I am a 76 year old ex Industrail arts teacher ,with 41 years experience. I wish I would have seen your videos years ago. I tried to teach you can, make the fixture/tool, and save money and have a wonderful piece of art that hangs in the shop. As a retired teacher now and now a very happy hobbyist/maker I really enjoyed your video. Thank you
I used to make many bespoke jigs in the joinery workshop and on site. I like your videos. I'm retired now but like viewing carpentry and joinery content. Keep it up. Great Channel 🔨🪚📐
I definitely wasn't expecting to see that vinegar used to make blue wood. I actually really like the dark blue on the second from the right piece. Very cool
Iron mordant : Iron (Ferrous Sulfate) is used alone as a mordant, as a color shifter and to increase lightfastness when used in combination with other natural dyes. It also used as a reducing agent for certain types of indigo vats. Iron is a versatile ingredient for the natural dyer
This is the perfect video to watch during Amazon's big sales. Money stays in my pocket for things that I cannot make, and building these jigs builds woodworking skill, not shopping skill. Clever clever ideas and solutions. Thank you, sir.
So much value you gave to me by sharing. You are BRILLIANT! I find this top notch; All with precise precision. You have sparked my mind in many ways. . This enables my woodworking projects to become higher quality. The elimination of hardware in my joints. The joints will be strong and last long. Plus there are a wide variety of ways to change up the looks by this as well. I don't think you could get any better. Thanks for sharing your wise ways my friend ✌️
Coming to woodworking late in life I am in awe at the level of creativity that you have shown here. The calmness and ingenuity is what really hooked me as usually I cannot watch more than a minute or so of TH-cam videos without having to turn off/move forward, and yet with your mutely detailed visual explanations I went the whole 37:18 mins completely captivated. I can only describe this as mind yoga, thank you : )
I have been watching your videos for a while. You are unique ! You think of things that others wonder why they didn't think of it ! That is a special God given talent. Keep up your hard work and keep putting out these fantastic videos. You are the best thinker and doer on youtube....period !!
You see quite a lot of easy hack videos ending up being impractical and pointless, but not this video!! Every hack in this video is something you definitely need in the workshop and can be implemented to make projects much more precise and also speed up the process. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video as it is both informative and practical. Please keep sharing 🙏, looking forward to seeing more content.
Un merveilleux florilège d’ingéniosité !!! Je prends soin de conserver précieusement le lien vers cette vidéo car plusieurs de ces astuces « simples » mais véritablement efficaces me serviront sans aucun doute ! MERCI 🙏
Innovative, well presented, practical and handy. I've not seen a video this informative and useful in a long time. I personally have gained a ton of insight, and I thank you for having taken the time to have shared your knowledge and experience with us! Hats off, and please do share more ideas.
A fantastic collection of valuable helpers for every bodies workshop. Brilliant tutorial sir. Thank you and have a nice weekend with your beloved ones. Regards from Robert out of a sunny Germany.
Your ingenuity, skill, and precision are a delight to watch. I always marvel at your videos. You have changed my understanding of what can be accomplished with woodworking. Thank you, Sir!
This is amazing 👏 I'm a retired finish carpenter and you practically invented the third hand that I often wished for. Bless you and very much respect Sir ❤😊
*There are some great tools in this one.* I come up with a lot of custom tools and accessory devices; *this style of videos has aided my ideas for many years.* The ability to manifest variable jigs in this video is aidful enough that there are some viewers who can setup a commercial shop if they employ and explore these ideas. *Speed and efficiency at the industrial scale and often for just a few dollars in materials to build the necessary tool.*
Grz
I am one of those people who watches videos like this and almost always thinks of some way to improve upon it. That never happens with your videos, Jisaku! Yours is a truly extraordinary mind.
Beautiful video, good as always! However, I would like to ask you a courtesy: could you make a video about your vacuum cleaner/remote-controlled system? I don't seem to have ever seen it among your countless videos. THANK YOU.
I bet I’m one person of many that would benefit from a bit of time in the workshop with this fellow ,I’ve never seen an item made in full bot so what some of this stuff is really practical please keep the videos coming
JSK, Most videos on TH-cam like this are usually filled with laughable and often dangerous suggestions. But yours isn’t one of those. Your video was full of great ideas. We all seen many of these before in other places, but it was really nice to see these all in one place and filmed so well. It was like having Robert Wearing’s entire classic book “Making Woodwork Aids and Devices” of 1981 👍 I particularly liked the boiling of the rusty screws with vinegar and water to make fuming/staining eboninzing solution. It was completely new to me. Here in the US, we more often just place steel wool in a jar with vinegar to produce that same solution.
Your Bench Dog trick was slick!! I have just built my first wood working table with Bench Dog holes and I am excited to add your solution to a problem I didn't know I would have :D
Hello, for me you are one of the best in terms of devices and wood machine construction. My question is, a device for sharpening band saw blades would be a job to be done. I have already seen it with a Dremel and a manual feed, but it is a total mess. Best regards

I was introduced to #4 with the use of vinegar and steel wool a few years ago. Handy stuff when matching wood to a 30+ year patina. I want to ask, I keeps seeing you pulling the planer towards yourself instead of pushing it away from yourself. Is that to do with the style of body or more a traditional method where you are from?
Absolutely. The music drives me nuts. I want to hear the sound of the woodworking! JSK-Koubou is the gold standard for how a woodworking video should be done.
Please can you demo the pale green suction tube for more hacks please? I am interested in this extension in getting wooden parts hacks. Cheers, great Bideo.
Number 2 hack, I would feel a little safer putting at least a brad nail or two through the wood and fabric. Last thing I want is a jack plane in my sternum. 😆 Great video and lots of good ideas!

Holdfasts and a doe's foot clamp are a great combination against a planing stop as shown by Mike Siemsen. All the best.
Cool tricks, not a bad video. Using a vice to make a vice was my favorite.
Your hacks are ideas are the best...have you done a video for the tool you used at 26:08 for marking out a centre line on end of board?
On 14, 15, 16 the idea of using magnetic sheet to hold the pull saw is simple and elegant.
