiad 2018, the spirit never give up until the end. In the team event only foot cramp stopped him from winning against Yu Qi, he got stuck against CTC in individual event but then develop that mind control day by day that he can beat 4 WC just in a week. Let's hope for consistency. He still far from being the best but someday I bet he will.

What a fantastic match. The points at 21-21 and 22-21 in the first game were unbelievable. My friend who is Indonesian and knows much much more about badminton than me has always told me that Ginting has the shots if he has the temperament. Let's hope he can build on this and join Momota and Axelsen at the very top.

Amazing game,Indonesian player didn't give up and very calm mode.did his best and he did understand Komoto game and make strategy accordingly. He deserved it.A great defence by both players.
