Actually, Gshock should have been keeping up way back when. Its quite late now as there are other players in the game that far excels in this field. They should have just added solar on their existing gbd200 and left the square series alone.
Love this watch and have one but man I hate the fact the phone app is so basic in comparison to Garmin. It would do so much better if Casio had added integration to Apples heathkit or Google Fit so that the data collected had a lot more usability too it. Strava integration is offered on the G-shock move app but not here too - AAAGH
No! not asking Casio to suck up to apple or google! i love the G-shock just as basic as it is. G-shock users aren't the type for all that integration. its for people who aren't constantly "nerding" about details but want a watch focused on brute hard data that is reliable and consistent.
@@John_Uche some of us are just that nurding - casio invested a lot of cash with Polar to get it's fitness matric right in this watch but the data is just about useless. It has o2 monitoring that via the app you can't use it for anything as its basically not available. Integration can be turned on or off by the user so its your choice if you want to nerd out or not. I love g-shock got a few along with garmin and apple watches and it was my hope to be able to use this in the gym environment but sadly it's not able to show me the info I want yet its way more capable of doing so as it records the data I want it just the app is piss poor at showing it. A fast track way of giving people that info is give it to the pro's that have a good few years on Casio in this area. And if you don't want to do that there is a off button for that. It's your / our choice
Facts about the watch so you don’t have to watch this dribble. >It’s a basic fitness watch with a heart rate tracker just like a medium level Fitbit it’s just more expensive so pick this one if you like the g-Shock styling and want a basic android based fitness watch and are willing to pay more for the looks. > currently all heart rate tracking in watches isn’t considered anything close to medical grade so is more for fun than for science. > it’s not an Apple Watch killer. It’s not in the Apple ecosystem and isn’t a smart watch just a fitness watch so the title is just click bait. Enjoy the extra 10 mins of your life ❤

Is this watch shock resistant?
Yes
I have a Fitbit for this stuff. For me, G-Shock doesn't need to go there.
Actually, Gshock should have been keeping up way back when. Its quite late now as there are other players in the game that far excels in this field.
They should have just added solar on their existing gbd200 and left the square series alone.
I think garmin entered on the shock territory with the Instinct series and probably that's why they compete.
@DWtuna, you are right. The market is pretty much splitted nowadays when it comes to smart watches.
I don’t a Fitbit so I’m happy G-Shock is finally trying to build a decent smart watch
And they miss to add multiple sport modes like cycling, jumping rope, etc
