Today grandma cooks Bún bò Huế, a popular Vietnamese soup noodles and one of Dalena's favourite dishes.
It was a great experience filming and eating grandma's BBH.
I didn't know how much work goes into it!

also something i feel like, that you can never master your parents or elders hands. Even if they tell exactly how to do it, you will never be able to make it as good as them. :D
In Asian households you always learn how to cook at least one dish.
Indeed, my grandma, great grandma and several aunts were the key reason why I am able to cook and bake, but the best is eating my grandma's cooking/baking, just a happy time when I was able to do that. =^.^=
And I'd surely love to see more of Grandmother's cooking on the channel. =^.^=

Please definitely film more of your grand mothers cooking. She’s making and you will be so thankful in the future - something wonderful to look back on. I love it. Dalena you should narrate the show to explain what your grandmother is doing, that would make the vlog perfect! So cute and yes we want to an eat off between the two of you.

I think the middle of vietnam has more appeal to me and because they dont use suggar in everything .food is not sweet which is nicer and healthier imho. :D kisses for granny .
@@andreifelea7205 I'm pretty sure that food in Southern Vietnam is more sweet than the rest of the country. Sometimes too sweet even for a lot of North and middle-part Vietnamese people.

@Dalena , Culturally, I am Vietnamese. When my aunt and mom passed away, no one wrote down/recorded the recipes so a lot of that Vietnamese food heritage was lost (obviously, I could find a recipe online but it won't be the recipes I grew up eating). Please don't make the same mistake I and my family did. Record the cooking and maybe ask your grandma if you write down her recipes (if they're not already recorded). Its really sad when recipes that have been developed for many years or generations gets lost.
Grandma is so cute and reminds me of my older Vietnamese relatives whenever she speaks. Her bun bo hue looks delicious. I would love to try it someday 🤤

I like how she is still shy even though she has been on this channel before but i understand her cause i actually want to do something related to face cam like making reactions or vlog like you guys but i'm to nervous cause i would rather have real people talk to me then random strangers watch me over and over again. I have a friend who is a youtuber now so i could probably have her let me practice getting used to being on camera. I do have a gaming channel but on that channel i don't do face cam with it or no commentary so i'm just slowly and slowly getting used to having my self out there.

I remember the first time I had Bun Bo Hue I was addicted, thought i would never again eat Pho but soon realised I still needed to have my Pho fix, Now i'm in a situation where I need my Pho and Bun Bo Hue fix. What's even better is if the Vermicelli noodle is the bigger size . Vietnamese food what are you doing to me?... Don't let me start with Gua Gung (Fresh Prawn wrap/roll). Maybe that can be the next "Cooking with Grandma" episode. Great work guys. After watching shops are close it's late and i'm stuck with Korean instant noodles. I will get my Bun Bo Hue fix in the morning for lunch.

Love this series!! I want to try making this BBH as well! There's so many different styles of BBH but I tend to REALLY REALLY love the recipes that use Mam Ruoc... it was only recently introduced to me because someone from Vietnam came over to cook it! When the Mam Ruoc is in the soup it's so GOOD and different to the ones that I have tried before (where you have it as a topping rather than in the soup, and the soup is usually darker as well). Can't wait to see more recipes~~ I want to see a Banh Xeo Party here >.
