These look so pretty. I’m happy you made this video I just bought molds from a company who makes them for cement candle making. I also ordered hydro stone that’s coming today & my molds I am so excited to start making. All I’ve been doing is watching you and others your the best for helping get started and learning from you. I also ordered my soap stamp on Etsy from people in my area. I also bought silicone on Etsy from someone in the states I want to make my own molds. Rhonda you are the best you have given me hope on business. I have 2 online orders for other products labeling is the key to return customers also an amazing product is the most important. Thank You so much God Bless waiting on the next video😊
Awe thank you sweetheart. You are such a gem. I have a new interview coming up with an amazing USA company . It’s still loading . So I know you will want to see that. I’m so happy you are giving it ago. The best moulding thing I’ve found is the hydro stone. It’s amazing and I love it. I’ve created a tie die looking one to and that’s going to be my floral frenzied in. I am planning on doing a video on creating dust covers for them to.
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery Oh that’s great I will be waiting to watch. The dust covers would be great learning for all. I also bought boxes for my candles I took your suggestion I’m so excited about business again. Have a blessed rest of your day I just got my order for mango butter I have to restock on a lotion that sold out twice which I’m so great full for. It’s early morning so I’m out of work again so it’s a sign to be diligent on business I’m going to try doing a video while I’m making lotion.
I love your video. I have learned so much from you. I would like to ask you a question. How much would you charge an individual just for the vessels. I was to make a few for a bridal shower wedding, and I have no idea what to charge. Thank you for sharing your gift and talent.
hi there. thank you for the message. it it is for the countinaers i think you would need to charge $8 at least for the small ones to make any money at all as there is a lot of work involved to make them
Thank you for all your content and authenticity! I recently started making hydrostone containers but I’m struggling to find a sealer that works. Earth safe finishes in the US has been recommended but I need to purchase something local. Would appreciate your feedback. Thank you!
I used one that called castmonite sealant which is great and works well. I got it from barnes supplies online. The trick is seeing that your insurance will cover it to
Yes right . Mine is still quiet thin. It’s easy to pour so making sure your mixing it well as mixing it for up to 1 minute helps to thin it out. I do 300 grams powder and 100 grams water and it’s the perfect consistency
@@karenMQSoapery thank you. It took me a few goes to get it right but here’s a look at the end result nelsonsoapery.com/products/barrys-daughter-210g-cement-clay-jar-coconut-soy-candle
I don’t like tins every one has them so I’ve been watching different videos for making like stone and clay and cement candle vessels they look so different and beautiful to me im that person that will pay 60 dollars or more for candles the big ones I really love candles but I like the ones that are different
100% agree. There’s a market for both but my goal is to have a small store so I need something different . I sell mine wholesale to now and they are flying off the shelf
As far as these not being perfect, that’s the coolest part for me. I like that they don’t look like factory made duplicates ❤ Beautiful work!
I so agree. I’m really happy with the results. I’ve now mage 6 different colours and they look amazing so I’m sold on this process
Greetings from the 🇺🇸
I love your molds!
I make my vessels with HydroStone too. I love working with this stuff.
Thank you lovely. Yes amazing product ive just made 180 candles
That’s so cool! You are such a great teacher, always very informative!
Awe thank you. That’s lovely of you to say
These all look fantastic Rhonda you've done an amazing job making these. Thankyou for sharing the links for us to make too.
Your so welcome .

Hi! Can you make a video about thd pros and cons of making your own concrete vessels.
Sure i can. I was only just talking to my daughter about it
What’s the best colour to add to hydrostone and how long should they be in a water bath for
they look fantastic!
Thank you lovely
I love these! giant shell ones would be amazing too.
That’s true . Thank you

Those look great. What are you sealing them with? Thanks so much for sharing!
A water based non toxic product called castmonite seal
Awesomeness! What color pigments can you use with hydrostone? My trays came out with grainy areas where the acrylic paint surfaced😢
If you mix it in more . If it’s to thick then use another brand
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery I really appreciate your response
Those are beautiful! How long will you wait to seal them and add wax?
They need 3 days but some have had 3 days . I’ve done one tester and it looks great
awesome - will they be for sale eventually, dear?
Yes hopefully in a week or so
non ho capito dove posso trovare gli stampi in silicone che hai usato. Grazie 💝
I get them from suppliers in Australia - le mould or ETSY
Have to add powder to water. Form an island and let the powder absorb the water. Then stir. It has plaster in it.
The powder needs to absorb the water. You are right in that
So, do you let them dry for a few days and then water bath or water then dry?
No you can waterbath as you sand after you remove from the mould
the ratio is 1water: 3 hydrostone by weight right? I always got a very thick mixture that is difficult to pour. I wonder why is that so.
Yes right . Mine is still quiet thin. It’s easy to pour so making sure your mixing it well as mixing it for up to 1 minute helps to thin it out.
I do 300 grams powder and 100 grams water and it’s the perfect consistency
What do you seal them with ?? I actually got a taller mold to try
Yes I wanted the wider mould. I have been dealing with a sealer that’s non toxic water based called castmonite seal
They have been sold out of the wider one for awhile now on Amazon I’ve been watching for it too and non toxic is good let me know how it works out
@@karenMQSoapery it works perfect. I’ve made candles and tested in them and they are perfect. No bubbling and holds amazing. I’m very happy with it
That’s so awesome I do want to try it they look really good
