Great video guys!! Was nice seeing St Croix again. I worked there for a while several years ago and loved it there. Of course it helped that I stayed right on the boardwalk there in Christianstead. Fair winds and have a safe passage.
Love your channel!! Keep it up… I do watch lots of sailing channels and I love it when they show a quick google map of where they are and where there headed. Might seem obvious to you guys as your there and in the moment. But I always have to go look up each spot and see where your heading and what doing. Just a thought. Love you guys. Safe travels.
@@SailingJibsea thanks for the response! Guess I should become a patron and help yea out! Cheers guys! Keep it up. I am leaving this winter on my sailing adventure and I have never sailed. One day I’ll find you guys and we’ll have drinks and spear fish!! I’m also leaning from Miami so your channel has helped tons.
We've travelled several times to St. Croix and we love seeing it featured in videos. We're moving there and will be cruising the northern Caribbean from there. Thanks for showing it off!
the underwater shots were epic glad you guys got a new cam I getting ready to send you one. Just been on 4 day covid lock down here . Them spuds look good I going to make some now .I like the squish and grill idea.🙂🤙
@jibsea Those are yes Vietnamese SPRING ROLLS, they are really good and with correct sauce it's really darn good,, yes as we live in Thailand those are all over and really darn good and healthy
We have 1991 Hunter 42 passage that is right there in the bay by the sunken boat. Called Windsong II and we could see it in the background of your video which is cool because we have been off island for a couple months and haven't seen it
Good one! Especially when we all went out for Viet-ma-knees! Hahaha . Too bad you didn’t film some of the trip from Fredericksted to Christiansted. That would have made some good footage! 😜
Good video with Great color, underwater as well 👌✅ We Don’t know we’re you’re at Right Now, But assuming you are In Grenada 🇬🇩 already with T S Elsa going by with the strong circulation mostly above and behind the center of it. Some friends that have been there (Grenada) a while said everything was North of them 👍 and it was OK 👌 BTW, those potatoes 🥔 looked really interesting, gonna hafta try that REALLY soon. All of your cooking looks great though...!!!
He guys you need a weight belt to help you dive down to compensate for your buoyancy of your deep breath while freediving . this will improve your diving tremendously .
Thank you! A little deconditioned having left the Bahamas but I’d say comfortably at about 25 ft for me, 30-35 ft for travis. But if spearfishing, we can go about 10’ deeper (the pursuit always allows for a bit more time and depth 😆) We’ve never timed holding our breath underwater but don’t think it’s too long
Each country has different rules so some we had a fishing license included with our cruising permit (like the Bahamas) , whereas some countries don’t require permits for recreational fishing like the USVIs
@@SailingJibsea I ordered Tides for my new Precision Main with the hope I can drop the main without going to the mast like you do..... $1250 Cdn is not cheap but I expect I will be doing a lot of "Sailing without help" when friends and family come....😎.
Great video and great under water footage. Love the Honey Crisp apples. Thank you.
Wow, what a fantastic dive site at the pier!
Great underwater shots. Good job. Wishing you a safe sailing and much happiness. ⛵
thank you for the kind wishes!
Nice under water shots guys. The GoPro was well worth the investment. Nice looking homemade bread Steph. 👍
Thanks! We’re def happy to have picked one up😄
Good to see you guys sail off the mooring. It's really not hard if you have room. Soon,, try sailing ON to a mooring. No motor happy feeling
Happy Canada Day🇨🇦
Good footage.
Nice laundry shots
Amazing footage. Lovely seahorse.. Definitely, I will check out Step's crispy "mashed" potato recipe
Just found your channel. You are living my dream. Love it! All the best to the both of you.
Awesome, and welcome! Glad to have you along for the journey ☺️
Loved 😍your video yes sea horses not shown very often good for you
Thanks! Yeah we were pretty pumped to finally see them!

Glad you enjoyed the footage! St Croix was great to visit
Really like the underwater video under the pier. Looks like you did a fine job on that loaf of bread also.

haha well that would have been awfully generous! Let us know how the potatoes turn out!
Looks like sailing ⛵off anchor went well you should try run and set when anchoring ⚓ works well. Happy sailing
Nice underwater shots. Cool, like Seahorses, only had seen them in a Zoo.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed them
@@SailingJibsea I know you are out there somewhere. Be very Careful Hurricane Elisa is heading to Florida from around your area...

You know what, I think we may have passed by you guys while on our dinghy in Georgetown when you were cruising through! The name sounds familiar ☺️
@@SailingJibsea well that's interesting we have not been to Georgetown but our boat is right past the sunken boat you snorkeled in St Croix

maybe a check valve on sink drain, i havnt tried it and you wont have to close seacock every time
That looks so dang fun. What a life. Wonder what the story was with that sunken sailboat?
If you guys didn't snorkel the reef along the beach at Buck Island, you missed one of the best snorkeling in the Carib.
Yes! The East end has a beautiful reef. Deep water too, visibility at least 10-20 meters

Did I hear something about a new boat at the end of this episode?
Dude! You need to try Pho…it’s awesome!

Great underwater video! Which GoPro did you get? Safe passage
we got the Hero 9

Hi Jibsea,
Are you required to obtain fishing or lobster permits for each country you're visiting?
Each country has different rules so some we had a fishing license included with our cruising permit (like the Bahamas) , whereas some countries don’t require permits for recreational fishing like the USVIs
@@SailingJibsea Thanks for the quick reply. Fair winds and following seas to ya
Are you using Tides Marine track for the Main?
no we aren't, but we need to figure out something to make it slide down easier

$1250 would buy a lot of McLube for the track.
Does he own a shirt?
Can you close your through hole? Awkward! Lol Travis…..
😂
You guys need to change your intro music, as The Sailing Family uses it.
That would have been a coincidence! Went to go check them out, didn’t seem like the same music though
@@SailingJibsea Opps its at about 3:26 into you video
We use epidemic sound which many TH-camrs also use, so I’m not surprised that the same songs are used by other creators..Great song!
