I can't Thank You enough!!! You helped a lot. These Fast Animation Results were so annoying when I used to animate something, let's say an idle animation. But now I got it. THANKS.
buddy its a great i have a question if you key something on move thing and how to animate properly like its doesn't play accordint to my scene like i have key in movement but i didnt know how to adjust key properly
Look at things in real life and then try to adjust the timing of your key frames to match. Try to do simple movements and it takes lots and lots of practice
Pick your frame rate that you want to have in Maya,, either 24 FPS or 30 FPS or 60fps. That will be the frame rate of the rendered animation. If you want something to move slowly then use keyframes to make it take more time to do the action. If you want something to move faster than move the keyframes closer together
I animated a scene at 20 frames and I want to render the sequence in png format but in i want it to be slower... So will it work in exporting render sequence in png sequence or its just for viewport?
When you import your image sequence to your video editor, you can slow down the frame rate, but it'll seem choppy, if you want it to look like slow motion, render it in a high frame rate in Maya, then in your video editor make the frame rate much lower and it'll look like slow motion and not be choppy
You adjust it just like adjusting every other user element. Hover your cursor over the edge and then it'll change, click and drag to adjust it to the height that you want
Hey, can you help me? I've spent 2 days trying to remove keyframes from a clip in the time editor, and I want to return those keyframes to the main timeline. I don't want the keyframes to be controlled by the time editor. How can I do that?
@@WhatMakeArt hey thanks for reply, .....no, I added the motion path value, the 'u value' attribute, to the time editor by selecting 'create clip from selection.' This changed the color of the 'u value' attribute box to yellow, indicating it's now controlled by the time editor. Unfortunately, when I used 'create clip from selection' on the motion path, the 'side twist' attribute values didn't get included in the time editor clip, only 'u value' did. I want to go back and add both 'side twist' and 'u value' to the time editor clip, but I don't know how to do it. Currently, I'm following the Maya Rocket 101 tutorial from the Maya Learning Channel.
I know this is super late but if I try to render it at a different playback speed (say .25 of the original speed) would that work? Or is this specifically for the viewport
This will set the frame rate for your render, and easier way to speed or slow it down is when you import it into an image editing program and then you can interpret the footage at a different frame rate
hello, some how some portions of the time slider doesnt show keyframes. it goes in gapes of every 6 frames no keys visible but visible in channelbox, then after the gap you can set six keyframes then gap of 6 frames then 6 keyframes. Whats even more suprising It was fine until I changed my GPU from rtx 4000 to quadro p4000. What could be causing this,.
hello! when i open maya, the timeslider starts at frame 11 instead than frame 1, so the timeline shows 11-25 instead of 1-25. I couldn´t solve this issue in preferences, i would like to set it to 1 - 25, so it shows like that when i create new files. Any tips? Thank you!
@@WhatMakeArt Yes!! and I set the time slider to be at 1-25 from the preferences window, but when i close and reopen Maya it opens at keyframe 11 by default
What if you make a playblast of this? Then this play speed is back to its original. I have this problem with my animation. It is to fast and can't change this for my final playblast. Does anyone know how to fix this?
does anyone know what is the frame limit cap in maya? like animation start/end frame cap? is there a limit or say if your computer can handle it can be infinite or no? someone help clarify it for me.
Maya has an upper limit of 48,000 fps but not sure about the actual length of the animation, I imagine it is only limited by computer memory but might have some arbitrarily high hard coded limit

if I want to speed one object , and another - slow, should I make multiple frames more for slow motion of ONE object?

how do i change camera on the time slider ?
for example i want cam1 to be from frame 1-50 and cam2 from 51-95
You can do that in the render settings, it is the movie clapboard icon at the top with a blue gear
Very useful, thank you!
Great, happy animating 👍

How do i adjust the Time slider height like in older maya versions
You adjust it just like adjusting every other user element. Hover your cursor over the edge and then it'll change, click and drag to adjust it to the height that you want

Interesting situation, best thing in those situations is to reset preferences and then see if anything is better
