The thing I notice about every guy who's this good at joinery and wood working is how clean their shop is. The attention to detail and respect for materials extends beyond the workpiece and into how they treat their shop, tools, and even their floor.
I wish you would do a video about your planning stage. How you think of the look and the execution of the build. Your results, your resources, your knowledge - all top notch. Clearly your planning would be too!
Dusty I always love when one of your videos comes out you Sir are a true artist and Master Craftsman so amazing watching you work how easy you make it look. You are so inspiring to me to do better as a new woodworker with limited experience and knowledge and tools but I’m hoping that someday I’ll be just a little bit as good as you are. Thanks for sharing your talent with us all
The Wood Whisperer with a thousand toys has done it again! Another beautifully crafted work of art. It's always a pleasure watching your perfection at work
It's both. The only want I can see is that I would love to see it flat pack better for relocation, but this is nearly the best I could think of. The beauty surely outweighs the rigidity of so many glued parts being stuck in that config.
As a woodworker im not impressed by the tools Im impressed by the vision and skill it takes in planning and layout. I have no doubt this guy could build the same frame with lesser tools. The only advantage to having all the expensive tools is speed and accuracy. These are essential to being profitable in a woodshop. If you are a hobbyist and you have enough time you can easily create the same frame using mostly good quality hand tools.
I have no idea how to properly describe your skill level. Professional would be an insult. Superb, excellent and extraordinary all fall short. I'm just grateful that I found your channel and get to witness greatness and even that word falls short.
People can say you do all of this good work because of the tools at your disposal. I see God gave you a gift. You make those tools work your vision. Phenomenal!!!
Your videos are part of my 2.5 yr old son bed time. He loves to watch them and snuggle. He normally makes it through a few shorts and one video before he’s asleep. Thank you for more than showing your art work while allowing us to bond.
That 50mm chizle is the best tool in the shop. Looks like shefield 502 hardened steel. Looks like chromium plate but it isn't. Sharpens to a razors edge...
Some cracking work there bud! However ... I hope you've reinforced the bedroom floor to take the weight of both that and Goliath when he sleeps on it! I've seen railway carriages built less robustly than that! 😮😂😂😂
You're holding back woodworking learners with all that much equipment. My advice to you from Algeria and from third world countries is to learn simplicity and humility because the machine in your hands is a dream of all carpentry lovers in our poor countries. Thank you, we still love and follow your channel
I want to see your collection of left-hand screw drivers and the spare bubbles for your spirt level. Can you get me a couple of long waits while you are at it
How many ways are there to complete build? Dusty has that covered! I think I'll go take a hardwood pallet apart and make something. You always inspire, brother 👊
So I have a question about technique or method. When ripping a sheet of Plywood (4'x8') in half so to obtain near 24" halves, if I pencil my mark at 24", I assume that by putting the blades on dead center of the pencil line, I'll get 2 halves but they will only measure 23-15/16" wide. Given that the saw blade is 1/8" thick. Is that correct, Dusty? I'm making drawer bottoms for my workshop...Done with Worm Drive Saw and a straight edge, no table saw.....
The thing I notice about every guy who's this good at joinery and wood working is how clean their shop is.
The attention to detail and respect for materials extends beyond the workpiece and into how they treat their shop, tools, and even their floor.
That means a lot Thank you very much
Dusty, you're not a carpenter, you're an artist. I look forward to all of your videos
exactly
That means a lot thank you
Truly amazing craftsmanship!!! I can watch this man all day long!!! I don’t know of anyone better!!!
I appreciate that !!
Youre the best festool commercial ever!
👍
Ha ha my thoughts exactly.. And those tools are way too clean to have been used previously
I wish you would do a video about your planning stage. How you think of the look and the execution of the build.
Your results, your resources, your knowledge - all top notch. Clearly your planning would be too!
Perhaps one day

Wow thank you 🙏
@@dustylumberco
Well it is "Dusty"
🇺🇸 🫱🏼🫲🏽 🇨🇦
The right equipment and knowledge of how to use them is the true art. An artist is nothing without the medium
It's both. The only want I can see is that I would love to see it flat pack better for relocation, but this is nearly the best I could think of. The beauty surely outweighs the rigidity of so many glued parts being stuck in that config.
I’ll second that.
Dusty's woodwork is on another plane. It just blows the mind.
That means a lot thank you
That's a heavy duty bed, if ever one existed.
I'm totally agree that Dusty is an artist and he knows very well the magnifique equipment Festool he has in his shop
Thank you
Awesome vid, and thank you for showing so many different ways to make the same joints, without overly expensive tools and machines.
It looks like a basement for a waterbed!!!

The sharpness and precision of this man's skills and tools, will be forever satisfying to watch! 🤩
All my tools are rusty and inaccurate. 😂
Thanks 🤣😁
I have no idea how to properly describe your skill level. Professional would be an insult. Superb, excellent and extraordinary all fall short. I'm just grateful that I found your channel and get to witness greatness and even that word falls short.

I appreciate that!!
It makes woodwork fun when u have all this tools. 👏🏽👏🏽
People can say you do all of this good work because of the tools at your disposal. I see God gave you a gift. You make those tools work your vision. Phenomenal!!!
Thank you very much
You are top craftsman and artisan. Kudos!
It's like you maxed out the entire skill tree and obtained every weapon in the game, and then you used everything in one sick combo. Super cool!

That is awesome !! 🙌😁👍
I am just blown away! I could watch this all day!
😁🙌👍
Great video. I did not know that you could get connectors like that for use with the domino cutouts! That'll come in handy.
Cheers, and great work!
Thanks!! It was an awesome experience
That 50mm chizle is the best tool in the shop. Looks like shefield 502 hardened steel. Looks like chromium plate but it isn't. Sharpens to a razors edge...

Beautiful build. I was really surprised at 6:31 that you don't have a special tool to do those square holes 😁
I have one 🙌 I just share a variety of methods and techniques.
It’s amazing to me that he moves so fast and doesn’t need to stop to catch his breath.

Some cracking work there bud! However ... I hope you've reinforced the bedroom floor to take the weight of both that and Goliath when he sleeps on it! I've seen railway carriages built less robustly than that! 😮😂😂😂

I want to see your collection of left-hand screw drivers and the spare bubbles for your spirt level. Can you get me a couple of long waits while you are at it
Always satisfying to watch.
I appreciate that
Ok MAYBE it's a tiny bit nicer nicer than the bed frame I built out of 2x4s and 5" lag screws, but they both hold a mattress!
Thanks! 🤣
Beginner woodworker here, but I’ve notice that the more joinery on a project, the fancier tools required.
🤣 lots of ways. Slide saw, table saw, circular saw, router, mallet and chisel - you just have to get creative with what you have 👍
How many ways are there to complete build?
Dusty has that covered!
I think I'll go take a hardwood pallet apart and make something.
You always inspire, brother 👊
Thank you very much. I worked on this over a few weeks alongside other projects

Super Verbindungen, sauber gearbeitet, der hält auch einem Elefanten 🐘 stand 👍🏻

At the 5:20 mark can someone explain to me how he free handed those chamfers? Whats stopping the bit from just gouging the wood?
