First Ive ever seen of this series. I ve heard of it in passing a couple times. Rik Mayall is so good at playing a slimy character isnt he? Great actor.
I knew that Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie acted together in the Black Adder series and few other things but was not aware of this scene in the "New Statesman". Funny as always.

Rik Mayall certainly wouldn't like some of Prince Andrew's associations. Alan B'stard, OTOH, who had no problem making arrangements with Girl Guides...
I know people who sincerely believe this is how these things work. I brought someone to a party once who casually expressed support for a local Tory and woke up to an email requesting that I never invite 'that sort' again. Violence was discreetly threatened. No snob like a reverse snob.
He deserved to be sacked for crazily grabbing other peoples half eaten lunches for them to eat. Sad how the disabled guy at end lets himself be completely degraded.
